Nice to know, but it is there slapped just so unorganically, that u cut it out comfortably and you would end up with 20mins less bored audience. Second time is basically now. We got absolutelly nothing for fisrt 20 mins, now we are at minute 35 where you know what is the inevitable, but because u already watched trailer, there is no tensions, no surprise, no real expectation for today's episode and so u just pust the while they drag it to get to the same point... and it is still not coming! +cries+ That is the moment you undubitably know you WANTED, eve CRAVED instead of dad scene the second and third couple to come and do something interesting (even if you already suspect it is not going to be as fire as you hoped for) --- oh my, the time i wasted looking forward to this episode.🥹 Characters and writers, there is this golden rule: stick to it.
You can bring in new characters for us to hate. Now, if you bring in new characters later on in a show or book and you want people to hate them, they are probably gonna recognize it, hate you along with it, and hate the character, and you have no big issue there. But, like, if you are bringing in new characters with a positive vibe, then it's not gonna go together, and nine times out of ten, you just mess it up completely, and it's not gonna end well.
No one cares about late-coming fathers. No one cares about late-coming lovers. No one cares about late-coming whoever. Everyone wants to know the most about the characters that were brought to us at the beginning of your story. You have zero reason to bring anyone later on. Work on the characters you already have. You don't need the other ones. We know you have extensive knowledge of your world; however, what you brought at the beginning is what we care about. What you care about, you just put in your drawer and work on a separate story for a separate audience.

It's not gonna be what you want to show us. If you want to show us something, then make us care for it in the first place. If you haven't, and you know, because that's what you are working on at the beginning, when you are not tired yet. But, like, we don't care for what you start to care about in the middle of the book, in the middle of the series.
No one cares about a death that has zero consequences whatsoever for what happened till episode six and what's gonna happen in the next six episodes. Even if he saved the child of the main couple with his blood and died with it, and died for him, and died for his child. No one is gonna care about the dead guy much.
We care and root for things we've already seen, not the things that you have in your brain and never showed us in the first place.
So just skip it. Make a new book out of it. Like, really, don't include it at all. It's not important.
Ten times less important if you just do a half-assed job, where you basically just insert it in between as if it did not even belong to the world, or if it did not belong, there would be zero difference, really. And then, like, you did—it's like pieces of information we did not need. Like, why? Why waste your precious time and hours with this?
It's not only something that we don't care about; it's a postponement of the important parts. It's cutting out stuff that you really should work on to deliver to us.
And, like, the previous 5 episodes had nothing to do with how you started the beginning of episode six. And I am gonna be very interested in knowing how it is gonna connect with the next six episodes, because I think there is not gonna be any connection whatsoever.
You just wasted space and time for nothing. No one asked you for these things. No one wanted to know.
This series is unique for how it works with the intimacy and closeness of the two characters while they are in a difficult situation. We know there were some background stories for how that happened and why it happened that way. But you already fucked up with the delivery of that, and we got used to it.

Also... i would say most of it is Ollies charm, he truly cries lovely, which is my second time this year, i can't say anything nice about any other crying in dramas in the past 5 years (it is not that difficult, just please, connect it to what is going on, nuance it and tone it down 5 volumes to what you imagine and it is gona turn billiant, i promise. But no, instead we have here all the ugly cries (which would be still, fine of not...) for all of the bad reasons.

no, in this case getting obsessed is not an excuse, as despite that he is a licensed doctor/therapist and he know how much power he has over GZ without the flagging and nonsense and raping and what not - that is abuse of power, not a therapy-case. which means kicking him out of this field is first and second never let him work with people. punishment too, monetary or puting him into prison. and then dealing with his own traumas too, of course.
