I am just about to drop this. The FL in Love Like a Galaxy… That was some good writing and a truckload of great sassiness. Even with her character being at the tender age of 15 years old… The FL’s character here is simply annoying, unamusing and borderline obnoxious.
First, I really love… I mean that I really really really love Zheng Ye Cheng’s acting style, stage presence, charisma and performances. And the man always looks mighty dashing in costume dramas. Whether, how low or how high the production budgets might be… We can be sure that Zheng Ye Cheng will always bring his A game, exactly like Leo Wu with his own released productions.
On the other hand, we have Crystal Yuan… She is like a cereal toy… We never know what we are going to get from her… For me, her acting style is too unpredictable. I found her persona too stiff and too unrelatable in Ever Night 1 and in Listening Snow Tower. However, I loved her performance in Love and Redemption. Here in My Sassy Princess, as unpredictable as ever; her acting is not that well executed and the writing behind her character is simply obnoxious.
I am giving this low budget costume drama one more episode; solely because of Zheng Ye Cheng… If the FL’s acting and the writing behind her character remain unchanged… Then, that is a DROP for me.
On one hand; we have the dashing, the sexy and the ever so charming XuXu… On the other hand; the storyline, the supposedly villain/big brother and the general acting are simply idiotic…
What to do? Keep on watching the drama for XuXu and wishing that the FL was instead, the villain/big brother’s little sister who freshly came back from abroad and not the uninteresting and immature actual FL. So sad, this series could have been really good.

It is unfortunate that the Korean film industry most definitely favors the stereotypical, copycat-molded and popular Asian looking actors… Therefore, Yoon Kyun Sang is too normal looking for them. So the great projects are harder for him to get; compared to his stereotypical counterparts… Very unfortunate, Indeed. However, I still love him to pieces.
