The c-drama "Word of honor" it's adapted from a Priest novel called "Faraway Wanderers". Now some of his books…
@8982999 Before Faraway wanderers...First read Lord Seventh...its prequel. The main character of Faraway wanderers is an important supporting character in Lord Seventh. The background of how he reached to his situation in FW happens in Lord Seventh. So try to read that one first. And I agree Priest has written some of the best stories in danmei. There's another one which has one season of donghua also. Lie Huo Jiao Chou/Drowing Sorrows in Raging Fire was pretty good too. Unfortunately, the account where I was reading it on wattpad is gone...but someone else has picked up the translation recently.
These are both old articles...first one is from 2016, after Addicted became famous and was taken down before it…
Yeah, it has 40 episodes total and only 8 have aired. Actually it aired for only one day.....as they dropped all 8 episodes together. Next drop of episodes was to come next week....but nothing did. Its been 3 months now.

@LeeJeA Justice in the dark....based on MoDu (Silent Reading) another one of Priest's novel. That drama received very positive reviews in China and was the most watched I think, for that quarter with just 8 episodes. As usual it was pulled off air....it was trending in china multiple times after each episode.
Sorry guys it seems hard for this series including a few more read https://qz.com/630159/chinas-new-television-rules-ban-homosexuality-drinking-and-vengeancehttps://38jiejie.com/2022/01/08/beijing-government-calls-for-full-stop-on-idol-variety-shows-and-danmei-adaptation-films-and-dramas/
These are both old articles...first one is from 2016, after Addicted became famous and was taken down before it finished. Few years later, Guardian, The Untamed, Word of Honor were allowed to air. This series was also supposed to air after Word of Honor finished. But once again, due to popularity of WOH ban on bl was implemented. Now after a year of waiting, JITD became popular with just 8 episodes...ccp's morality police woke up again. Might have to wait another year....so let's just go back to thai and korean bls....which I'm not surprised to see are becoming better and better every day.
Anyone know which chapter of the web novel picks up where the drama left off?
Around 254/255. Just a heads up the ending sequence of the drama does not happen in the book. There's no standoff, no back stabbing or 2nd princes ultimatum....atleast not then... it happens later in the story. FX arrives safely in the capital but ends up running into the first prince and his battalion. Not a good beginning of their friendship...but he was the only prince who was not into politics and never wanted the throne. which was why they became friends for life.
I wonder if they did that because it was specifically to stroke the ego of the murderer as a way to interrogate…
That's correct...FeiDu/PeiSu did it to make the murderer think the police are being nice to him because they want to agree to his deal...when actually it was Fei Du playing mind games to make him spill more details like how the two cases of he zongyi and Chen yuan were linked. He Zongyi was killed by the murderer personally while he caused incidents which led to Chen yuan"s death. I'm not sure they explained it clearly in the drama or not...but the novel does.
Is it explained how/why Fei Liu so strong and accomplished martial artist despite just being a teenage kid. He…
I don't think they explained in the drama but the novel did explain why he was so strong in martial arts. As a small child he was kidnapped by an assassin organisation. These people kidnapped little kids and trained them to be assassins. They were given drugs that enhanced their martial power. But their brains stopped developing after that. So all the kids were like Fei Liu. After the organisation accidentally killed their country's crown prince the whole group was wiped out. Fei Liu and some little ones escaped but died due to starvation one by one. By the way FL had just finished his training and had not yet been sent out to kill at the time of the purge. After wandering around in the wilderness almost starving to death, he was found by Lin Chen and Mei Chang Su. Hope that helps.
Yeah the story is so different but I've noticed that the main characters are a little bit similar (personality…
Actually Jo was always the aunts favourite but Amy was chosen for the trip...because Jo did something against the aunts wishes....I think...can't remember...been too long.
Listen to me....with the amount of chemistry these two share on screen....it's like oozing from their pores...do they even need kisses. I'm just happy seeing them working together again.
I think it was mentioned in some previous episode that Jang UK was actually engaged to the elder Jin daughter…
I just checked the episodes and it was only mentioned that UK got engaged to the younger sister as he wanted to get his powers released and broke up when Jin family wouldnt help him. I guess I might have read some fan theories and mixed them up up in my head. I apologise.
However, its still a cool idea that both souls inside Mudeok fall in love with Jang UK and work together to help him gain his powers and his proper place in this world.
About the blind girl, for now we only know that:- she's still pretty conscious in the soul realm and she kind…
I think it was mentioned in some previous episode that Jang UK was actually engaged to the elder Jin daughter who died/disappeared. The younger sister was crazy for UK so she convinced her mother they continue the engagement with her as a replacement. If the blind girl is the lost Jin daughter then her soul might recognize Jang UK and tried to help him. I think his friends also mentioned he loved his fiance or was still mourning her or something. And that was also the reason he broke the engagement with the younger sister.
I only see cast listing for Cheng Song...I think that was ShaoShang's twin bro....what about the other 2 older brothers? In the novel, Brothers were totally wrapped around Shaoshangs little finger....loved their dynamic. Also 3rd Aunt and ShaoShang gave more mother-daughter besties vibes than her own actual mother....I will need to see that in the drama too.
In the novel, do they get married and then there will be some story/plot after that (similar to Story on Minglan)?…
No, I think they just implied that they will be married. They got engaged though....and then broke up or he went to war or something like that. Female lead gets engaged 3 times in this novel. she's very rational and practical while making her choices. Male lead was not a sensible choice she thought...so she never considered him at all...also she was kind of scared of him at first.
LMAO...saw the teaser and what did I say about tried and tested land on the lips trip-fall-kiss. Pity, I was actually looking forward to the neck version of this trope.
Just read that this drama is being marketed as mature themed and is rated 19+. Missed watching YKS and SJH has grown on me after CLOY and Black Knight.
Tried and tested k/c/t drama way, trip or stumble. Usually, they land exactly on each others lips, without either of them trying to. Atleast they changed the location in this one.
