QingShu is such an idiot. Does she really hope killing XiHe will raise her chances with ChangQing? Can't stand that girl, really. 🙄HuaYong telling XiHe the rain in the northwest is something rare makes me think he has believed ChangQing's words that she might be his dead wife, and this was his subtle way to reassure her that he believes it and he's not about to expose her. 😌🤫However, ChangQing's obsession with XiHe just deepens after her destroying his wife's painting and burning the letters she had received from his wife? Yeah, that man must be a masochist of sorts to desire all that and to get happy from being pushed away, ignored and undermined by a ruthless, cold and cruel woman. 🫣🤦♀️But apart from that, I really enjoyed how well HuaYong tricked XiHe's brother into agreeing he's the best marriage choice for his sister... Perfect timing on everything! 😂👏Also, from XiHe's conversation with Princess AnLing, I gathered that she might have realized she has some feelings for HuaYong, but is afraid to allow them into her life, OR she is considering opening her heart to him, just hesitating. 🥹❤️And they finally are about to get a decree for marriage... yeeey! 🎉🥳

I liked Shen YunAn a lot. His protectiveness of his sister is very sweet and sometimes also kind of funny, especially his commentary on any man that even looks at her, the Crown Prince being the most judged, of course.😅And ChangQing and ChangYing becoming open rivals for XiHe — well, I'm not sure which one of them will be able to hold that rivalry longer. But my bet is on ChangQing. 🤨Seeing Kong Xueer was a delightful surprise. I kind of want her to be as badass as she was in PoJ, but well, her appearance in this episode wasn't long enough to tell what kind of character she might be. But getting that scar on her face? Wow — I know how everyone in c-dramas always worries even about the tiniest scratch on hidden parts of their bodies, so — the face? Mhm, her character is interesting to me right away. 😏Also, I can't really overlook how there's so much poisoning happening and how many times Noble Consort Rong is mentioned as a suspect. That only leads me to a question — could she really be that master poisoner and maybe was the one behind HuaYong's poisoning? But if that turns out to be true, I might be a little disappointed, because making us suspect the main villain so early is, in my opinion, not very good storytelling. I would prefer it with non-obvious hints throughout the story, gradually becoming more noticeable, or even a major plot twist when the reveal is about to happen. 🫣🤔And I had completely forgotten about that maid Long Ling! Where is she now, I wonder. And who put her up to killing XiHe? That last question might easily be linked to the larger political scheming and all the poisoning in the capital. 🤨

Prince Xie is losing it even more and now everyone thinks he has pretty much entered crazytown. But we do know how close to the truth he actually is. As it has always been proved — children, drunks and crazy people are the ones who tend to tell the truth and it's worth listening to them. (But ok, Prince Xie is not that far gone, but the scene was intense. Great acting from Jeremy Xu there.👏)Loved what XiHe and her guard did to Princess PingNing. That lady really is not learning anything from those punishments and just keeps asking for more. Her arrogance is next level annoying. 😩😤Oh, Cui JinBai... 🤭Carried the wasted ShuLin out of the tavern and then got flirted with by him(her). JinBai must be very confused about what's happening with that debauchee... And if he likes it, it will become a personality crisis for him, I believe. 🫣XiHe and HuaYong have entered some calmer, less mischievous stage in their relationship. It's a joy to watch her care for him and see them grow closer. 🥰 But who turned the Emperor's consort's cat against her? Was it XiHe with some incense? Or was it someone else? 🤨

Not him losing his six senses... 🥺 But I am kind of glad that XiHe found out about his condition almost right away and is willing to help cure it and find the poisoner in exchange for marriage to form an alliance. 😌However, I don't know if any of the versions she said about her intentions with the Crown Prince was actually true. Maybe all of them were partly lies and partly true? 🤷♀️ But either way, HuaYong is willing to accept that marriage, and even gave consent to be fed sweet lies. AND that actually felt sad. 🥺😢💔At least she agreed to tell him right away if she ever falls in love with him... fingers crossed it happens soon. Otherwise, that lovesick puppy will break my heart one day. I want to see a genuine, happy smile on his face and his eyes glowing with joy and affection, but we've gotten only those dreamy, delusional smirks and mischievous eyes so far (not that I am complaining, but still...). 😜😏🤞Cui JinBai's comment on Bu ShuLin caressing XiHe's face... hihihi.. 🤭😂 I want to see what lesson he's about to teach ShuLin! 😏BUT that noble lady... Someone please punish her so she remembers it! 😤 Considering I finished Love Like the Galaxy right before jumping into this one, I really have had my fair share of watching terrible young noble ladies recently... Please, spare me from that! 😩🙄ChangQing and ChangYing are losing their minds over XiHe — one thinks she's his dead wife, and the other has that huge one-sided love that consumes him slowly, and by the looks of it, maybe even turning that love into some form of obsession. 😬😳But the biggest twist in this episode? Definitely QingZhi's younger sister Gu QingShu being alive. I didn't even consider such a thing to be possible! AND not only is she alive, but she is hidden away by ChangQing and fancies him (again, one-sidedly ofc)? How crazy is that? 🤯Did she like him even when her sister was still alive? Maybe she had some part in whatever happened then? What was ChangQing's reason for saving her life? Just to ask questions about QingZhi? Too many questions popping up in my head...😵💫

