Ok I gotta know—does anyone else hate Da Kyung (in addition to Tae Oh of course) or is it just me? Lol I really can’t stand her smug attitude and her comments/sentiment toward Joon Young.
I think Jack was supposed to be a ladyboy, so a man who identified as a woman (put simply anyway, I think the concept and identity of ladyboy is much more complex than this, from the bit that I’ve read about Thai culture. It can refer to MTF individuals (pre- and post-op), effeminate gay men, or one who identifies as belonging to a third gender). ^_^
I think that's a bit far-fetched. Showing more skinship does not necessarily mean you'll end up with a "soft porn".…
Hello! Please pardon my friendly interruption. Just want to point out (for others as well) that 3 Will Be Free (and Friend Zone, as another example which I’ve seen pointed out by someone in another comment) are produced by GMM 25 whereas most other GMM BLs are produced by GMM One. GMM 25 has more mature shows and probably appeals to an older audience, which is why the kissing is more realistic and not hidden. So same parent company but different networks appealing to different demographics. Kind of like Nickelodeon vs TeenNick (for any westerners who know these two networks).
(Just wanted to add to the conversation and this seemed like a good place to jump in lol)
I feel like some of the confusion over where their relationship is at (along with the did they/didn't they) might…
Good points! I also just think that viewers are so used to BLs where the main leads get together by the middle of the series, and the rest of the series is about other stuff. But 2gether shows us these two falling for each other (or rather, Tine falling for Wat). Of course it’s a slower pace—but that’s the story they’re telling. The climax is them ending up together and the resolution/falling action is them living “happily ever after, riding off into the sunset together” so to speak. It’s a simple love story. That’s it. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I know :( I think they have good bromance too, and maybe in a different universe I would ship them as a couple (or maybe exes who ultimately found their soulmate in someone else), but something about the Neur and Praram storyline/dynamic is so cute to me, so they've already won my heart lol. Here's hoping they don't let me down.
Hmmm I think I would like to see someone like Ten Tosatid or maybe Plustor as one of the leads. They have that mature, sexy vibe that can pull off what feels like should be an edgier BL lakorn. Or maybe some other well-loved BL actors, like Singto or maaaaybe Gun, but just not in the same old ships. I’d also be down for new faces though! Very interested to know the cast.
I don't fucking understand how people are already giving the drama a review. We're not even a halfway thru
I can’t staaaaaaaand that! It happens with almost every popular airing drama, and it really irks me lol regardless of whether it’s praising or critiquing the drama. I feel like reviews shouldn’t be written until the show is complete and one has finished the show (unless you dropped it, but even then I feel like at least half or close to half of the show should have been watched). You just can’t leave a useful review after one or two episodes! Most of these initial reviews can just be comments.
This author has this thing of turning their tops into rapist to validate their masculinity. It was the same in…
I know :( I hate that line of thought too! And I’m also glad they changed Wat’s character for the show. He’s so charming and he and stone have such good chemistry (credit to actors of course ^^), and not to mention how insanely popular and well-loved this show is. Just goes to show you don’t need misinformed rape-to-love storylines to have a successful BL (or any show for that matter)!

Ohh interesting observation! I don’t think you’re reading too much into it. I’d say you’re probably right. (Especially thinking about how this kind of “joke” seems prevalent in many Thai BLs that I’ve seen). I definitely think knowing the cultural context is important in interpreting colloquialisms like that (for any language) because just as you pointed out, the translation may not be the most accurate, and foreigners (like me) wouldn’t even know the difference!
I didn't exactly mind that the Eng subbed YouTube version cut the "sex scenes," but I don't like missing conversation…
Were those scenes in the LineTV links though? To be honest I have yet to watch bc I’m salty towards the director/producer’s cheap antics lmao but I skimmed through both and they seemed to be identical? I was confused, though, that none or few of the teaser scenes were included (but idk if that’s what you meant). Guess they only used those for clickbait and ad revenue :/

Edit: oh god, the band! lol
Agree with you—hate this trope so much. :/
