All of his previous dramas maybe except the Double are a complete mess and they kinda keep getting worse the sooner he rushes into his next project. And there's too much slow motion lol

btw the director is not zrb, its lu haojiji and it's genuinely concerning...he didn't even spend some time reflecting on the criticism two of his shows received almost back to back and jumped straight into the next one. A good director would actually take some time off to study, revist, look back and try to understand WHY their previous works ended up flopping and getting cooked 🙄but yeah quantity is way more important than quality ig

I think ppl are being nostalgia bait bc we have had like 10 of this back in the 2011-2012 time travel kdrama craze 😭 BUT I'm so happy ppl are realising how amazing ljy is and that hnj is gaining recognition since I saw through his baeksang-sweeping charisma from the day I watched him on screen.

Tbh these are all idol dramas with whacky palace politics at the end of the day so if the politics are gonna be illogical at the end of the day, I want the show to at least have interesting characters, which this show does a better job at imo.

Ik many ppl loved SOK but I found the directing, acting and the comically evil antagonists a mess, I also didn't really like the side male chars that were part of the harem. This is very similar to kunning but I personally like it a lot more bc it does what SOK didn't deliver for me much better. Probably a very unpopular opinion but well 🤷🏻‍♀

This is the kind of drama that's probably gonna be critisized by Chinese ppl for the lack of logic in the political aspect and the innocent girl to vengeful and angry reborn lady pipeline was a bit silly but it's kinda whacky and super fun to watch and I genuinely didn't expect that lol 💀 I really thought it'd be boring but it's actually entertaining as hell

when gtg was on air i rmmbr them saying his original lines weren't too bad and I had a chinese mutual on twt who said cdl had the best line delivery among the actors in fof 🫠

I used to lurk on weibo and from what I've seen cnetz say abt cdl and zyr in their previous drams, neither is bad at standard mandarin pronunciation and line delivery. I don't really understand why they're dubbed here and tbh with the way things are rn, I would've preferred the whole show to be dubbed...It's really awkward that the leads are dubbed and the rest of the show uses the original recording 😭
