A league of noblemen may air this year. Maybe even in July or August. WeTv has it listed in their coming soon section....and has also released a new promo.
ShaPoLang may also air this year...probably in August. Not sure of Immortality though. Tencent has spent a lot on it and wants to earn it all back since it's popular and has a huge fan base. So its not going to air it when there's competition, especially with its own other drama.

Me too. I'm reading it again right now. And actually, I feel it's highly possible they will adapt QiYe into a drama too. Since peole are still interested in world and the characters of WOH and QiYe. Its looks like its not based on actual people or a period in history. So it possible they can do away with the reincarnation stuff and make it a purely court politics/wuxia drama. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I think L&R is a xianxia drama. Those dramas have different rules...for censorship. Stories with God's and immortals can have reincarnation elements, as it's fantasy but historicals, based on actual period of time in history or modern dramas are not allowed.

Reincarnation, transmigration, rebirth,etc is the most popular genre of the IP novels. They make adaptations of those books anyways even though its censored.
QiYe actually is more about princes scheming for the throne and court politics than reincarnation....like 95% of the story is the 3 Princes and their factions trying to bring each other down. I'm sure if they get a good script writer they can work it out.

This is the original novel summary. The drama summary was the one posted before. I think they removed the one night stand bit from the drama. And added a boat load of crappy tropes like jealous girl trying to humiliate main girl and other business mess.Seriously there was no need for the added business and jealous girl drama to make it more 'dramatic'. Novel had more than enough of it with the angst between the leads.

He implied that he got rid of everyone who tried to convince him to support Ah Xiang and Wei Nings relationship. He definitely killed the uncle coz the uncle must have tried to stop him. Not sure if he killed eldest senior though...that's his own son....maybe injured him so he couldn't interfere with his plans.

You are in for a delightful surprise, my dear. Our ML is pretty vocal in his appreciation of his beloved. You'll be hearing WKX compliment ZZS with words like beautiful shoulder blades, slim waist, long legs, fabulous voice and incomparable physique.
We have hugs, we have hand holding, we have very blatant flirting and we have our found family being domestic. Believe me, it couldn't be more obvious what they mean to each other...even without those 3 words.

From reading the summary, they changed a lot of stuff, didn't they. Took out all the angst between main leads and the reason for the angst. It seems like the reason for the breakup also changed. Will check out anyways just because I've been waiting for this to come out for a long time. Pity it seems a totally different story from the book.

Yeah he did a good job as QiYe. If they did make it, they would have to remove all the reincarnation stuff, obsessed with the Prince, etc. Though that would effect his character development a lot. But turning the reincarnation into a premonition dream might work just as well. Anyways, I too wish they would find a way to adapt QiYe. I want to see ZZS and QiYe becoming best friends over their love of excellent wine. I still LOL over how everyone thinks QiYe is their soulmate in the novel.

You guys should check out ShaPoLang audio drama to make the wait more bearable. I'm enjoying listening and reading it on YT....it comes with english subs. Just a heads up its not finished yet. No updates since last 3 months. They stopped at Season 3 chapter 9 which is around chapter 90 or 91 in the novel.

The only reason I said May was because the director or the producer, I don't remember who, was very active on his social media about trying his best to get it to air in May. But it got delayed because the second round of censorship demanded several cuts and edits. I remember someone saying that he was running around trying to hurry the censors to pass...too bad they got delayed due to editing stuff.

Thats not necessarily true. League of noblemen released their trailer last year and still no air date for that drama either.
If this drama did air now, it might do what WOH did....suddenly release with no promotion...to avoid unnecessary attention. But the perfect time for this to air was May. Now its too close to ccp 100 year celebration...censors are keeping too close an eye on what content gets to air...so slipping past that does not seem possible. One little misconstrued word or line could mean the drama getting taken down and never getting the chance to air ever again. Immortality did the smart thing and completely gave up airing their drama until after the celebrations are done.

Good job. Now I can rewatch peacefully and without getting stressed over subtitles taking me out of it. I got so pissed every time I heard A Xu/Lao Wen...and saw Zhou Xu/WKX. Then I got even more upset when ep 15 came and Deng Kuan was subtitled as Kuan'er. Such unfair treatment for our WenZhou.

WOH has 36 full length episodes and an extra 3 minute bonus scene in a MV. If you have not spoiled yourself and watch only till episode 36, then get ready to cry buckets at the sad ending. Coz in China no BL adaptation drama will pass censorship if they have a happy ending, WOH creators chopped off the happy ending from the end of episode 36 and posted it as a 3 min. clip at the end of an OFFICIAL MV.
What everyone's worried about is that people who watch it on Netflix without any prior knowledge of the drama or the novel, will think it has a bad ending.
Since Netflix (unlike A. Prime) has posted episodes that has other bonus scenes such as ep 6, 12, 17 and 20...fans here are hoping to bombard Netflix with comments hoping to make them add those 3mins of pure happiness to episode 36.

I checked Netflix at 12.30 am my time, just in case. To my delight, it was there. I'm on epi 2 right now. As expected they removed shidi, shixiong,etc. But for the rest the subs seem to be more or less similar to YT subs. Some lines are more clear and the grammar is better.Pity, they didn't sub the ost.
Also, no ep37.

They'll need an experienced actor for Blackwater. Such a difficult character to play as he has so many different persona's at different periods of his life.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope drama God's are giving their blessings to this show. We can't match Hua Cheng's number but should we try lighting some lanterns??

I have a feeling they are going to cast a female actor for that role and let her cross dress as a man....rather than have a guy actor cross dress as a woman.....which will be such a shame.
Coz it gave a nice touch to his character that he was forced to dress up as a woman but then his powers also increased when he was in a female form. It was so funny reading about people's reactions whenever he changed into a woman/man.
I'm also curious as to who will be cast to play Blackwater.

Would you believe, I forgot about the bonus scene. I had already spoiled myself about the ending on March 23rd, so I knew about it but at that moment my feelings overwhelmed me so much that it completely slipped my mind. It was when I came here and thankfully saw some good people leaving comments and links about ep 37 that I remembered to watch it and felt a little better.
I pity all the other bls lined up to come after WOH....they will all suffer from comparisons and may end up wanting....as I'm not ready to let go of these two yet. But thankfully, we have some time to breathe before we get bombarded with the other bls. Until then lets bask in the sun together with our two immortals on the mountain. Hopefully they won't get fed up with all the Shanren crowding their lovenest and decide to kick everyone down the mountain.
