What doesn’t make sense to me is that he has six different jobs and somehow runs into Jung I Hyeon at every single one of them. Even when Jung I Hyeon gets a massage, Jae On is his massage therapist. His babysitting job is also at Jung I Hyeon’s house. That’s a bit too convenient. It just doesn’t feel realistic that someone would keep running into the same person at all of their different workplaces.
Massage therapist, actor, convenience store worker, café worker, costume character, and pet babysitter.
I know it’s just a TV series, but wouldn’t it make more sense to work one job instead of constantly changing uniforms and commuting from one workplace to another?
In my country, having multiple jobs can also mean paying more tax, so I don’t really see the point of having that many jobs.
And what are the chances of Jae On running into Jung I Hyeon at every single one of those jobs? Even the pet sitting job is at Jung I Hyeon’s house 😂
This show is so cute and adorable, but it’s also hilariously unrealistic lol.
I still have to delete my watch history because I don’t want my family to know I’m watching BL 😂
I’m more referring to the part where your boss walks in and it turns out to be your ex boyfriend. That kind of vibe 😂
Porn is made mainly for sexual content and sexual gratification. Whereas a BL series is a scripted drama with a storyline, characters, relationships, acting, directing, cinematography and an actual plot. Just because there is a sex scene or intimate scene does not suddenly turn the whole series into porn.
And seriously, did you actually see Park Si Woo and Kim Yoon Sik having real sex? Did they actually penetrate each other? No. They are actors playing characters. The scenes are scripted, choreographed and filmed with camera angles, editing and modesty garments. It is simulated sex, not actual sex.
You can absolutely say “I think the scenes are too explicit” or “I don't like this type of BL.” That's completely fair. But calling the whole thing “porn” is a different argument, and honestly it just shows you are confusing sexual content with pornography.
Because if your logic is that any drama with sex scenes is automatically porn, then what are we calling Game of Thrones, Bridgerton and Outlander? They all have plenty of sex and nudity, but nobody seriously calls the entire shows porn because we understand that the purpose is storytelling.
And the same thing applies to BL.
There are hundreds of BL series on MyDramaList with intimate scenes. Are you seriously saying all of them are porn? If yes, then you're basically calling an entire television genre porn just because some shows contain sex scenes. If no, then you've already admitted there is a difference between a drama containing sexual content and pornography.
You don't have to like the series. You don't have to like the actors. You don't even have to watch BL. That's completely fine.
But calling it “porn” doesn't make your argument stronger. It just isn't an accurate description of what you're watching.
So yes, criticize the story, acting, directing or how explicit the scene is. That's your opinion and you're entitled to it.
But if you're going to call something porn, at least understand what the word actually means first.
And lastly, treat people the way you want to be treated. Park Si Woo and Kim Yoon Sik are professional actors who have spent years training and building their careers. They are professional actors performing roles in a television drama, not porn stars.
That's really the difference between having an opinion and just throwing an insult around.
Think before you comment.
Five years later, Jane is working at a company where Big Jane is his boss. When Big Jane walked in, Jane looked completely shocked and surprised. Why is this giving me Double Helix vibes?
