Quite heartbreaking to watch how Hailou carried Haixia's body all over the city from one place to another, only to learn that everything he knew might never have even been real. 😢 And then to learn it actually was, but his recklessness forced the Southern Archives to disappear entirely, and Haixia once again took the responsibility for his actions... even leading to his death now. 🥺💔I hope Miss Dong reveals she is Haiqi, but I'm not sure if she can trust Hailou enough yet, since he might expose their secrets once again. 🤨 And for goodness' sake, how long has Haixia been dead? Has it been a week already? It was definitely multiple days on the ship... Shouldn't the body have a noticeable smell by now? 🫣

This episode was devastating. Hailou grieved and I grieved along with him. I can't accept that a main cast member is being killed off this early in the show, so they had better have some secret way to revive Haixia. Otherwise, what's the plan? To keep him as a memory, or maybe as a subconscious chat partner for Hailou for the rest of the series? 😭💔

The story of the imperial decree and Ye Li's mother is way more twisted than I imagined. And who is the body in the pond? The maid who was accidentally killed during the struggle for the decree, or Ye Li's mother? 🫣🤔Prince Li looked like Zorro there, all in black and masked, lol. 😂 I don't think Prince Ding's men will catch him just yet. We'll have to wait a while for that to happen. 😔Loved how A'Li said all the right things to her sister. 👏 I really hope she'll start to reconsider her choices regarding her husband very soon. I am still anticipating the start of her self-growth arc. 🥺P.S. Why do I get the feeling Prince Li will use A'Li's handkerchief to stir up some trouble later? 🤨😔

Him telling her his nickname is A'Yao and allowing her to call him that was so sweet! 🤗 The look and the tears in his eyes when A'Li said she wants to help him stand up and live his life happily—she makes him so happy already by that thought alone and warms his heart immensely! 🥰 And I do love that they always zoom the camera in to show us two pairs of shoes when she's with him. Is that a way to prove to us that it's real, and not her imagination playing tricks again? 🤭And that's why he got so angry when Feng presented him with evidence that she had hired the bandits herself. And he's right to be—are there really any liars who tell only one lie? We know everything she says is a half-truth mixed with her imagination, but he doesn't, nor does he know the reason for it. That fact alone hurt him, and even more so because he is already living with the consequences of misplaced trust from his past. 🥺 I bet he will question her past activities on the mountain even more now—her martial arts skills, her weiqi skills, the amount of chores. Her answers already felt a bit suspicious to him. 🤨But it is interesting info that her mother and father were involved with the decree, which was the one piece missing to prove Mo Xiuwen's return wasn't treason. I wonder if it is destroyed or just hidden somewhere? If it's the latter, then A'Li can help find it to prove Prince Ding's innocence and clear his name. 🧐☝️And what is with the rivalry for favouritism in Marquis Muyang's house? Is his son jealous of the guard, or does the guard just know the son is spoiled? I couldn't read which of the two guys could be considered "good" and is worth my support, if any. The one who declined the fish, or the other? 🤔

All I want is for them to have a happy ending in modern times. I want them to retain the personalities they have had throughout the drama and stay in a place where I truly cared for them. That's all I ask. 🥺🙏

Hailou's ability to create chaos from scratch is unparalleled. 😂 And I quite enjoy his duo with the "Cousin".But what was that final scene? Another hallucination caused by the poison, or actual Haixia's body? I can't trust what the Zhang brothers see anymore when they're poisoned, especially when one of the dead bodies for the third time is Ruipu's. 😯🫣I want to think that Haiqi has an actual plan for why she's not revealing herself to Hailou, and that it's not because she doesn't trust him. 🤨 Also, I wonder if the jade-stealing incident was something we witnessed from their childhood memory—the "Apple Theory", where the goal was to steal something from right under someone's nose without raising any suspicion. That's pretty much what happened with that jade, however, I am not sure if Hailou stole it or Haiqi herself. ☝️🧐🤔P.S. I could wish "rest in peace" to Steven, but I am not sure if he won't suddenly appear in upcoming episodes, alive and walking. It seems like death is just for visuals in this drama. 😏

