He survived the battle, but lost his memories, yet he had that feeling to go to the Northern border and fulfill some promise he couldn't quite remember. 🥺She went to the battlefield, but couldn't find him and drew her own conclusion as to why he might still be alive. She kept her title as the Heir's Consort, even if the rest of the world thought her husband was dead... What a wonderful and loving wife! 🤧She traveled around yet never was alone because she held her husband in her heart, while he healed after his grave injuries caused by the weapon she created, and hiding behind the mask. They held onto each other on their own ways — she to her memories, he to his unexplainable feelings — and found each other once again. 🤗🥹Love that even death and destruction couldn't kill, and like a magnet led them back together! Wonderful ending to a wonderful story! ❤️🥰P.S. I expected to see some action with the cane and combat with blind WuYi, but apparently his training and her gift wasn't meant to be used after all. 😅

And there it was — Mao and his father's two-year masterplan to convict WuYi as a traitor. 😒😤But no matter how hard they try, WuYi has such a capable team of people who would do anything to clear his name and free him. AND they are working non-stop. And even if they seem to be always a moment too late to get some evidence, they still have enough to blackmail Mao and GT Xie into releasing WuYi, Xiao Ju and Xiao Yao. 😌🫣I absolutely loved how JiaYu let Mao know of her loyalty and support for WuYi — firstly by making him give her the decree and seal of her investiture as Prince Jian'an Heir's consort, even if her husband had already been taken to prison on charges of treason, and secondly by rejecting him when she showed him the proof of his true lineage... That's the wife JiaYu is! 👏❤️And the scholar guy being the one who helped frame the Xiao family definitely will be reason enough for YuanJi not to want any romance with him anymore. I hope Yao's time comes soon. 🤞P.S. The scene where WuYi thought that JiaYu might kiss him... 🤭 Yeah, buddy, not gonna happen in this drama. Forehead kisses, embraces, and holding hands are all you're getting. 👆

I didn't expect the time skip. 😯 But then, thinking about it a little, maybe this two-year skip did make some sense, because before that, everyone reached a conclusion of sorts.LeJun went to Northern Qin and met the Eagle King, who took her in with arms wide open—or, more precisely, brought her to his place, carrying her over his shoulder. I wonder how they are doing now, because since the time skip, they haven't been shown yet. 🤨JiaYu travelled around looking for minerals and mines, and even got Cui Shan'An as her apprentice or assistant (I wasn't sure which exactly), but he looked at her weirdly, so—does he fancy her? 🤨 However, she rushed back to Jiankang because of some corrupt officials. It turned out WuYi was already on the case and was actually pretending to be the bribe-taker.... Well, that went smoothly, didn't it? 😂 But they are both still acting as if they hadn't been separated for two years. Actually, their relationship seems even closer and more wholesome than before. Except for the fact that WuYi hasn't told her yet that he has only a few years left to live.... and before the skip he rejected the treatment Rui Sheng offered. This is one thing I am worried about a little—what if this is bringing us slowly to a sad ending? 😟Regent Prince Qi is now beloved among the people and seemingly has no ill intentions towards JiaYu and WuYi, even preparing gifts for her on being promoted to WuYi's official consort. But I do wonder what he is doing behind the scenes, because I remember how he and WuYi parted ways in the previous episode, and it wasn't that nice or friendly at all. 🤔 And the fact that he has taken that dancer who looks like JiaYu when she smiles as his concubine... red flag, much? 🫣Over these two years, YuanJi has stabilised the situation with the He family and now wants to travel, likely with that lover of hers. But I still root for Yao to win her heart and for her to stay at Prince Jing'an's mansion. I really hope something changes her mind or she eventually understands that maybe she sees him as more than just a big brother. 😔🤞Overall, this felt like a bridge episode.

Wow, this episode... 😮🤩The Empress Dowager hoped to have a night that would turn the tide in her favour, but instead, she fell hard... 👏Prince Qi was revealed as the main mastermind behind whatever happened in the previous episodes, all just to get the ultimate power and the Nine Imperial Seals, which allow him to make decisions without asking the Emperor... To be fair, I am getting scared of him now! 😨The Emperor giving the Tokens to WuYi before Prince Qi got the chance to snatch them was the only relief to me after learning how cold and vile Mao has become. 😌😮💨 And my predictions were right — Mao not only suspected, but actually is certain that WuYi is Crown Prince WenXi. I bet he's going to work hard now to plot against WuYi, as he's his ultimate rival for the woman he desires and for the power he now holds. 😬JiaYu gave LeJun a test of fate for her mother's death — whether she survives her arrow and goes to Northern Qin to marry the Eagle King and become the spy of Ye, or she dies there on the spot... Fate chose the first option, which I think was the better outcome. 🫣The plot is definitely picking up immensely and everything that happened in this episode is turning the page of the whole story! I can't wait for the rest of the episodes, because I expect them to be thrilling and epic! 🤗😏❤️

