I am all for Mickey/Q but... worst kiss ever.
Mickey got as close to Q as he could and was waiting for Q to move the last few millimeters. Q didn’t. He does just look at Mickey as a young kid. The kiss was bad because Q couldn’t move a millimeter in 30 seceonds.

Title That's My Candy Spoiler
O.K. for a Cheewin series, I'll give some credit for making it through an entire first episode without anyone doing anything gross. Yay! No one had diarrhea! Episodes since flatulence or vomit = 1

Good to see Kok and Oreo. I don't expect much from those roles. I hope Kok gets a chance to wear shorts, since he had the best legs in TharnType.

Not much going on. My guess is that there's issues beyond just being late for one dinner. And FFS. Pick up your damn cell phone and call him rather than pretending you didn't do something totally wrong. He also could have just told Bank to fuck off, it was his anniversary.

I don't think this will be memorable series. But I don't agree that its a horrible use of their talent either.

Yep. The most sensible thing they could have done for a guy who was hit by a car going less than 10 miles per hour is...just call an ambulance. But instead, they lift him up and start walking with him while he's clearly barely conscious. Like getting his ass into an Udon shop would help any of that.

CPR done wrong is one of my peeve tropes. This was one of the worst. "I can't do CPR, because that would be my first kiss!" Ugh. Like he's clearly breathing and I'm assuming his heart is still beating, but don't bother to check to see if its even necessary. Because its "romantic looking". I don't know why, but whenever I see it, I want to take a bat and rattle the heads of screenwriters and directors. "Oh, you're unconscious from a head injury. Why don't we disrupt your breathing and break your ribs trying to "help" you." While we're at it, lets apply a tourniquet when you have a paper cut and do a tracheotomy when you have a cold?

Title Cutie Pie
I know that we speak about this many time but this was the first time when I feel really uncomfortable about they…
Now to be fair, in cultures where child betrothal is practiced, a lot of the engagement is spent waiting for the girl to start menstruating so she’s legal to have sex with because she’s an adult that can bear children. Waiting around to have someone to have sex with is baked into the cake. Given that’s the world of the story, I’m going to give Lian a pass here. It’s going to seem gross to those of us who don’t have arranged marriages like this. Very few places still do. It’s not “child marriage”. That’s really rare. Most cultures that do arranged marriages these days at least wait until young adulthood before finalizing the arrangements so that the wait time is less. Or marry them earlier. But Kuea being married to Lian at 12 or 13 is even more repulsive than what we have here.

I think for Lian and Kuwaiti it’s 4-5 years. Kuea is 18. Based on their ages when they did the betrothal ceremony, Lian is something like 24 at the most.

“is this sort of relationship really desired by anyone?”

Men. Lots and lots of men want this kind of relationship. And why wouldn’t they? Pretty much everything in the relationship works to their advantage. If only so many women weren’t so “stubborn.”

Title Cutie Pie Spoiler
I didn’t really like ep 9. The biggest reveal to me was that Lian’s family was poor. For some reason I thought they had indicated early on that they were both the sons of prominent families. The arranged marriage makes even less sense than it did in ep 1. Why would a super rich (at the time) family enter into an arranged marriage with a poor family? I’d say it wouldn’t matter, except the character himself says it’s impacting the decisions he’s been making and his feelings about his lover and their relationship. Ciminies, why wait until ep 9 for that info.

So we’ve seen Lian make investments in a club for Kuea to perform in and a racetrack for him to drive around in and sports cars for him to drive. And now it turns out that he wants a frugal household with a guy who saves money on food. FFS. Does anyone think these two will go without a Maid and cook? Kuea…could both be a very successful pop star or go work for Toyota. But hubby will always be sad that he didn’t marry someone who cooks his meals. And any number of standards hubby pulls out of his ass at any time to keep wifey feeling inadequate. Plus sex whenever he wants it. O.k. This series would work as a parody of the gender imbalances in Thailand except that it wants us to take it seriously.

I guess I’m supposed tp be thrilled that they use their snuggle time in the tub to make the case for same sex marriage. I mean, it looks like it’s not going to be passing Thai Parliament this year. But come on. No one who is supporting gay marriage is lobbying for arranged marriages between an 8 and 12 year old. They would have been better off setting this series in a fantasy Thailand where marriage equality was already legal. All this pontificating does is serve as a reminder that the premise of the series is ludicrous. Why would the two families go through the trouble of making this arrangement when it is legally impossible? Kuea’s family is nuts. No wonder they’ve lost their fortune.

There is no meaningful age gap between the pairings. It’s just been created so that there’s some kind of conflict. There’s nothing here that couldn’t br solved by the show runners allowing me to go into the restaurant to smack some heads and give a 5 minute lecture. The power imbalance has nothing to do with age.

Mickey handled his rejection well. He gave Q 30 seconds to move one millimeter to return that kiss. And nothing. Q I think does like him, but only as a brother.

After watching Miracle of Teddy Bear, both Mon and Mickey have no idea how bad very bad parents can be. Mickey should watch that series and go buy his mom flowers every day for a week for being such a brat.

I think this is it for So. He told 7/8th of the truth, but the lie at the end was too much. Chance was blown. The problem for Saint is that I don’t think Mon has feelings for him.

Going to guess that Gen and Song are going to be fine. But its really sad that the moment Song's dad starts trying to take an interest in him and celebrate his success, he talks in a way that indicates that he'll be disappointed to find out his son is gay. Although maybe he'll say "I'm fine as long as your boyfriend buys new glasses." And our biggest problem with Gen will be solved.

I hope that episode 10 FINALLY ends Phrippri's courtship of Nut. I couldn't feel at all sorry for her, no matter how heartfelt and poignant they wanted to make that rejection. It seemed to go on forever + 10 minutes too long.

I appreciate the backsliding, even if I don't like the behavior. Nut has issues and its frustrating for all of us watching him revert to old habits whenever he's stressed. But that's what people are like. Same for his mother. Its one thing to say that you're better and will do better going forward. But Nut in particular hasn't done anything to actually change, so he's back abusing his mother again. And let's be honest here. He went out of his way to create a confrontation with her in ep 10. He's not actually getting better.

Well, something happened to make Nut angry with Tarn. Angry enough that when he thought his ex might have sent Tofu he got angry and paranoid. Given that Tarn is Jan’s nephew, and that Jan’s school director friend was involved in outing him, going to guess that somehow Nut was manipulated into thinking Tarn was a bad person.

I think it was Tarn and Nueng. And Tarn and Nut. And that Nut is writing about their relationship, not his own relationship with Tarn.

So friends to lovers + roommates to lovers + co-workers to lovers. Kind of a trifecta. I've always liked the humor from the tension of watching a BL couple that doesn't yet realize that they are a couple. Plus the irony of working for a firm where they'll be meeting unhappy, divorcing couples all the time. And for all his claims that he's against being married, he kind of already is. My feelings about the series are probably going to be based on how plausible the conflict is when it arises and how they handle the inevitable late series break up. (I mean, its BL, so they are going to have to break up).

All the dramatics of “I don’t have much time” and he’s just studying abroad?? Bruh. What is the trope…
Yeah. Somehow I think BL writers act like its 1910 and the only way to communicate is by hand written letters and the only way to travel is by ocean liner. This is especially true for a family like So's that are super wealthy. Like So is never going to be able to fly back to Thailand because the $600 for a ticket is impossible to come up with. This is a guy who abandoned a well-furnished condominium to go slumming in a room share. Money really isn't an object.
