...just a reminder: I told you at the beginning this is not as good as it looked at first sight.

I would still agree with Nle — despite its shortcomings, I really enjoy watching it.

Where I would disagree with Kentutkukus — and probably many others — is the acting. I don't think something should pass as bad acting if I can see the behaviour of real-life boys in it, and those are indeed many times stiff. I don't think what they did here is "bring a 2D character directly into a live-action drama" and that the result is "a robotic and terrible performance." This style might not be for everyone, so real-life people are not for everyone either. :D But I don't think the acting is to blame for this not reaching the hype heights it could have, because other aspects failed.

I feel like what takes the biggest care of the hype are truly and indeed the horny teenagers (ty for that terminology, sorry for forgetting who used it here before) as they are. And while that dimension is at its highest in the Korean BL industry, every other aspect falls behind. It's as if the quite serious background story and sub-stories, indeed running behind the scenes and giving us atmosphere, are not attached to the horny part at all.

We have a lot of dead spaces that could be worked around, but that's not the actors' problem. It's not their problem that two substantial materials are not blending together.

what is not weak...? also as for why - i guess it takes two sides and reasonable prices and enough numbers is why some dont get to be adapted. at least that is what semes strategic from here,, why or how really, i have no clue either

Calm down, Hercules. I am not attacking. I am also not watching yet, I have no clue about the setting of this series beyond this discussin, is why it surprised me so much. I could hear Czech being spoken in this series (1), plus in Heated Rivalry (2). There is also this series (korean) called Karlovy Vary (2026) (3), plus a Filipino series called A Secret in Prague (2026) (4). This is what just comes to mind right now, without me even trying hard. I hope that is enough for you.

ah, one more - Sui is lovably self aware. if you serach for silly stupid cuteness, the promopicture is misleading (and it as also not in a way). ... i just love this one. the actors are brilliant, perfect portrayal of the characters

but look, i am not making things in real time either, so i reconsider my whole system from "i have to watch what is out thet day even if i fast forward" from: ok, monday is basically no bl, so lets push what i dont make on weekends there. and - i absolutelly refuse to watch anything chinese that is not close to the end (airing wise) for the time being. even if i am in creative process and have where to rage those emotions out, it is safer not to start if i know there is gonna be rollercoaster. so - if you are searching for something inherently japanese calming, this is high on the rollercoaster from japanese bl live action. but it is nowhere near chinese or thai or korean drama or over drama, and it usually have safe emotional anchors where episodes end, so now starting it seems safe to me. if you search for more excitement, probably something else, if more calm, something else, if enough of both, sail here. Overall this one is exceptionally good and exceptionally well made series - even out of standard japanese series.

We really need a central MDL discussion for this. :D Anyway, this sounds like it should be a bug on MDL, not just a regular "missing a message" issue.