Oh, what a wonderful love confession from her and his reaction just gave me all the feels! ❤️"... If we are merely travelling the same road, when our paths diverge, we must part ways. Xiao WuYi, I don't just want to walk the same path with you. I want to walk it to the very end with you." — Xie JiaYu ."YaoYao, since you've made your promise, no matter who tries to take you away in the future, I will never let you go again." — Xiao WuYi.Well, that's what I call a promise of a lifetime! 🤗🥰

When she saw those pictures of other ladies stashed away among Wuyi's stuff, she tampered with them and ran off to cry quietly somewhere alone... and when Wuyi asked about it, she just said she was condemning him for his future darling... Jiayu, can I sense some jealousy? 😏On the other hand, the fact that Mao checking out potential concubines didn't trigger the same reaction from her also says a lot... Even she herself said she's not really feeling sadness about it... 🤨 I want Jiayu and Mao to meet up sooner so they can talk about their future plans together, and she can come to the conclusion that their relationship is actually doomed. 😒Mao saying out loud that he wants to become a villain so he won't be anyone's pawn... yeah, right... but will he actually avoid that? I think he is and will remain Grand Tutor Xie's pawn, even if he lets Mao think otherwise. 😔I am sad that Mao has decided to go down that path, but he's surrounded by enemies and people who pressure him heavily. If he wants to survive and protect his sister, choosing that path might be the quickest way. I just hope he won't go too far down it and will keep at least one road open for redemption later. 😟And maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but I suspect that the Eagle King might actually like Li Lejun. He looked at her quite genuinely, and maybe even looked a little bit excited when she walked down the aisle (if that's what you call it in an imperial palace!). To be fair, from the very first time they met, I thought he was intrigued by her, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt this time and stick with this opinion for now. 🤔🫣And I am not even sure what to think of Master Engineer and the Empress Dowager of Northern Qin. 🫣

Oh, what an episode! It was the best one so far, I think! 🤩The way she helped him navigate the arena with the drums, the moves he did while blindfolded, and then that genuine hug of joy after his victory! 🥰🫂 And they actually prepared for such a situation... they trained for this. Oh, what a team they make! 🤗 And now he has a keepsake — her red ribbon... 🤭But I saw Li Mao's face there, and the Grand Tutor's too. Mao is getting jealous, and he notices she's warming up to Wuyi and slipping away from him. I noticed how much she just talks about how "Wuyi did this" and "Wuyi did that," and how she fought or trained there and learned that — all of it making Mao very noticeably frustrated. I will just repeat myself and say I hope he won't turn against Wuyi, but I think it eventually might happen. 😟And the Grand Tutor just smirked at Mao's reaction to Wuyi and Jiayu's hug. He noticed that, and that's exactly what he wants — to turn both friends against each other and get rid of Wuyi... 😒 Also, just a random question — could the Grand Tutor know that Wuyi is actually Crown Prince Wenxi, the true heir of the realm? 🤔

Wow, this episode turned everything upside down! 😳The big schemer of sorts was actually Grand Tutor Xie, who wanted to get his illegitimate son, Li Mao, instated as regent. 😲Poor Jiayu — what will she do when she finds out that her big love is actually her half-brother? That just means their marriage was never meant to happen, because China's censorship would never allow such a thing. 🤨And now Wuyi and Jiayu have to stay married for Li Mao's sake... well, what a convenient inconvenience! 😏And now the arranged marriage with the enemies-to-lovers trope will finally start... I am clapping my hands with excitement! Their chemistry is amazing and I just want to see more! 🥰🤗

I like that our FL is quite crafty and mischievous. Just what's needed for such a ruthless general, who lives just for his mission, right? 😈🤭 I am really looking forward for their arranged marriage and to see how they will drive each other crazy, because they are such opposites! 😏And I did love seeing a few recognisable faces among the cast — Peter Ho (from Unchained Love) and Liu Lingzi (from Archives: The Nanyang Mystery). And of course, above all, Hou Minghao, who is the main reason I am watching this! 🥰It also looks like Hou Minghao has taken part in all the OST songs. At least, that's what it sounded like to my ear! 😊

Cui Xuan was finally exposed and I am grateful for that, but, oh boy, they all were like a horde of starving beasts trying to snatch their piece of the Divine Tree's powers... That was very stressful to watch! 🫣I just kept chanting — Yacha, come! Where are you? Yacha, Yacha.... and then he did come! And for a moment it was ok, and we were winning, but that stupid soul-twisting (or whatever its name is) mark that puts him into berserk mode just took over. 🥺I believe he'll snap out of it thanks to Lifei and maybe his master's sacrifice..... but when he does, I believe Rakshasa will meet his wrath for meddling with his sanity! 😠

