I can not be the only one who is getting slightly exasperated with Pi... At this point, I just want Mork to stop chasing after Pi or trying to convince Pi about his feelings, all together. Call it tough love... I want Pi to experience what he would be missing if Mork stops paying any kind of attention to him.
Fyi: After Mork said “I will make you love me instead...” Then, he should have turned around and worked away without glancing back. It is time for Mork to make Pi yearn for him...
Interesting and unpredictable plot. Messy storyline. Very messy writing. The characters were not so likable. Although full of layers and complexities, the Bareum’s character, portrayed by Lee Seung Gi was somehow 60% to 40% convincing; in terms of transitioning between a psychopathic persona into a more repenting persona (Again, sorry Lee Seung Gi).
*My only and most favorite character in this psychological thriller had to be the young Bareum, portrayed by the young and talented Kim Kang-hoon. This kid-actor totally stole the show for me... He was 100% convincing in his performance and in his screen-delivery. I have had Kim Kang-hoon on my radar since Mr. Sunshine and he has not disappointed me in any of his projects, ever since.
The first 10 episodes felt like, that Bareum’s character was below Lee Seung Gi’s acting skills caliber. The later 10 episodes feel like, the double-brain transitional identity of this Bareum’s character might be the most challenging role in Lee Seung Gi’s repertoire.
*Either way, I am loving that he is challenging his acting ranges with this anti-hero/antagonist/protagonist character (All in one).
I will be watching this, only for Joseph Zheng. I want to see how much he has improved since his last Wuxia drama, Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre. Even though, this one is on a more fluffy side.
I did not care much for the romance and I did not watch it for that, neither. The psychological plots, whether they were supernatural or not... Those were the real essence for that drama, at least for me.
I thought Love Me, If You Dare was good with their big names cast and sufficient budget... Until I watched Journey Through the Night, with their obviously smaller budget. To me, that was a more cerebral psychological storyline and had a better execution... Even with a lesser known and a lesser popular cast.
They really should make a part 2 for Journey through the night. It was short but well executed. His psychologically transformed character in the last episodes... I never knew that Joseph Zheng had that kind of acting range in him.
I definitely have a soft spot for Joseph Zeng, with his huge puppy black eyes... So yes, this is a must watch for me. For some reasons, he reminds me of Elvis Han. A younger version of him.
I am not fortunate enough to know what real love is... However, I can tell what real love seems to look like... Wen Hao Sheng’s love for Liu Wan Ting/Liu Ting. It is beyond gender.
So this actor, Pan Yue Ming, will be carrying out the first male lead role in the next 4 to 5 Candle in the Tomb series? Interesting casting selection... His character’s depiction of Chen Yu Lou/Chen Xia Zi is pretty straightforward; however for me, he is missing charisma and stage presence. I am not, by any means, a fan of Vengo Gao but I am finding myself looking for his character, since his first scene appearance. This is the best Vengo Gao’s performance that I have watched. He basically stole the show from the ML.
*So far, among all of the Candle in the Tomb series that I have watched; the best first male lead character has to go to Hu Ba Yi, portrayed by Jin Dong.
not yet. he'll have to enlist in summer of 2021, before his birthday.
You are right. I think that it is exactly that. The Korean actresses are really lucky; they don’t have to take 2 years of hiatus. Then again, one can always improve their acting skills during those 2 years, like Lee Min-ho did.
he has so much range!! Always impressed how he can play so many type of characters!!
Completely Agreed. Even when he plays those anti-hero protagonist or antagonist characters... He still manages to insert some innocence within those layers. His ranges are getting better and better with each project.

Ahhhh... This summer. That what I thought; he was supposed to enlist this year. So I was not expecting any projects from him. I was surprised to see that he has a new drama coming out this month. I have to say, the best looking Gumiho that I have ever seen, after Choi Jin-hyuk in Gu Family Book.
I thought I read somewhere that he was supposed to start his military service this year? I really was not expecting any projects from him for the next 2 years. Well, I am glad we have “My Roomate is a Gumiho” soon to be released this month.
Jang Hyuk... The man with what dreams are made of... At least my dreams... Finally, as a real leading male in a historical setting. What was the last time, he was in a historical drama, not in a movie, not sort of a male lead but as a real first male lead? Shine or Go Crazy. That was too long, ago.
The good things in life are always so short. It was not a BL; however, it was a very strong bromance. Yi Liang’s character reminded me of Wei Wu Xian’s character from The Untamed... Unbridled and free-spirited.

Some of the jargons and raiders’s methods might be unfamiliar but they are basically similar to The Lost Tomb’s installments.
