It's so rare to find a Chinese drama this good. Usually whiny stupid girl, cold boy, FL bf and ML bf as second…
pretty tired with those stereotypical characters, glad this drama has normal people for the main characters

Me too. I've been watching more chinese dramas than kdramas these days.
ikr, theyve been rather repetitive, even the thriller have been following the same formula

i have trust issue with time loop/time slip genre but this is unexpectedly good. it also doesnt have over the top element that chinese drama often guilty. i also like how the two main characters are just ordinary normal people that just happen to be caught in the loop, unlike those character that have exceptional skill/nackground that dramas like to use.

I love found family trope so I might watch this. Is there any romance in here even a slight one?
there was a slight hint but was never explicitly resolved

I’m seriously struggling with Ruoxin’s mom. I’m on episode 15 and still no sympathy.
on eps 15 they havent meet both ruoxin's dad and xu right? i only understand her mom more after her interaction with ruoxin's dad and xu, and more after mom met ruoxin's childhood friend (and i didnt mean ziyan by that).

The story and acting isnt over the top, if that answer the 'is it cringe' question. As for the 'hard to watch'…
thats a bit vague, im not sure how to answer that. you'll need to watch 2-3 eps to find that out yourself

What kind of relationship do they have? Like is it cringe and hard to watch or...?
The story and acting isnt over the top, if that answer the 'is it cringe' question.
As for the 'hard to watch' question, if you are open minded about age-gap/student-teacher story, id say go for it. Its one of the best in that genr. Its pure & innocent and with all the struggle and social issue that rises around it, it doesnt romanticize the relationship.

Just drop the episodes today before Russia invades Ukraine. I can't wait for an entire world war to watch it.
as a bear, im deeply sorry for that

Me too! I was hesitant before jumping into it cause of their age gap. But! but! never felt uncomfortable, this…
"I was hesitant before jumping into it cause of their age gap."
and then there is me who was hesitant because the number of eps but take the plunge because the age-gap (and netflix)

35 eps drama is not my usual taste but watching thsi one i didnt feel bored through the whole thing. there is barely any romance cliche or issue. on the contrary it was quite a warm, down to earth, mature and realistic drama, welp, minus the cheesy and cringe bit from the second half of it i guess (xD) but thats still manageable (lol, ive seen worse).
the ml and fl are definitely the highlight of this drama, they are both interesting character and not ones you usually found in romance drama but for me the most interesting character is actually ruoxin's mother. she was such a complex character that it hard to read her at first but when you learn her history, youll understand and feel sympathy toward her character.

this is one of those thriller that tried to be fancy but ended up being silly.

the zombie/virus plot have been milked countless time over and over and its no different here. if youve seen one youve seen all. lets be honest here, im not expecting a grand or novel plot from an action zombie. ive set a low enough bar to enjoy this for just what it is.
instead, what i find enjoyable here is the character interaction and survival part, like the 'shit' part (literally) and when they were trying to make a camp fire, also that comedic cut/edit of the comedic cop duo, theyd make a good boke/tsukomi duo (sorry i just had to borrow this term as im not sure if it exist in korean, let alone english) ngl lol

~~~~semi spoiler alert~~~~~~
that zombie bully is super irritating, him being alive till the end couldnt get anymore cliche but at least he gave much entertainment in the form of getting YEETED multiple. it kinda become a running gag lmao.
about the shit and not the food, imo its because it was something they could do here and there at the time, for food they had to risk their life.
