I think the general doesn't want to drag Niao Niao into his intrigue. So he is proceeding with caution. So he will step up to the plate and propose but the intrigue will get in the way and cause them to part. There is no rushing romance and things happen for a reason. The General has his reasons.♥

Yes, just enjoy what was created to make the journey of the characters more memorable. Girl meets boy fall in love instantly and get married seems too rushed to me. What's the point of having a series. The enjoyment is in the discovery. I wish everyone would sit back and just enjoy instead of rush, rush, rush. Happy Drama Watching.♥

It didn't bother her because in her mind they are going to be riding off together in the sunset and it's only temporary with the family. First he needs a job then they move out and do what they want. ♥

I think because they are so close in age and come from dysfunctional families they do have a lot in common. I don't think CSS has thought it through and is idealistic in her thinking about their relationship. She did not take into account the families (dysfunctional). She only focused on the current in the moment when they were away from their families. Maybe if they didn't have to go back their relationship would work. Alas it's not the way it goes in ancient Chinese culture. ♥
