There is a drama from this year that I like: "Novoland Castle in the sky 2 (season 2).
Wow. I could not even finish the very first episode of Novoland: Castle in the Sky 2 before I dropped it.
The tiny-microscopic golden wings of that daughter were too comical for me. Compared the beautiful majestic golden wings of her father, hers were cartoonish. And the non-stop comic relief tone of that second season largely diverted from the stoical and solemn tone of the first season. That second season was a big letdown for me.
Lost Love in Times - Clear and intelligent storyline - Strong ML and astute FL - Off the chain chemistry, synergy and symbiotic partnership - Badass fighters - Mesmerizing choreography fighting sequences - Adorable and loyal younger brother - Plenty of magic - Amazing CGIs - Hardly any annoying characters - Exquisite wardrobes and stunning makeup - Perfect OST (Because Of You by William Chan)
Ok...This drama is the definition of a throwback. It is back to the 80s and the 90s when the Chinese martial arts…
This strange 1980/1990s throwback was in filmed in the modern days of 2017... LOL
Filming took place in Hengdian World Studios, Yunnan, Xinjiang, etc. Filming lasted around four months from June 2017 to October 12, 2017. Following Legend of Jade Sword, it is the second high fantasy costume drama by Beijing Joy Eastern. There are many crossovers from the costume, the props, the set design and the special effects (Or the complete lack of...) as both have the same production team.
Fun Facts: For both Peter Sheng and Olivia Wang, it is the most fighting that they've done for a production. They tried to avoid using stunt doubles as much as possible and insisted to do their own fighting scenes. Yeahhhhh... They both should have used stunt doubles and air cables/wire fu. Their fight choreography sequences are among the worst that I have seen since the 1980s.
I was seriously on the verge of tearing my hair out when she screwed up with using the failed assassination as…
This is strange. I found the FL interesting at the beginning of this drama; however now, with her constant lies... Her materialistic ways... And her crude disposition... Her character has become a turnoff for me. The ML has also become a rather pathetic mush compared to his strong and decisive persona from the beginning. He is supposed to be a great general with a profound tactical and strategic background. But by episode 17, he has become a pitiful-weak-imbecile of a lover-boy.
I am not getting any chemistry between the 2 of them. The only 2 characters that I still find interesting are that imbecile’s parents.
I am on the verge of dropping this side-story-cdrama-filler.

But “Suum cuique” to each their own...
In a historical Wuxia romance drama...
This is what I call “A Chinese Noona Romance”
Would it work?
I am most definitely intrigued.
BRING IT ON!!!
Fyi:
I hope Sa Ding Ding gives us a mesmerizing OST again for The Long Ballad, as she did for Ashes of Love.
All these supports from K’s fanbase...
Imagine how more exuberant we would have been if he had actually made it through the final selection...
Happy birthday K!!!
We will always be here, waiting for you debut!!!

I was like “Damn dude! You’re dirty!!”
NEVER!!!
The “Si Feng’s After Effects” never really go away...
LOL
As a supporting cast, she did so well in Arsenal Military Academy.
I really thought Dance of the Sky Empire would be a walk in the park for her.

I forgot about this one.
I completely agree with you too.

Poor thing was burned out... Lol
There is no brotherly love or kinship between the brothers.
I swear if I didn’t know that he was a legitimate younger son of their parents, I would have thought that he is the son of a concubine or something...
I don’t know why all those side-story-cdrama-fillers always make the younger brother’s characters sort of unlikable.
Through and through.
They don’t make them like that.
Oh yeah, that is why Si Feng is fictional and Xianxia...
Bummer!
I was intrigued by this poster even before L&R was released.
So whimsical...
You will be so mad later for not watching it right away...
LOL
Is not amusing at all.
Other than that, interesting storyline with decent actors and actresses.
