Twists and turns in this episode, but at least they are not getting a divorce! 😮💨Huiju's brother did an amazing job with the press conference! 👏It seems like PM Min is embracing the antagonist role completely now, but I don't understand if his goal is just to get Huiju for himself (which never will happen, might I add), or just get rid of Ian out of jealousy—or maybe other reasons... 🤷♀️ I really hope Ian wasn't inside that burning building after all. 🙏As for the Queen Mother, I hope she sees now that she cannot continue the way she has and she needs to change—if not for herself, then at least for her son. The poor boy is suffering and living in constant stress and emotional misery. He needs to be protected not as a king, but as a child. 🥺🫂And a joy for my eyes was the beautiful and passionate scene of our leads. 🤗❤

This episode was quite an emotional roller-coaster! 😮Firstly, we had all the drama and fear for the lives of our main couple. It was very, very emotional, especially from Prince Ian's side. And the twist that the target was actually the Prince? No wonder all our villains were confused about what the hell happened! I am pretty sure the Queen or her father is behind this. 🤔🤨Secondly, I am very curious what that maid said to PM Min! 🧐 I somehow expected that to maybe be in the Epilogue, but we got some rom-com lovey-dovey moments instead. Not that I'm complaining, though! 🤭💕And thirdly, I want to know who found the contract and how they organized the leaking. I already have some suspects, and one of them is actually PM Min. 🤨 But atm there's too many possibilities, so the truth there is quite unpredictable. 🤷♀️

This episode was golden! 🤗🥰I loved Lumi, as always! She got a gang of motorbikers with bats to demolish the real estate agency that offended Zhitao — a best friend indeed, almost feels like she's become her ride-or-die!🤗Nian was like a completely different person. He admitted his mistakes, and they reconciled. He promised her to give more praise and encouragement. And him calling her his girlfriend completely melted her heart... Yes, I noticed that. 🙂↕️❤️ And now they'll live together for a few days. Awww, the look on Nian's face when he saw the dog... That man would agree to anything if Zhitao asks him. I just want to know what he will say when he learns the dog's name is Luke. 🤭I am so sad about what's happening with Yuanzhu, yet I am glad the one who accidentally heard of his family's problems was Sun Yu, not Zhitao. I want those two to grow closer. 🥺

Their miscommunication just keeps making things worse. Now she thinks he has another romantic relationship behind her back, and he's just frustrated by her avoiding him. 😟I kind of understand both sides, because they both want something from this "relationship" they are really not receiving, but that could be easily solved if they openly talked things through, instead of throwing hurtful lines at each other and blaming each other for this and that... 😒And considering Nian is someone who has dated many women, it really does make me wonder if those girls were only after his looks and money, not caring much about the terrible personality they got as a bonus. 🤔

I think he would be okay if everyone found out he was dating her and that she was his. At least their conversations give me that impression. She's the one who wants to hide it, to keep it a secret, and he lets her, because that's what she wishes. 😏I didn't see anything wrong with him punishing her as her boss. And even then, I don't think there was no favouritism whatsoever, because instead of a year with no promotions and no bonuses, she got half a year with no promotions and bonuses cut only by half, which is a softer punishment than what anyone else would get. 🤔I respect her choice to take full responsibility for the mistake. However, judging by the look on the designer's face, she realises she had a part in it too and what the circumstances were that caused this error. I wonder if she will tell anyone about that, because I doubt Zhitao will. 🥺But that's what happens when people work overtime and late into the night, not caring about how much it withdraws them. They start to lack focus, eventually other health issues may appear, and stress can also cause changes in behaviour, like making people irritated by minor things, easily losing their temper, or falling into depression (been there, done that, so I can only be happy it's not happening to Zhitao... yet). 🫣Him watching her from a distance as she gets onto the bus... I think that was a quiet way of comforting her, even though she didn't know it. 🥺Not everyone is good with warm words and emotional support, and he might be one of those people. And this makes me keep thinking of that line he wrote on the typewriter and that's written at the end of the intro: "You don't have to be perfect to be worthy of love"—I think it's more like him telling himself those words. Maybe that's his inferiority complex, that he feels like he might be unworthy of love because of how imperfect and flawed he is, and his whole persona everyone sees is his shield to mask it. 🤔

am in awe of Zhitao! Give her any task, even the most complicated one, and she won't stop until she has found a solution. Good job on organizing the basketball game without spending a single coin! 👏So, them hiding their relationship is more because of her fear of losing her job by going against Lime's "no office dating" rule. In episode 1, I thought it would be something he pressured her into, so this is a relieving turn. 😮💨😌But it will be hard to maintain that secrecy when everyone from all sides is trying to either constantly ask about their private lives or try to find dates for them... And Yuanzhu is also in the mix, clearly fancying TaoTao. 😟My guess now is that someone at work will discover it and expose them (I already suspect either Annie, Kitty, or Alex), and then Zhitao will have to leave Lime. I am already picturing all the possible drama that might happen when they get to that point. 🤔🥺Their phone conversation was actually very sweet... Her reassuring him that she wants to hold onto him... 🥰

I think that girl who's going to Hong Kong is someone Zhitao went to university with — might be a classmate, or maybe she's the senior Zhitao mentioned. At least their conversation gave the impression they've studied together. 🫣I dislike Alex even more now. His comments on things and those little smirks here and there make me feel uneasy. Also, Annie might have some issues with Zhitao and hold a grudge against Luke. She and Alex could easily cause some trouble for our leads. 😬😟Loved Nian's friend. He sees right through him! 😂 And I can only hope that in the future Nian takes his advice as it is given, not through his own prism and interpretations. 🙄And, lol, I guess Nian's mom is so confused about her son — one minute it's a "yes", then five minutes later it's a "no"... Jealousy can make people act unreasonably. 🤭

