The rumored cast list keeps changing in many melons which is why CZY’s fans always say they won’t believe anything until it’s announced. Still, personally, I’d love to see him take on a modern romance drama next, he already has three costume dramas waiting to come out next year (CD, JSWP, TGH).
Chinese dramas are censored, so they will not be able to show medical aspect in detail.
Do they really censor even medical content?? How can they produce the good medical dramas when the context ends up being inaccurate? If this were a Western series, professionals would criticize it heavily.
Censorship is also one of the reasons Chinese dramas are less innovative and keep relying on the same tropes. They produce a huge number of dramas but it’s hard to find ones with truly original stories. Many are adapted from books or web novels with similar plots.
By the way, I want him to take on a modern romance drama with an innovative storyline or a sci-fi series like Netflix’s 3 Body Problem, which was adapted from a Chinese novel. This is the kind of story they should be adapting into dramas! Okay, I have so many dreams 😅
