Then all the courtiers stuff his harem with their own spies, women so they can say they are part of the Royal Family. If you have a kid then you are lucky. From the sound of it Consort Yue came after the Emperor married the Empress.♥

The proposal was an absolute shock to her. In her small world and unworldliness she just thought he was being nice to her. It hadn't crossed her mind that he had feelings for her. Her parents could see it. She couldn't. Also he kinda is a bit over bearing and commanding. << this is how she sees him. She is not afraid of him but doesn't realize she respects him. Respect is important in a relationship. The only reason he proposed at that moment was because of the "ladies" treatment of her. He did it within their hearing and left them fainting in their seats. hahahaha♥ Yes he wants to protect her. He will stop their bullying when he can. ♥

Not his real father not his real mother. They are his aunt and uncle. Chinese families are confusing. ♥

YS needs his character built alright. Pompous ass he is. Maybe he'll round off his pomposity in Part 2. I always like yelling at the screen. You loose. Goes for any drama when they win against the antagonist. He lost. << You LOOOSE

Ep 25 when LY said she was the best girl. Who said "shut up" and who said "of course". I played it twice but didn't figure it out.♥

Get through episode 5 it really picks up after that. First 5 are background on characters.

She is just over 15 yrs now. so add 5 yrs. About 20. Probably not at the beginning of Part 2 but by the later part.

If you like well developed characters, fun, intrigue, and great actors then by all means. Everyone who is seriously watching it is greatly enjoying it. ♥

It's my understanding it was arranged. (Empress ) We shall have to see how the script depicts it. As you know he has been attracted to her for a long time. hahahaha She must have finally come up to his standards. ♥

So how many times did you watch it to figure that out? It's not something I noticed. When they film they would do all the filming (usually) for that location where they are. So it could cast over years with costume changed to reflect the passing of time. << all filmed on same couple of days at that location. As to why side characters have the same costume I really didn't notice. What I do notice in a lot of C dramas they are not big on continuity. Like suddenly a character is in clean clothes when they lost their luggage or their hair is dry when they fell in the lake. Stuff like that. ♥

WeTV subscription for international release. It may release in Chine sooner.

The writer of script has a very good insight to human nature. There are nuances that each character has that give this drama some depth of characters. I have not seen this for a long time at least with the 220 Chinese dramas I've watched. I've given up watching certain types as they keep repeating the story just with different characters. Some genres I just don't bother with any longer. ♥

Yes Immortal Samsara is same old, same old. Too bad. Not knocking it it's something to watch in between this one.
