I tried to watched it but I dropped it, it was so silly and frustrating to watch. The only good thing in it is…
Because I had watched the original Japanese version before the Korean remake.
I didn’t enjoy it at all. It felt very tamed and very much catered to the mainstream.

EAW and AOS, didn't know we would get 2 masterpieces around the same time.
I am not sure about EAW…
It feels like a recycled storyline of the “Good Doctor” in a judicial format.
Even, we made a copy of it in the States. And it is not as good as the original Korean version.
For now, I placed EAW on hold.

Me too. I place it on hold. Is it just me… I feel that Seo In Guk has not been lucky at all with his selection of televised dramas’ projects?
The only film that I fully enjoyed from him recently was “Pipeline.”
They should have made it into a drama instead of a movie.

I watched Link till 8 or 9 episodes, it's a medicore drama with slow paced thriller and romance. It's on hold…
I am happy that I am not the only one. All the currently airing Kdramas seem so lethargic compared to AOS.
So much so that I am watching animes to pass the time while waiting for my thrilling weekend dose of AOS.

I used to say that the Chinese film industry is great at making Wuxia, Xianxia, Xuanhuan and historical period…
In a nutshell…
Everything jazzed in Alchemy of Souls…
🤣😅😂

The cast, acting, storyline, romance, comedy, direction, lines and the hype this drama has made me raise my drama…
I used to say that the Chinese film industry is great at making Wuxia, Xianxia, Xuanhuan and historical period dramas…
While the Korean film industry excels at contemporary and modern productions (Because in the recent years, their Sageuk productions have been very much subpar, to say the least)…
Alchemy of Souls is making me rethink my whole perception.

I never thought that they could create again, a Sageuk as exciting as Jumong.
I don’t want to jinx anything; however so far, the entire production is a joy to watch.

it's a slow burn but very captivating!
Very.
You can feel the intense electricity in the air… Even when they are bickering like children🤣

Ahhhh…
That’s right. I knew that I felt some Hotel Del Luna’s vibes in the writing.
Quirky funny and intelligent like, Joy of Life's smart comedy…
Good to know.

The best thing of this show is How interesting the character of Lee Jae - Wook's is. I mean you expect typical…
Bingo!
It’s a modern-ancient-Wuxia Sageuk.
It reminds me a bit of Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain.

Same! This is my favorite Sageuk after Mr.Queen.
The funny thing, after my disappointment with Lovers of the Red Sky…
I did not have any expectations whatsoever for Alchemy of Souls…
I love when I get these sorts of wonderful surprises🤣
I absolutely love the entire cast. And I just can’t get over the witty and the quirky writing.

Person Lee Jae Wook
Absolutely Agree 💯 even the character name Jang Wook (Uk) probably might come from Jae Wook.
I would not be surprised if it was the case.
His complete portrayal of Jang Uk just jazzed… Effortlessly…

Best Sageuk since Mr. Queen.
Witty, quirky, thrilling…
An exaggerated mix of satire enveloped in a sort of Chinese/Korean Wuxia format.
I am enjoying every second of it.
2 episodes per weekend do not satisfy my weekly thirst.

The male lead role that he is playing in Alchemy of Souls was created, made and written solely for Lee Jae Wook.

Person Lee Jae Wook
I just learned more about how committed and dedicated Jae Wook was for Alchemy of Souls. He approached to AOS…
Well, it was all worth it.
His dedication and his perseverance are radiating through out the male lead role.
He is simply killing it in Alchemy of Souls!

You know when you are getting confused between a character and an actor…
That is when you know an actor was made for that specific character and vice versa…
Ning Que was made for Chen Feiyu… It is literally undeniable.

On Yoon Kyun Sang Jun 26, 2022
I have waited 2 years to watch Yoon Kyun Sang on the small screen again and he definitely did not disappoint in “Rose Mansion;” even though, the storyline itself could have been better.
I am glad to see him venturing outside of his comfort zone.
You have all of my support… You… Adorable Giant Teddy Bear…

What can I say about that weird version of “Strangers from Hell”…
I very much loved that lovable, tormented, complicated Park Min Soo’s character.
As always, Yoon Kyun Sang nailed the role… Of course, the Korean film industry will never bestow him any awards for that role because their so-called awards only go to their stereotypical pearly-skinned-flower-boys-look-alike actors🤨.
So no expectations on that one…WHATSOEVER!

It's probably because he has a strong bone structure and a chiseled jawline. Lee Chi Ting is the second male actor…
Yeahhhhh…
They are used to their soft-pearly-skinned-flower-boys’ features…
They get confused by manly features🤣🤣🤣
