I loved Love Destiny and Thong-ek. I also enjoyed In Family We Trust and The Stranded (waiting for season 2 on Netflix). I recently started watching their BLs too. I thought it's not for me since I am straight and married but, boy, am I wrong. I should have started sooner!!! I'm so happy I decided to explore more dramas from other Asian countries aside from Korea. It is fun learning their culture and traditions and picking up bits and pieces from their language.
I recently finished watching The Romance of Tiger and Rose. I felt so empty and sad that it was over and I couldn’t…
I am now watching The Romance of Tiger and Rose. I can't remember the last time I laughed out this loud while watching a drama. I have a soft spot for low-budget rom-com historical C-dramas, I guess LOL
It started with a bang, sadly, it ended with a meh. It was fluffy and cute for the first half then it's as if they decided to let the leads' visuals and the music carry the entire drama.
love love Oh! My Emperor and I think I will have to watch this one judging by the reviews. The female lead is quite good in picking good scripts. I secretly enjoy low budget romcoms.
This is so freakin' me right now. I tried BL for the first time and watched TharnType a week ago. look at me now. spending my days in YouTube watching fanmade videos. I have watched 2 dramas and 2 movies after TharnType but I still go back to their videos after watching. This is like a breakup with no closure. Should I try The Untamed? LOL
that video of them in the ferris wheel at the end was a hint. he promised to show his movie in her theater. I guess he grew up well and they got back together. At least, that's how I interpret it.
I just finished 1988 and it's now one of my favourite slice of life dramas of all time. I gave it a 9 and desperately…
I just finished the drama last night so I want to answer this while it is still fresh in my mind and broken heart lol
1. she needed to move out because law school requires more dedication which they all know. traveling to and from school everyday will take up a lot of time which she could spend studying instead. when deok-sun visited her, she cried because all she was eating was ramen because she has no time to prepare proper meals. did you see their high school set up? This is one of the things that still shock me up to this day despite watching dramas for over a decade. High school students literally go home at 1 am just to study. 2. I believe the Dad was scammed which left them in debt. The person finally decided to pay the debt after many years. If you have a debt, you have to pay monthly which is why their one-income household is suffering. 3. It was a little bit late when Deok-sun realized the importance of studying. Reality slapped her in the face when her dad told her that his only dream is for his children to do well. She got the pushed she needed to study hard and concentrate on nothing else. Which leads us to number 4. 4. The two boys chose friendship over their first love. Which I am glad (and annoyed at the same time lol). Also, it has something to do with Deok-sun's newfound determination in #3. She decided to put all her efforts in studying and going to college putting love aside. 5. They meetup every year for Taek's birthday. They are all busy but they make sure to meet for their dear Taek's special day.
While I love this drama, I could not give it a 10 as well because of Jung Hwan's heartbreak and because Deok-sun and Taek's relationship was set aside for Bora and Sunwoo's. I love them too but I was really waiting for the family's reaction when they found out DS and Taek are dating and I wanted to see their wedding too!
