I used to call him a paedophile until I was corrected by someone here.
He is most certainly interested in younger girls, in taking advantage of their naivete. He is a groomer.

However, I will however refrain from labelling him a paedophile because legally and clinically its not the correct definition. If I use hyperbole and lies to try and prove my argument and opens my up to misrepresentation of the facts. It makes me as dishonest as KSH and his agency Gold Medalist.

Precision is crucial in law and other areas to ensures that arguments and legal documents are clear and unambiguous, leaving no room for misinterpretation.

Respect to anyone who quotes Desmond Tutu. I never paid much attention to him when I was younger and living in South Africa.

But as I grew older and paid more attention to politics, I admired and respected him for speaking out against any injustice even if it was unpopular at that time. eg opposition to the Iraq War, and Israel's treatment of Palestinians as apartheid etc.
He was a fearless and a great man.

I have looked at some videos about him on you tube because I didn't know anything about this person apart from the wiki page. (What I know about his is based on others opinion and what I heard from videos so it may not be true. ). I like what he is about, and what he stands for - a refreshing change from other Korean actors. (lol - so I am favourably biased now)

I do have empathy for him, and am aware unfairly he has been treated by the media, the public and judicial system for what are basically victimless crimes.

I wish they would prosecute those who make false allegations of rape - and make it clear when its a false allegation. I tend to usually support the victims because I know how impossible it is to prosecute rape.

I don't know either way of guilt or innocent -but he deserves the benefit of the doubt based on the limited information.

Her parents approval and behaviour are irrelevant. It does not matter if her parents were good parents or bad parents. If they loved her or not.

Essentially you are arguing that if you come from a broken home, then you deserve to be a victim of crime. Or that children born in poor family households deserve to be exploited. Your argument is pathetic. And I am tired of this type of reasoning.

Also tired of the argument that her parents did nothing when she was alive. If someone injures me that it may not be worth my while to pursue any action as the damage is not significant enough. If later I find out that I have more serious injuries and its more costly then I have every right to pursue legal action.

There was no point in going after him when she was alive. He did not break any legal law by grooming her. When she committed suicide they become aware of the damage done to her and they want to address the issues. They may also be acting now to honour their daughter and what she experienced because they regret not being aware or feeling they had not done enough to protect her. These are valid reasons to pursue action.

If he is innocent then I do feel sorry for him and what he has to go through. And the bullying by the public makes it even worse.

I based my opinion of three points re the prosecution rape cases/drug use . I dont have any bias re drug use (I have indulged) / homosexuality (have friends).

ONE. Lack of evidence does not prove innocence. It means you were not found guilty because there is not enough evidence. The police deciding to not send it to the prosecutor does not mean that he is innocent. It means there is lack of sufficient proof to get a conviction. (And even with a lot of proof it is still likely that most rapists get away with it. How many rapists have argued that she wanted it as she was wearing a short skirt. ). It is scary how low the conviction rate is for rape. That is the reason why so few are sent to prosecutor and even fewer get a conviction.

TWO. Very few victims make false allegations about rape (this is a statistical fact). Its not a pleasant experience for the victim because it is a crime hard to prove and its humiliating. Its even harder for men to come forward.

THREE. In a situation where drugs are involved, its very likely that certain boundaries can be crossed very easily. It is highly likely that there may not have been consent. It is highly likely that there are no reliable witnesses for obvious reasons (they were also high or don't want to implicate themselves).

You are a fan and emotionally invested. There are fans defending KSH and not believing he groomed a 15 yr minor (which I understand is not illegal in SKorea before 2020). You would argue that he did not do it.

I dont know if he is guilty or innocent.

He answered honestly. He is not a psychologist/medical expert who counselled her and is in a position to give an opinion about her mental state/causes. It makes him more credible I think.

Edit: She died on his KSH birthday which is her testimony to what affected her. Now that is fact.

As per Wikipedia there was evidence of sexual assault but not enough to prosecute. Were you there? If you have FACTS then go and change the wiki page to that he is 100% innocent and the victim lied. Otherwise you are talking cr@p and full of bias

Objectively speaking it does not mean he is innocent either. They found evidence but not enough to proceed with criminal charges. Stop showing your bias and focus on the facts.

He was cleared due to lack of evidence (not because he didnt do it). Its extremely difficult to prove rape or to prosecute. About 1% of reported rape lead to conviction here in England. I imagine male rape would be even less (and fewer would be reported).

Really. He was accused of rape - but charges dropped due to lack of evidence. Its a big deal if its true even if there is not enough evidence to proceed with criminal charges.

Drugs are not a problem - the big problem is the rape accusation. Lack of sufficient evidence does not mean he is innocent.

Here in the UK there have been very few articles but not much attention has been given to this. I dont think S Korean artists are such a big deal here or talked about generally speaking.

I do have a feeling that there would be disapproval of the age gap and the fact that she was a minor if this reported here (and people cared about Korean actors).
