I’ve seen a few of these already but Hidden Love is a new one to me and 18 Again has been on my to watch list for a while now. This has given me the push to go watch it. Thanks for the article. 🙂

Me and my siblings have too many inside jokes. I’m convinced the jokes will hang around even after everything fades when we get to old age. 😅

It seems like for this season the uncut bits are important to the overall story. In season 1 this wasn't really the case, so I'd say this season you'd be getting something worth your money if you chose to purchase the uncut scenes.

What irks me most about cheating storylines is that these writers just throw it in. It's never handled like they've taken the time to mould it as part of the story they are telling - looking at how that informs the characters and narrative. If they did, it would feel like more of a natural part of the story and less like a sloppy device for conflict. It's so annoying as its a surefire way to drag the quality of a series down. I was so excited for this season 2 but if they had a 3rd season I'd give it a miss as it no longer feels refreshing. It just feels generic, clickbaitey and lazy now. Such a real, genuine shame.

I really don’t like when second seasons use cheating storylines as a way to stretch stories since it’s only there to drive plot in order to feel like something significant is happening. It has no basis in character development and has the opposite effect of tarnishing the characterizations you’ve originally set up.

What if it’s all a master plan by that crazy female ex-friend to split them up by pairing Jaemin with someone else. 😱😱

They are for sure two of the better Thai actors. I've never had an issue with their acting. It's always solid. They don't always nail the characterisations in their series but it's so nice not having to worry about acting standards when I'm watching them.

I think Stay With Me became a hit amongst the majority of viewers. Even if you go by MDL standards, the majority liked it and the minority didn't. It's a remake that started off rocky but it soon found its feet and achieved great heights. I'd say it's up there with the more successful bl remakes.

Cherry Magic was also technically successful with audiences. As in more people liked it than disliked it. Less of a hit than Stay With Me but certainly not a disappointment for majority of viewers.

Many of the other bl remakes though, are the opposite, in that the majority dislike them and few enjoyed them. But you are right about this being an issue with remakes. The people who make them should understand that they need to bring their A-game because it's already an uphill battle from the start.

I think it was more that the consequences impacted the innocent people in a big way so she felt bad about it and wanted to fix it.

You’ve echoed my thoughts. That gangster series they were in was slightly better with the acting (maybe because Meen shared a lot of the screen time so it distracted from Ping’s acting a lot). So far, the first two episodes are Ping heavy so I can really tell how not so great his acting is (don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen worse). 😅 I’m enjoying the production value and story more in this one though. I’m enjoying the supporting characters more too.

The second part of this series must have been filmed around the same time as part 1 but is it just me or does it seem like in part 2 (so far) they have stepped up their game with the series (acting, storytelling, editing, filming etc)?

I don’t think we’ll ever be able to wash our eyes from having to watch Sir Underlip. 😅 I haven’t finished it yet but I will at some point in the future. I have seen Crazy Love. It was a decent k-drama. I’ve been on a bit of a c-drama marathon lately. BL is my bread and butter too. I’ve been binging some old ones. This bl was the only ongoing one I was watching.

Facts! They ate and left no crumbs in the last episode. I love everything about how tender they were in the nc scenes and the scenes on the roadside.

It took me reading a breakdown of My Personal Weatherman to appreciate the subtle ways Japanese people communicate and it's opened up a world of understanding for me. I appreciate and enjoy Japanese dramas even more now.

I didn't know you were a bl fan too. This series was just too cute. It started off as my filler series but I slowly became hooked. This last episode was HOT HOT HOT. lol
