I completely agree with you. I don’t quite comprehend why this drama has such a low rating. For me, taking it as the first part of, hopefully, a longer storyline drama… It was well made. How we interpret human’s laws, religious and dogmatic beliefs differ from one person to the next.
What I am getting from that entire synopsis is… If anyone (Loved ones or not) is willing to die for or with the condemned person (Like that innocent newborn baby)… Then, there is still salvation for humanity. Thus, with the selfless sacrifice of that young couple for their baby; the past condemned ones are coming back to life.
I think that was a great premise for the next season.
...I knew I'd regret watching this as it is going on and I do regret it...Kieta HatsukoiUtsukushii KareBad Buddy...…
You know a show is good… When you don’t mind watching it on Y..Tube, even-though; each episode is divided into 4 parts. The chemistry, the synergy and the dynamic between Pran and Pat’s characters are perfect. If it weren’t for their respective friends and parents, the writing and the storyline could have easily gave “I Told Sunset About You” a run for their money.
That first episode was a bit shaky… However, the second episode is so much better. They most definitely got my interest. Really good chemistry and really good synergy between our 2 boys. For some reasons, I am getting a SOTUS + Addicted’s vibes from our 2 boys.
Totally agree with you most of the novaland series have sad or open ending that I don't want
I really don’t mind a non-happy ending since most Chinese costume productions follow that formula… However, it is the forever nonsensical-complex Novoland’s storylines that have become a complete boredom for me.

I only watched the first 2 episodes so far… However from what I read; the first quarter is already following the old Novoland’s formula - Bland, complicated and a complete lack of chemistry between the 2 main leads.
I think that I will wait for the full completion before I go back.
If I am asked about my thoughts on this Korean BL short drama, my answer would go as follows… Jang Eui Soo was so yummy in it. His sexy and wavy curls were the best dish served at that Laura’s restaurant.
As for the rest… Well, I didn’t really payed much attention to the unclarified short storyline.
Except for William Chan’s mighty fine physique… (Love me a manly, muscular and virile physique😛😋☺️) There is not much to report on those first 2 episodes. Just one thing - The emperor is a fastidious ass who thinks the whole world revolves around him.
Well, let’s hope this Novoland does not follow the usual Novoland’s formula of complete-complex mess.
I heard Yi San with Lee Seo Jin was just ok, nothing amazing. I can’t Comment on that tho ,since never watched.
Lee San, Wind of the Palace is definitely one of my top classic Sageuks. It can’t be compared to those fluffy Sageuks that have been released lately. Of course, those few listed in my original comment are based on my personal likings.
It is always an extreme high-risk bargain when a wonderful classic is remade. Lee San, Wind of the Palace with extraordinary male lead actor like, Lee Seo-jin has always been part of my all-times favorite classic Sageuks… - Jumong - The Kingdom of the Winds - The Legend - Dong Yi - The Great Jang-Geum - Gye Baek - Iljimae - 6 Flying Dragons
So, it will be interesting to see if this newer generation with Lee Jun Ho is able to hold a candle to a classic Sageuk like… Lee San, Wind of the Palace.

This drama showed us how easily humans can be manipulated because of their fear of the unknown.

I just realized that there was a link here too.

🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
The only Novoland that ever made sort-of-sense to me is Novoland: The Castle in the Sky, season 1.
Master Fang and fastidious-ass’s emperor both die at the end; leaving her as the sole empress and pregnant.
Not really the kind of deep romance, reciprocating dynamic and heartfelt chemistry that I am looking in my main couple.
