Few thoughts about So-Yong's soul

After this episode, I am having a few thoughts about So-Yong's soul. What if her soul has been in her body the whole time, only dormant? What if that moment when she tried to drown herself just pulled her and Bong-Hwan's souls together like a magnet? Because maybe she didn't really want to die, and it was like her last cry for help? And his soul was the only one that "heard" it in the end? 🤔I think in that little moment when the Queen woke up with the King by her side, it was the real So-Yong, not Bong-Hwan. And the reason she could actually get out of her dormant state, even if for that tiny moment, is what is causing the memories to come back? 🤔And could that be the link that pulled Bong-Hwan back into her body again, because the link is way too strong? Otherwise, I don't know why he would get pulled back now if he had already gotten away... I don't know, but everything that's happening is giving me many thoughts. 🤷‍♀️And I really loved to watch our King in that scene where he and the cousin had that argument in the Queen's room. ❤️😏

Souls

A lot happened in this episode, but all I want to talk about now is the cliffhanger. 😲Does that mean Bong-Hwan's body has been unconscious this whole time, and now regaining that consciousness is calling for his soul back? Where's the Queen's soul then? 🤔

What if...?

It looks like the King starts to look at his Queen romantically, but I am not sure if the hook is Bong-Hwan's personality and current choices, or learning that So-Yong wanted to commit suicide. I've seen dramas where a man who is swapped into a female body ends up enjoying life so much that he decides to stay. What if that is the case in this story too? 🤔I wonder if the engraving on that stone would still be seen in modern times? And if so, could the Queen in Bong-Hwan's body read it and realize where the real soul of that body is. Maybe she thinks that she's just reincarnated? Because if she's in modern times, for her to adapt to the situation could be much harder than it is for Bong-Hwan, no? 🤔

An amazing episode and more guesses

This episode was amazing! There was so much funny and serious, and even some blood...And I called it—Kim Hwan got discovered by his target, Hong Yeon! He really wasn't doing his job well, lol 😂. And now there's a love triangle... 🤭Actually, I am wondering why the King tells everything so freely to Hwajin. That trust actually makes me feel suspicious of her, but I don't even know of what, really. She doesn't even look or act suspicious, and it seems like she and the King really are very deeply in love. 🤷‍♀️Maybe Bong-Hwan transmigrated into the Queen's body to learn how to value other people, and the Queen maybe has her own experiences meanwhile in Bong-Hwan's body to learn how to value and love herself—to find her own identity, which she clearly had lost, remembering her talk with her cousin right before their kiss? 🤔

It's getting even more interesting

I love watching how the group slowly grows closer and starts to care for each other. I love the little sarcastic comedy and banter between the members. ❤️🤗😏The story itself is slowly picking up and I wonder how they will solve this case. Clearly, Zhu Yan is protecting the Water Demon in a way, even though all the evidence is against him. I think there's way more to the case than they have shown us. We shall see! 🤔I’m still loving the visuals, the atmosphere, the music—practically everything! ❤️

This is picking up nicely!

This episode showed us that there is so much more going on with the King. I'm not sure if I read it right, but it looked like he intentionally plays much dumber and easy to manipulate to hide his true night activities. 🤔The Queen flirting with all the ladies on her radar was quite fun to watch... and very, very unusual for that time, I believe. No wonder many women there felt alerted! 😂I am quite sure that the guy in the restroom definitely recognized the Queen! I wonder if he's friend or foe, but he looked quite shocked to see her there! And OMG, her walking into that secret meeting with the King and those other two guys... 😯😂😬The show is picking up nicely, giving us just enough bits to maintain interest, and I must say, I am enjoying it a lot so far! 😉👍

Laughing to tears!

This episode was so hilarious that it made me laugh to tears! The queen-to-be's actions and her desperate attempts to get back to modern times were such entertainment to watch. 😂At the moment, there’s not much to theorize about yet, but I do wonder if the man inside the queen's body will eventually accept being a woman and everything that comes with it—including intimacy with her husband. 🤨😏Also, I believe when her period comes, it’s going to be quite funny! In body-swap plots, men usually have a lot of trouble dealing with that. 😄

The up and downs of the timed quest

The most interesting character for me is definitely Zhu Yan. He clearly has secrets of his own—deals made off-screen or perhaps before our story even began. I wonder if his red aura signals something good or something extremely bad. Does it somehow link to the death of Wen Xiao’s master? 🤨🤔Poor little healer boy—he is so out of his comfort zone! Forced to smell foul things, see way too much violence, and even perform autopsies on dead bodies, while constantly getting jump-scared by his team members, especially Zhu Yan. Of course that gives us plenty of comedy, but I feel for the guy! 😂🫂And they have a timed quest, for god’s sake, or all of them will have to die. Pressure button pushed and now they must quickly solve the case whose investigation the other bureau has sabotaged even before they hired our team to do that... 😬😓I also loved seeing some recognizable faces among the guest roles; that’s always a highlight for me. 😉✨

The team is set!

