Yeap stop here...jisoo!! Dont forget to make a 3rd account to continue the conversation lol (if im counting correctly, this is your 2nd ha?) hahhhahaha
Its diffrent to become anything or having a lifestyle of your own because of your own choice and different when certain factors determine your decision by brainwashing you with fear, theories of dirt, of sin etc. I dont mind if you dont understand, you should do the same." Just like a racist, a hater and so on". You answered to my question at last. You re fine with all the above. Im not and i ll never be. And im proud of it so are the people like me. Again, good luck!
My point was very significant. I asked if you justify the same way, a racist, a hater, a sexist, someone who kills, castrates, condemns people because they are what they are. Your answer is clear. Well, i guess you justify anyone and anything with the "windows" theory. Good luck with that!
And lets pay our respects for that scene at his loft where she runs for the pot and he runs to hug her from behind. Those who ve watched the end can get the chills of the past that is repeated in such a hinted way
One of my favorites and with the most lasting impression for me...any suggestions for a similar drama anyone ??…
Try the Japanese original version (sadly its not anywhere in hd) but still, its deeper, darker and great performances solid acting and classes above the Korean remake. The only problem is that if you watch the Jversion you will probably laugh with the Korean. Of course the story is already spoiled for someone who has already watched either of them, but still the Japanese one will dig your heart gently and then smash it violently until the final redemption. Im still hooked
Have you watched Oedipus Tyrannos? Its not disgusting. Even between blood related people, can be erotic love, when they dont even remember each other, or not having a common past. Same blood has no certain scent to be recognized. Of course its dark and tragic but it can happen.
Maybe not important, but the position between Yuko & Ryo on boat (ending) is fake :P I mean how can Ryo have his…
She shot herself straight to the heart. Death by shooting at heart is not always immediate. It takes some seconds of bleeding (shooting at head, esp at the low back, can cause immediate death). So she had the tim to lie beside him in that position
I really wanted to see Ryu and Yuko together! Whenever I saw them together it made my heart skip a beat ^_^ I…
You may not read my ansewer cause your comment is so many years ago, but i just scroll down to read comments. His love to Yuko was not due to their blood relation. It was a purely lovers love. Though his inner self might have recognized her as someone loved in the past (of course not as a sibling) so thats why he was so opened to her since the beginning. But he did fell in love. Attraction works in mysterious ways but its core it purely natural and irresistable.
Ryo, with his controversial personality, manages to make several woman fall in love with him and urges them to…
Yeap his character depiction looks more like a sociopath with fragmented personality-plus the childhood memory loss after the incident which played major role to his personality growth. His emptyness couldnt be filled with nun's who nurtured him at the orphanage love, neither with any woman's love, because to absorb love there must be some kind of a solid personality ground with no trauma or at least a trauva that is shows and is already procceeding to be healed. Poetically put by the writers, Yuko succeeded to make him absorb his love, his heart was available to her since day 1, and i thing it was because his innerself recognized her as someone loved from the past (though not as a sister of course). Now that i read it, its not that poetically put, but it could happen for real- i mean to recognize emotiionally someone you ve forgotten.
Ok You know what was the most fucked up part about it its not the incest but the fact that Yuko shot herself in…
Yeap it was so hard. But no one in this story deserved such an ending (ok except for the ML but still considered his destroyed personality since childhood and memory loss-even his punishment was too much). Sadly, redemption and catharsis can only be done by harsh punishment-speaking in dramatical terms. Great story over all and so beautifully given.
First time i wanted to write a drama review but im still shaking. So i ll write a few things here. Whoever loves greek tragedies, should watch this one. Main heroes in greeek tragedies of classical era same as in this drama, go through: "yvris-atis-nemesis-tisis" (meaning: commit a crime before the eyes of gods-losing their minds and sense of morality-provoke their punishment and finally receive it as the greatest tragedy so that there will come the redemption (or katharsis in greek). It will take your heart and put it gently into a chopping machine. But i ve never watched a story given in such perfect editing and narrative even thoug the production was very low bugdet, the soundtrack repetitive and sometimes off topic, but with such solid performances from the actors. Oh! And if you watch the Korean version too, you can freely spit them at the face for butchering such a great story and make it a parody.
U may find her weird bcz u hvnt seen much of the Japanese dramas lol n its just the character she played ,she…
I recently had a conversation about that supposed "cuteness" of asian depicted characters in dramas/movies. And both my friends and i (also both asians-them-and im greek) we came to the conclusion that its not about cuteness. Its about appearance. Esp women (ok and most Korean actors) look cute. But when it comes to jdramas, when you like dark raw real deep stuff, all this "cuteness" dissapears cause the acting lvl is just above average at the very least. Even here, FL looks n acts sooooo cute like a 10yo girl, but she walked into a cage-like loft, to love a guy who looks darker the the dark itself (and she already had clues when she first did went to him with that bird). Real cuteness (and dumpness) one can easily find in numerous contemporary kdramas-which i love btw- but when i wanna watch something good, i know that jdramaworld will give me plenty.
That's why i said that dramas are not obliged to be anything. No matter how crazy their world is, they have to convince the audience. Some are convinced some are not. As for the dirtyness of the human body and desires, sorry but human history is full of theories, religional/philosofical/cultural that blame the body and sex so to manipulate people. When religions started the dirtyness theories, they couldnt even tell if a symptome was a result of a flu or tumor. Stds and hygiene are not reasons for not having sex or for blaming this natural expression and call it dirty. And you know very well that all the above blamed sex not for these reasons but because of certain morality they wanted to plant into people's minds. Of course there is blame and luckily nowadays people in the civilized world can easily tell whats truth and whats not (at least more than the past). I wont justify religions and cultures who nurtured humanity for thousands of years with these sick theories, the same way i dont justify racists, sexists, nazists etc, Last but not least, our bodies and the way we express love with them, are not dirty, at least not dirtier than life itself. We are born covered with blood and body fluids. That's why sex is not supposed to be clean (and i dont mean hygienic rules and protection). Life itself is bloody and dirty. It is what it is.
I have never encountered such a frustrating female protagonist like in this drama. The male lead, perfectly written...no…
Very bad written character for such a wonderful actress (Rip). I was wating forever to get an explanation about her come back to that sh@tty bf, i mean he could blackmail her, or something to justify her choice...but no! They just ridiculed the whole thing. I fast forwarded to the last scene just to wrap up the whole thing. Such a waste in such a sweet overall drama