I don't like Alex's team, but especially Alex himself. I find him quite slimy and someone who wouldn't hesitate to use others for his own gain. Annie also could have said up front that she needed that report by the end of the workday, not just "today". And now they are using her to get files from Luke, just because they get along well, while at the same time they have this condition not to be friendly with anyone from other teams... a bit hypocritical imo. 😒And again, I saw how Yuanzhu looked at TaoTao at the dinner table... It was nothing like a look a friend would give to another friend. 🫣

This episode was so sad.... 😭💔 And Zhao Ling vomiting after executing General Mo — the lengths he has to go to and the things he must do to remain in the Emperor's favour... 😟 I really want them to get out of the political game and return to Ganlin Town... But even that would not be the same anymore with the Northwest feeling betrayed by Zhao Ling and Tingyun.His heart is with his roots and he's struggling so much to remain loyal to the Emperor, but I want him to talk about that with Tingyun — he's trying to shoulder most of those burdens alone, and that really isn't doing anyone any favours. 😔

Why do I have a feeling that Yake won't be as discreet with the poetry event as Madam Yu asked her to be? If she continues the way she's going, then the mistakes caused by her low self-esteem and envy of Tingyun will be her ruin. 😒Oh, that moment when Ling was revealed as Jiuweijiao and cut the token in half so the only recognisable form of his identity would be his face!? AMAZING! 👏 I saw that proud look on Tingyun's face there when she witnessed Ling's glorious moment... 😊And they both have actually started to feel something — I saw the shy looks, the little awkwardness when they touched... Lovely! 🤗🥰 And now everyone thinks she has eloped with him, so they are bound to stay together... no other way, really. 🤭And after all the interference and troubles, they still succeeded with their mission to get the permit from Madam Yan, and even managed to get a written confession from Zuo Junjie to clear Tingyun's name. 😌 And does that mean Moxiang was killed or ordered to be killed by Madam Zuo? I somehow didn't suspect her at all... 🫣

A tough time for Tingyun. She had to learn a completely different lifestyle, and luckily by the second half of the episode she already managed to pick up a thing or two from Ling. And how could she not? Ling was injured because of her, Sen ran to another city to look for medicine... At least they found shelter in that temple, and coincidentally enough, it was occupied by the real Imperial Envoy and his guards. 🤨I did find it funny how those guards just watched Ling aura farming until he couldn't anymore, and the guards finally interfered... AND thank God they did, actually! Because DAMN, even though I knew Ling has protagonist plot armour, I really thought for a second the bandits killed him! 🫣😮💨🙏 (yeah, trauma from that other drama is still there) Her choosing to use the Imperial Envoy and help him with the investigation to gain some benefit out of it? I think that was a quite smart move. And even if there's a possibility that it might not work the way she hopes it would, it's still better atm when Ling is injured, needs medicine, and they are starving. 😌I am giggling a little that they are now pretending to be fiancés, replaying in my mind those few moments we got with them in the shed — the ear scene, them whispering to each other so close... Nice! 🤭😏 The relationships in the Yu family will be interesting to see, because I sense there might soon rise some tension, especially from the pressure Madam Yu will put on the newlyweds. 🤨😬

I am so happy this has finally released! I waited for this so much. Ding Yuxi and Deng Enxi were amazing in Melody of Golden Age, and I am thrilled to watch their on-screen chemistry once again! 🤩🥰I already know I will love Zhao Ling — a quick-witted smuggler and, of course, skilled in martial arts. I always love fight scenes with Ding Yuxi, he does them so well, so I hope we get plenty in this drama. 😏I already noticed how much Ling cares for Sen, and I can assume he's like a little brother to him — someone he trusts, wants to protect, to keep him out of danger and to ensure his life turns out better than his own. Him telling Sen not to use hits that might kill people combined with the first rule of survival he taught him already proved that: "If words will do, never use your fists. If fists will do, never spend money. And if money will do, never risk your life." 🤗I wonder how long Ling will be able to keep his role as Imperial Envoy, because there are people already onto him being an impostor, Fu Tingyun included. And his role actually is not that convincing, because he doesn't know nobleman's etiquette, nor does he know anything, really, about the man he's pretending to be. 🤭Tingyun seems very clever, composed and oh, she's so beautiful. I am quite sure I will love her character, and can't wait to see what dynamics Tingyun and Ling will have. 🤗I love the choice for dresses here. Finally, they are not as long to sweep all the floors and soak all the mud. My heart always aches when I see those beautiful costumes treated that way.The premiere was great and I can't wait to see how the story will evolve. I haven't read the novel so everything pretty much will be a surprise to me, which very likely will make this journey so much more interesting! 🤗🤩

I think Cui Jinbai and Bu Shulin are becoming my favourites. Their scenes are such a blast to watch! 🤗 Tian Yuan also has my heart — I do love his comments on HuaYong and now he has even started to say anything he might want to hear before he's even asked. 😅Prince Lie cutting off the branch he's sitting on by blackmailing Xihe into marriage... 😬 And if only Prince Xie knew how close to the truth he is, but let's be real, anyone would think that's the craziest idea there possibly could be. 🤪Meanwhile, Huayong is scheming and plotting against those two to remove them from competition for Xihe as well... And her mind is set on Tanagra Incense... 😏I do enjoy this drama way more than I expected I would. 😌

Wow, what an amazing episode filled with love! They proposed to each other, announced their relationship to the world, smiled, kissed, and hugged a lot. Perfect! 🥰Her revealing she had fallen for him back in 2013 was such an unexpected, yet amazing plot twist! Loved it. A lot. And it's something I will keep in mind if I ever rewatch this drama — a new angle to the whole story. ❤️