The team is set, and they are so diverse! I already love them and believe this is going to be quite a ride. This drama is already giving so much—funny, tense, scary, and flirty moments wrapped in an engaging story with tricks coming from multiple parties... 🤗🤪🤭And I finally saw the sun! ☀️Also, I am quite intrigued with the backstory of Wen Xiao, her master, and Zhu Yan. 🤨😏

Compelling start

This drama has been on my radar for a while, though I hesitated because of an ending spoiler I once accidentally saw. But the itch was there, so I finally decided to check it out! 🤪 Of course, the main reason has always been Hou Minghao, especially since he isn’t playing his usual type of character here. Instead, he’s a morally grey, somewhat villainous demon—which is quite an easy sell for me! 😏My first impression of the show is strong. The gothic atmosphere is perfectly created with a palette of greyish colors, and the rainy weather just adds to that vibe. It feels as if everything is happening at dusk, whether outdoors or in a dungeon. The sun was mentioned, but I either missed the rays or they just weren't there—and since the Deceptive Demon brought it up, I might have just fallen under that deception spell! 😂The music is amazing, especially the track during the combat between Zhu Yan and the guy with the sword. The rest of the music was just as good, and I finally discovered the source of the song in the outro! It’s been on my playlist for some time, yet I didn't know where it came from until now, lol. 🤭As for the characters, Zhu Yan is very intriguing. At first, he seemed kind of wicked, but then he turned on that signature Hou Minghao charm and became funny, flirtatious, and playful. 🦊😏 Wen Xiao counters his banter perfectly, making their dynamic so enjoyable. This story just pulled me in after only one episode and has compelled me to keep watching! 😉

Tensions, twists and suspects

Could it be that the Queen Mother's spy poisoned that wedding drink for Huiju? That maid was so nervous and tense while the rest of the staff was watching the broadcast of the ceremony in the streets... 🤔Also, I hope PM Min won't do anything to our couple, but I think he might... 😔

The jersey!

In the epilogue Prince I-An was so cute! 🤗All he wanted to do in this episode was to wear that matching jersey with Huiju! No wonder he wouldn't let his aide wear it... Huiju got it for him, so it's his! Even if it's only for the bedroom. 😂

A little comedy and a dose of goosebumps

Her pursue for the Prince was such a laugh for me. She is really persistent, lol! 😂But the final part of the episode literally gave me goosebumps! When he said: "Prepare yourself to become the Grand Prince's wife. You will be up against... the whole nation." And the music intensified... ugh, so good. Now I can’t wait for the next episode!

Loved the female lead already!

I loved how cunning, bold, and confident our lead is. She doesn’t take 'no' for an answer and is determined to cut her way through and upward. That’s exactly what she did with her choice to chase the Grand Prince as her husband—proposing to him herself was the boldest and most ambitious move she could have chosen. And she will probably succeed, because the Prince has been intrigued by her ever since that night in the archery field at school years ago.I believe this will be a very interesting watch!

Little moments

Oh, I love how they are developing the relationship between Gu Sheng (Sheng Sheng Man) and Mo Qing Cheng (Qiang Qing Ci). Online, he is constantly reaching out to her with smaller and bigger things, maybe even challenging her for different things, like that singing, for example. He clearly sees a lot of talent in her! 🥰Meanwhile, all those little moments when they actually see each other around that shop are so sweet. She has noticed him and marked him as a decent man and a protector of women. 🤗I really enjoy this show. I know it's only two episodes in, but it just draws you in. And the supporting cast—all the gossipers around our leads! The 'always-single' male lead is showing interest in someone and all of his friends are suddenly wingmen. QQC is showing interest in SSM and all her friends are cheering behind her. What a company of people! 🙂