This episode was amazing! Jiwon learned to use Judo techniques to take down the enemy! Great job, girl! 👏🥳 And them realizing they both have returned in time, because of BTS songs that aren't out yet in 2013? INSANELY CLEVER! Loved it! ❤️On top of my hype over the ending — it's good that Jihyuk fainted only because of the stress... I was really worried there.😮💨😌 And Sumin luring Minhwan onto her crazytown hook? About time that story moved a little further. I expect everything to get even better from now on. 😊🤗

Great backstory! They met years ago at university, except she was so drunk and her glasses broke so she couldn't remember how he looked... And he observed her all the time and befriended the stray kitty, who I bet is the same one in his house now! I loved that! 🤗🫣😏Minhwan and Sumin just get on my nerves, and it's very hard to tolerate the fact that Jiwon stays with him... But I guess she has to do that until Sumin steals him away, otherwise Sumin might lose interest and that wouldn't work well for her revenge. 😒These misunderstandings that happen just because of interpretations of situations and assumptions are some of the worst ones. Thankfully, they can easily be solved if people communicate with each other, which is what Jihyuk and Jiwon did, and it didn't last more than one episode.🤗🥰But what happened to Jihyuk? Is he sick? I am worried now. 🥺

Him making her yet another surprise with the lights, then saving her life and later even risking his own to find a cure for her. Their first hug, which was a very pleasant surprise shown through his memories. And her imagining him greeting her when he's been away for too long, proving to us she's missing him... All the wonderful signs of them growing closer. ☺️I just wonder why Noble Consort Rong wants her dead so much. And she mentioned that the 6th prince also might want Xihe's hand? Have we met him? I kind of can't recall us ever seeing him, or him ever being mentioned before. 🤔(edited: Ah, the 6th prince is prince ChangYu. The one who was eliminated first.) The 9th prince in that rain looked like a punished, loyal retriever waiting for his owner to finally let him in, which just never happened... 😔And I absolutely loved the Cui Jinbai and Bu Shulin scenes as always! 😂🥰

The 9th prince seems like an easy target to manipulate — he's quite naive. In the previous episode, his brother gave him that advice about using the military map and he couldn't tell how wrong it was. Now Huayong is exerting some influence on his decisions too with his manipulative sweet-talk. I'd like to see him become more autonomous, yet I'm not sure if that will be for the better or for the worse regarding possible villainy. 🤔Also, it hasn't really been stated yet if Huayong really achieved what he wanted with the 9th prince. Maybe he will decide to do the complete opposite. 😅And as always — Tian Yuan, love the character! 🤗

Xiao HuaYong is so clever at eliminating his competitors. He just knows how to give that little something and all the info reaches XiHe like falling dominoes. 🤭And I love how down bad he is for her and delusional about her intentions. The best part for me is Tian Yuan's remarks about the Crown Prince when it comes to XiHe. And he is no worse. Their banter on this matter always makes me smile! 😊But on a weirder note — do the 2nd Prince's affections for XiHe's sister mean he liked her already when she was still a girl? If so, then the man is creeeeeeepy. It's good that he's out of competition and, hopefully after XiHe's advice, also out of Shen YingRuo's life. 🫣One of the best treats for me was watching Bu ShuLin and Cui JinBai. Do I see a potential romance there? Definitely! This drama is really spoiling me with very interesting romance arcs! 🤗

What a wonderful ending! I see many people are upset that they didn't get to see a wedding, but I don't think that was needed here, to be fair. It was beautiful, fulfilling, and wholesome in many other ways. ✨BuYi, who had walked his path of revenge alone and had no family, finally has one. 🥹ShaoShang, who was always abandoned and felt unloved, is now surrounded by her family, who not only love her, but also came to her aid in the most unexpected moment. She will never be abandoned again. ❤️I absolutely loved that moment when he said he believes in her, and at the same time, she told the people around her that she knows he believes in her. That's the ultimate level of trust to have in someone. I got goosebumps there! ☺️The Cheng family is very united now; there are no quarrels between the family members and everyone supports everyone. And even Yuan Shen found his place among these people — respected by BuYi, cared for by ShaoShang, and able to keep loving her platonically for the rest of his life. All of them stood under the starry sky watching the stars, which look like diamonds up there. Also, the exact translation for the title is something like "Starry Sky Brilliant", so I think the ending represents that title perfectly. 😌❤️Starting this drama was quite an unexpected choice for me, but I enjoyed every minute of it. And I must say — it's a pity China has made this rule of a 40-episode limit, because this drama didn't really leave any plot holes, and the character development was very visible. This longer-length format really worked in the story's favour. 😌