We started off so well with Hailou and the "Cousin" returning to Nan'an... Their dynamic on the investigation cases was quite funny, and "Cousin's" sharp nose could fill the missing bit of Shrimpie's sense of smell. 😏😂When their investigation led to the third class, and we had seen Haixia in there just a few minutes prior, I was so looking forward to a reunion... 😍 Encountering that scene made me so excited! But then the last 10-ish minutes started and OMG, I can't even explain how I feel now... 😭💔Haixia never actually met Hailou, yet he sensed his presence there and put two and two together to realise the guy marching through the level with a dead body was actually Hailou's friend. ☝️ Haixia tried to reach Hailou, fought, and then hid, but his fresh injury exposed his hiding place and he was... what... KILLED?! 😱🤯 He cannot be dead... right? There will be something that saved him and Haixia will be alive and well... He must be! 😭🙏

Once again, I absolutely loved Chu Tang! 🤩 She did incredibly well defeating that arrogant scholar in both the weiqi game and the calligraphy contest. Who says women cannot be as good as men—or even better? 😂👏Deng Yi, Xiao Xun, and even Yanfang are now being heavily pressured by Chu Zhao. 😏 Deng Yi feels the most threatened and suspects he might be the first one to fall, so he chose a bold move to target Yanlai, calling for his execution for disobeying imperial orders. 😟 However, Yanlai is smart enough to buy time for his investigation by asking for a six-month countdown to bring back the Northern Desert King's head. At least now he has a solid reason to stay in the North and investigate. ☝️🧐The tension is real, and all the fragile, double-faced alliances are barely holding together now. 😬

The explanation for why previous episode felt so trippy made so much sense! So, it was all due to the poison of the Twilight Grass. Luckily, Haixia had some antibodies from three years ago, so he didn't die, but instead just hallucinated a lot. 😌😮💨 Ding Yuxi's acting throughout that entire sequence—how he talked with an imaginary Hailou, with himself, with the wooden pillar, and how he dealt with that guy—was amazing. He looked like a complete madman and I absolutely savoured it! 🤩👏It's wonderful to watch how a man in a wheelchair can be so much more capable than any other perfectly healthy man. That says a lot about Haixia's character and his skills. 😏Hailou just kept being his usual funny self. He came up with yet another insane plan by making people think they were sick just to find the culprit. Even though that was unsuccessful, at the last second he realised it was the doctor. He was then forced to flee Nan'an by jumping into the sea, eventually entering the other ship via the shitting hole and wreaking a little chaos there! 😂And again... I really do hope the brothers meet soon. 🙏

I don't think the Evil God is dead. They blew him up the first time and he survived, so I doubt this time will be any different. I suspect that to actually kill the God, they need to destroy all the mini-statues first, though I'm not entirely sure how. They seem to be so lively and practically invincible. Plus, there is more than one to deal with! 🤨My biggest joy, of course, was seeing them finally end up on the same ship. I'm hoping for a proper reunion next episode, perhaps? 🤗🥹 However, Haixia could also strategically choose to act from the shadows. ☝️ And Hailou and Steven are such an entertaining duo! I can't stop laughing at how Steven just completely goes along with all of Hailou's insane plans. 😂Haixia's hunt while tracking the smell of cured meat was so trippy. 😵💫 Especially that scene in the storage room when the Evil God's mini-statue played those mind tricks on him, dragging up all the worst possible thoughts he could have about himself regarding his disability. Poor Haixia! 🥺😟P.S. But Miss Dong got me all confused. She's Haiqi in disguise, correct? Or did I miss something before...? 😕

I wonder how they were able to hide that huge, cave-like construction in the lower parts of the ship. Mystery indeed! 🤨Fast Gun was not as useful a partner as Haixia would be, but he was hilarious for sure. 😂 I loved how Hailou was always half-hiding behind Fast Gun's back (I forgot the guy's name!), almost looking like he was ready to use him as a human shield if the situation called for it. 😏I particularly loved that they didn't forget about Haixia in this episode. I missed his presence on the screen, but at least they gave us his voice reminding Hailou to quit smoking, and adding that self-asked question, "What would Shrimpie do?" when Hailou had a dilemma. That was nice! 🤗 Overall, a quite funny episode. 😂

