So MaxTul it is eh? Ok, ok I can get behind that. Both have serious acting skills and can give that mature edge I’m hoping this series brings. We know any kissing will be good lol and their chemistry is definitely there. Fingers crossed the writers and director can deliver.
I call this absolute trash idea.Do u also give your teacher half-done assignment, and if the teacher sees potential…
Oh yes I do think many of the actors have potential and hopefully they’ll get some better material to work with in the future! And fingers crossed SS2 will be better ^^

To be fair though, the existence of COVID doesn’t make up for bad writing lol. If a writer is good, they’re good regardless of environmental conditions. Same could be said for budget too because I’ve seen some low-budget productions that completely blew me away. I think we just need to call a spade a spade and stop trying to make excuses for poor/average quality work (not trying to offend you at all, just speaking generally).
This contest thing—do you know of it was mentioned before the series (all three) aired? Just wondering if they thought this series would do better than it did, and when the lackluster support came out they changed it to say this was only a teaser to see which was most popular, to try to deflect or coverup their performance (and honestly if people can barely get through four episodes, I don’t know how they’re going to get through 12+ lol).
If I didn't know any better I'd have thought this entire project was a FB ad.I'm now more than ever convinced…
Yeahhhh. I was thinking this has a film school feel to it but heck, that’s almost an insult to film students because I’ve seen much better written and produced works from some of them lol
To be honest in my opinion, the saving grace of this series is the supporting actors. They're so fun and natural,…
Agree! Also, I was thinking that the two friends who talked with Nuea while he was sitting at the lunch table (I think in ep 2 but I can’t remember) had more acting chops and chemistry than some of the leads.
A perfect 10 for this series. Am I the only one who thinks that if South Korea starts to make BL they will wreck…
Agree soooooo much. Of course, I wouldn’t expect anything less from this country! Lol. The next time someone gives a high score to a mediocre (or worse) series with the excuse that, “It’s short and we have to take it for what it is” (certain Thai BLs. I’m looking at you), I’ll just direct them to this and other Korean BL dramas haha
Don’t know for sure, but maybe budget and lack of material? Some are saying it’s due to COVID but that may not be it since they delayed filming this until after things calmed down.
My favorite couple but just as with En of Love as a whole, this installment left me feeling meh. I think Love Mechanics had the most potential for an interesting and complex storyline, but the writers missed the mark by rushing it. This is Love and TOSSARA had the same basic storyline of boy chases boy, but the writers didn’t have enough creativity or ingenuity to take it beyond that. In This is Love, this means we’re left with a stagnant storyline that borders on boring. The series felt like a premise or a thought rather than a journey. I think this should be a lesson that not every BL novel needs to be turned into a series. Overall a cute way to pass the time, but the end result did not meet my expectations.
On another note the actor playing Nuea reminded me of Plan in his eyes, his mannerisms, and the way he spoke. Anyone else? Lol
Yesss! I would love to see N'Gun in an action genre again xD Have you ever seen him with a GUN in his hand? He…
Haha yes!! He has such amazing range as an actor and can go from sweet and innocent to edgey in the blink of an eye (and I love that he does so many BL roles). I think he would play a detective quite well ^^
Not sure if a date (yet) but Lazy Subber posted about this on Facebook today. They said the author said this will premier in theaters but isn’t sure if it will come to an online platform. Sorry—that didn’t really answer your question but maybe it’s interesting to know? Lol
I like your pick of Bright for the lead of Dao Ming Si. He's definitely got the look for the character and from…
Oh nice! I didn’t know they said that too! Yes I absolutely adore Mean and would love to see him return to the BL genre at some point. Maybe they’ll consider LGBT work instead of BL since it tends to be more complex (at least the Thai ones I’ve seen).
I’ve got The Stranded on my Netflix watch list so I should check it out soon haha

Ohh ok now I know what you mean! I do remember when they said they wanted to do other things and (I think) if they did BL again, they only wanted to be paired with their ship. I’m sure that was very frustrating and disheartening for them, especially when they meant exactly what you said about exploring more challenging and diverse roles (because BL is typically limited by its own stereotypes), which is totally valid and understandable!

Ahh I see! I’m not familiar with the article, but that is unfortunate that a misinterpretation led to some people attacking actors :( It is good to hear from all sides though, especially since I think my comment may have oversimplified things a bit too much haha

Totally agree. And there are certainly several BL actors who continue to do BL roles as other characters, which is great to see. I’ve also just heard that for many, it’s a stepping stone into their acting career because it gives them so much popularity, so that’s where o was coming from. It does seem to be changing though as BL gains more international popularity and new waves of actors are coming in. ^^
(Also, I didn’t mean to imply that the actors look down on the genre. I can only think of a few who could be categorized that way, so apologies if my comment came off as such.).
Just gotta say SOS is one of THE BEST Thai dramas I’ve seen to address mental health issues so accurately. It’s a great one and glad to see it included here! Also saw a few that peaked my interest. Thanks!

Yes this script was so disappointing. You had one job, writers, one job!