I can't even imagine how A'Yao would feel if Yanji had succeeded in killing ZhaoJun. He would be devastated! Her so-called freeing him from shackles — such bs! She was probably out of the loop on how they had grown closer over these last five years while she was pretending to be dead and conspiring with Tian Shuo. 🙄Anyway, I am happy that all of them got out of that fire pit and both couples are fine. I was so worried about ZhaoJun all the time because she was in labour... OMG, my stress levels for her were so high! 😮💨🫣 AND SHAOSHANG FINALLY FORGAVE BUYI! 🎉❤️And I must say, the previous Crown Prince wouldn't be able to hold his ground as long and as bravely as the Third Prince did. That alone makes the Third Prince a way better heir to the throne. 😌👏Also, this does feel a little bit like a callback to what happened when they all were in this region those almost 40 episodes ago, because the events are somewhat similar. 🤨

I still believe that ShaoShang and BuYi will overcome their issues with each other and will end up together. However, even if it's bitter, they have peacefully kind of agreed to their future, yet on separate paths. 🥺💔I liked that ShaoShang's Grandmother and Mother have finally accepted her the way she is and cherish her now. Their relationship hasn't been easy, to put it lightly, which makes me understand why it's so hard for ShaoShang to accept that sudden love and care with her arms wide open. But it's never too late for forgiveness, and the mending of their family has finally begun. 🥹❤️But what the hell is happening in Hua County? Bandits with Lou and Yuan armour ambushing people, Lou Li luring ShaoShang to her home to assassinate her... How many people are involved? Are Lou Yao, his wife, and Yuan Shen also involved in some way? 😳But this danger in Hua County, I see it as a way to re-spark BuYi and ShaoShang's love, because those many episodes ago, when BuYi got ShaoShang's string, it happened in this region. History might repeat itself, bringing the two lovers together, maybe? 🤔🥺

Empress Xuan's dying scene and her last words to everyone just broke my heart. 😭💔Luo JiTong was so reckless... I can only hope that what BuYi and ShaoShang went through because of her will somehow bring them closer. 🥹 And I hope that after ShaoShang's parents' scolding, BuYi will think twice about whether his relationship with her is possible or not. 🥺 To me, his position looks more like giving up on them, rather than accepting how wrong he has been. Especially since he knows she loves him. 😒

I like how they showed us the transition to five years later. That section was done beautifully. 😌 But now after a few no-drama years, we are thrown right back in, starting with Empress Xuan falling ill and only a month or two remaining for her to live. As for a plot driver, of course she wants to see ShaoShang married before her death... well, there's no rush, then, right? 🥺As it turns out, the only person outside Changqiu Palace ShaoShang had met occasionally has been Yuan Shen, and after learning of the Empress's wish he actually offers marriage to her, saying he is willing to wait for the day when she finally forgets BuYi and sees him instead. And to my surprise, she actually agreed to that offer... Was it really only because the Empress wished for it? ShaoShang previously had said that she could live without a husband easily, so what other reason could there be for her to change her mind suddenly? Also, they never talked about what would happen if she never forgets BuYi. Would they just live together with that axe hanging over their marital knot? 🫣🤔And later, when the engaged couple met eye to eye with BuYi, the feelings were all there — the bitter love, unspoken words and lingering levels of yearning between ShaoShang and BuYi, and the glimpses of jealousy from Yuan Shen. Him telling BuYi never to try to interact with ShaoShang anymore just proved that. 😥And Luo JiTong? She's just following around BuYi, almost throwing herself at him and then expecting that he would have developed some feelings and want to marry her? Ahem... lady? Please? 😒🙄

Oh no, he's turned into an ak-gwi? Was it because of how much Yang energy he has lost? I know he was already low on it, but I wouldn't think it was this low already. 😨🫣Saeng-Gang entering the spirit world to save him made me like the girl even more. 🥹 She's not a passive bystander who can hear things and occasionally lend a hand. She's actually becoming the only one who can save Gu-Cheon. How will she be able to do it? 🤔The palace intrigues are just getting thicker, showing us new layers of how rotten the royal family is. There are deaths upon deaths, yet they look like they are living with a much clearer conscience than they should! 😒And our little guy Ggeomeoksali showed some skills! He's becoming part of the team. Love it! Just please don't drain any more of Gu-Cheon's Yang energy... 🙏🥺