I can really understand Xiuyao's anger. He worries about her so much, and she keeps disappearing and doing God knows what while she's gone... 🥺 But now she's about to tell Xiuyao what happened between her and Prince Li. And did I get that right—he's responsible for everyone being killed eight years ago? I hope her story reveals that too. 😟😯I bet that master who "saved" her is also actually dead, and in truth, the one who saved her was herself... like it has been all those years. Oh, poor A'Li! Her head is even more messed up than I imagined. 🥺😟 I wonder what Captain Li thinks about her story.I did like that Ye Ying picked up the injured Mingxi. For a moment I thought she wouldn't... and their little conversation was as entertaining as I expected it to be. 😏😌 And the physician thinking it was Ye Ying who beat him up, lol? Did he think it was a lovers' quarrel or what? 😂 Her tantrum at Prince Li's party was totally justified. To humiliate one's wife like that? She's right—he could have just rejected the bride if he didn't want to marry her! Oh, how I hate Mo Jingli! 😤😠And Ye Ying is not Ye Li's father's daughter? To me, it looked like that guy who approached Ying's mother might have been her lover or something, and possibly Ying's father? 😯 I am so looking forward to Ying's character arc—her life has been built on lies, and she doesn't seem evil—so will it be a beautiful self-discovery arc or something else? 🤔

They had me for a moment thinking that Haijiao was an infiltrator all along, but no... she's dead? 😦Zhang Ruipu, who I low-key hoped might become their temporary source of income, is now gone. I didn't expect that to happen so soon, to be fair. 😕The brothers are separated, but Hailou at least is with the disguised Haiqi on the ship, investigating. But Haixia? He's alone and in a wheelchair... the only relief is that he's safe for the time being. 😟🥹 But oh boy, what a badass he is! His sharp mind and precise calculations helped him escape from 10+ assassins? Wow! 👏

Oh, what an amazing episode! I think this was the most action we've gotten so far... right? 🤩⚔️🤨The bed scene was so adorable—him warming her hands and her snuggling up to him, leaving him all blushing and flustered. 🥰😳 And the mother's grave scene was so beautiful—him paying his respects and her introducing her mother to her good husband. Aww... 🤗🥹 Their relationship is so wholesome, caring and heartwarming. 💖However, the sweetness had to end at some point and all the drama elements kicked in, right? 😤 And that takes us to their journey home, where everything just got so extra interesting! 🔥We got bandits—who I don't even know why were there—ambushing the carriage... Could they have been hired by Prince Li to help him "rescue" Ye Li and take her away from Prince Ding? 🤔🤷♀️Then we had a lot of running and fighting, leading up to the point where Ye Li met Han Mingxi.... and apparently they've met before? And she even saved his life? 😲 Oh, he'll be our ally for sure, I think. He appeared grateful to her for helping him back then. Mingxi's family was exiled, but only he and his brother survived the journey? And now he's run away from his brother? Their family were the Crown Prince's supporters? Everything links to the fact that he might be someone of importance... I want to learn more of his backstory! 🧐And again there's Prince Li... Jealous of Prince Ding, and he seems cruel in his hidden actions and quite obsessed with Ye Li. 🤬 I bet he even enjoys her being blind so that he can lurk around her... Gaaaah, I want that man gone! I hope Ye Li gets away from him soon, possibly reuniting with Han Mingxi and escaping together? Maybe? 🙏🥺

So many people keep advising Zhao to choose Yanfang as her ally over Yanlai. 🙄 I guess she could humour that thought for the sake of her schemes... Only, if she chooses to play Yanfang, I want her to talk that strategy over with A'Jiu too, so he doesn't get hurt in the process. 😟I am clinging very much to the words Xiao Xun's father said—that Yanlai would be the one who breaks the stalemate. And that's what I am looking forward to! We know where Yanlai's loyalty lies, and I presume it won't change. ☝️🤨Also... the plot twist! Yanfang has Xiang somewhere? For what reasons? What's the importance of the boy? 😯🤔