I actually wonder if the poisoning was meant for the Emperor and he just gave those cherries to Huayong out of fatherly affection? And now he's full of guilt about that, so all the things he does — like not naming his other sons "Hua", keeping Huayong as the Crown Prince, and calling him his most beloved son — are just to relieve his heart of that guilt? 🤔🤷♀️At the meeting with the princes, I had a feeling that the 5th prince either recognised some similarities between Shen Xihe and his late wife, or maybe his attention was caught by her philosophy on whether one should care about other people's words and thoughts, because that would imprison oneself? 🤨 I think Xihe being so similar to his wife will be what makes him fall in love, or at least feel interested in her. However, we didn't see the 2nd prince at the meeting. I know they said he had a wife who died, too. So, was the reason he didn't come because he's just not interested in marrying another woman? 🤷♀️I do love how Huayong acts so frail and innocent in front of everyone, but in truth, with the help of Tian Yuan, he just deceives the whole world! And the way he admires and praises pretty much anything Xihe does — whether good or merciless... the shock on Tian Yuan's face is always so priceless. He just can't with his boss, lol! 😩😂As for the last two, it's pretty clear now. The 4th prince's intentions were perfectly described by Huayong, so he's the one I would trust the least atm, and the 9th prince has just completely fallen for her. 😏💘

Oooh, I absolutely loved this episode! It gave us infiltration, a jailbreak, a rescue mission, running, hiding, and deceiving all the masters, sect members, and more... 😍And the reveals? Some of them were quite mind-blowing, like Lu Li being half-monster (something bird-like, I suppose), Riyan appearing in human form to aid the rescue mission, and his old master, who was none other than the guy they sold Xiuyuan to all those episodes ago, showing up too! 🫢🤯The competition between Xiuyuan and Tongzhou yet again proved how "good guys" are restrained by their filial piety to their masters, while "bad guys" don't answer to anyone and just do what they like, pursue who they want, etc... 🤭😏And Riyan's conversation with Xiuyuan, all protective, like a big brother... Perfect! 😌🤌

Some of the stories were wrapped up beautifully, while some were left untold. I was scared for a moment that Feibai would stay alone and blind, but no... Yusheng stayed with him, and I am so grateful to her for that. 🥹❤️Ye Ying stayed in Mo Jingli’s mother’s hometown, if I noticed it correctly… I had more expectations for her character arc, but we don't always receive everything we wish for. 😒Mingxi finding his way back to the shops and working there — the life he dreamed about — really made me feel happy. 😌✨ Even if his role wasn’t THAT significant in the end, I really loved his character. That scene where the Empress Dowager died and the music just grew louder in the background until turning into the chanting, with the camera moving through the Lishan Academy rooms while the children were counting the teachings of wisdom, sincerity, and other things... It almost felt like Lishan Academy could finally breathe again once the Empress Dowager was dead. Really masterful scene. I got goosebumps there. 🤩😌 She deserved the punishment she got, and actually even more for all she did. But they can’t kill her twice, right? 🤔Lishan Academy opening up, and then Ye Li moving to the room with all the dead scholars and her grandfather… oh, that scene reduced me to tears. 😭💔 At least she’s at peace now with them being gone, and she is ready to leave the past behind and follow the path ahead, just as her grandfather advised. 🙏✨A wonderful ending for a wonderful drama. Everything seemed kind of well-wrapped, yet I can’t forgive one thing, and that’s Princess Lingyun’s death. 😢💔 I don‘t think I can ever forgive the plot for that.

I knew from the very beginning that this guy is just using Xiuyuan to get the fox spirit. And now, revealing his true intentions, he just proved I was correct. But that fight hurt. His betrayal mirrored in her eyes painfully, and his realisation of how he had let himself be manipulated mirrored in his. That's a proper cliffhanger now, and I can't wait for tomorrow to see how they get out of this! 🫣😨Also, what's going on with Ye Ye, Gelin, and Changyue? Is it like a love triangle or something? Him being in love with Changyue and Changyue possibly with him too, but Gelin also loving him? And Changyue just can't do that to Gelin, so she rejects the guy? 🤨P.S. The biting each other must be their kink. 😏🤭

She saw his willy!... 🤭 At least there was something ridiculous in this episode filled with stuff I don't really care about anymore. And as for the stuff I don't care about:Jun kind of moving closer to Deng Yu... again. 🙄 Ruohai upsetting his girlfriend... again. 🤦♀️ The girlfriend lashing out at Fei by causing her work trouble... again. 😤😟 It feels like circling non-stop through the same events, just with different weather.Fei's chat with Ruohai's mother was kind of sweet. 🤗 She really is a nice girl who genuinely respects and cares about people, which once again proved to Ruohai what a bad and rash decision it was on his part to break off their engagement and relationship. ☝️ And thanks to Yifei for dealing with the guy who didn't want to pay for the translation! 👊🔥
