Your whole comment was insulting people's intelligence because you disagree with them, so yeah that says a lot about what kind of person you are... The majority of people here quite understand JW's situation but don't excuse his bevahiour. Being hurt, sad or a victim of trauma doesn't give free pass to hurt other people.
Well, I understand the idea but I'm not fond of the execution. They repeated the same storyline 5 times with no romance development for Amai. They should have introduced his love interest earlier and made them become friends with Amai not knowing the truth...
my vegaspete analysis:we start with vegaspete banter in this episode which sets the stage for their dynamic. pete…
Thank you for your analysis. I completely agree. VP fans are so busy comparing the series to the novel, they forget to watch with open eyes and mind what is presented to them. Series VP is a stand alone that is well handled considering their screentime.
yall in the comments making mad, how are you so stupid to believe the the only one who's hurting is seo joon?…
There's always this person who think they're smarter than others. No one said JW isn't hurting. Read again the comments using your brain this time and you'll get it...
Nah, I love the friends-to-lovers trope but I didn't like this series. There's no chemistry and I didn't feel the love. There's no character depth, no character development. Sakura confesses his feelings to Yuma, the boys get together the next episode. They talk about liking each other but the script doesn't explore it. In these kind of stories, where one person (let's call them A) confesses to their childhood friend (let's call them B), it's important to show the shift from friends to lovers and most importantly you have to empathize that B's feelings for A are romantic and not a knee-jerk reaction in order to keep A in their life (thus maintaining the statu quo). Because we all know liking someone is not the same as being in love with someone... Here all these points are dealt quickly and without depth. The only thing I liked was the honesty between the guys (their respective confessions and the fact that they didn't create drama afterward). This series is more a teen slice of life drama than a romance.
Well at this point this is just mysery porn. They are just using all the ammunition they have to create implausible…
Thank you! You explained perfectly my issues with this season. Why would you break up with your lover over such reasons? Why not try to work it out together? Why not go to a psychologist to treat your issues in order to save your relationship? This whole plot is cheap asf.
So I've been goin through the comments here 90% of them saying that they shouldn't end up together cause JW said…
You have a point. Yet, I can see two differences with these two dramas: - Akira broke up with Yuuki properly. He didn't leave one morning with a note left on the table. He gave an explanation to Yuuki though it's one that might be seen as stupid for viewers. Unfortunately, Japan still don't really embrace queer people. It's also a society where you have to fit in, you can not go out of the box. So while Akira's decision was cruel to Yuuki, it was understandable. - Akira is an easy character. His pov is simple and his actions are easy to understand. You get what he says and why he says it. He doesn't spend multiple scenes hurting Yuuki like JiWoo has done to SeoJoon. That only is reason enough for people not wanting them to get back together.
I still don't understand Jiwoo. But I have a much better understanding of Seo Joon. I've always said he was doing…
SJ is easy to read. Even in season 1 you could understand his actions. I really love this character. He has this innocence, this nonchalant attitude but still he's caring and perceptive. SJ didn't have a easier life than JW: he also lost his parents (they're not dead but isn't it the same?) and he might have had a hard time to get where he's as a movie star. He could have been closed off emotionally like JW yet he's so open about his feelings. He's a bit of a narcissist and a pleaser but nobody is perfect lol. It's interesting to see how these two people with broken pasts ended up seeing and reacting to the world so differently.
I'm not sure I understanding what's going on with JW. Is it me or the writing is a bit confusing on that matter? What was that, the part about him leaving to hurt SJ? Him going to the countryside waiting for SJ to find him? I was pleased when SJ told JW he gave up. Yes, boy, pick up your self-esteem and go back to Seoul! I'm so hurt to say that but I don't want them to end up together. SJ deserves better.
I'm also disappointed in HDS's take on season 2. It's a complete 180° from season 1 athmosphere. I believe she could have written this story of breakup and heartbreak with less gloom and without destroying JW's character. I'm never gonna ask for a season 2. I'm scarred for life.
BL targets females. It is clear a lot of viewers don't know gays! Please go meet some gays! There are no SJ in…
Nothing to do with being gay. In real life, man or woman, straight or LGBTQ+ there are many people so in love they're willing to do anything to keep their lover or to get back with them. They lose their self-esteem and confidence in the process (if they had any to begin with) . Psychology has nothing to do with sexual orientation. Your comment is unwarranted and I bet you wouldn't be saying this if you had liked the series.
I think they should have thrown in some moans and a little more expressions in to set the mood but they kept the…
I share the same opinion. I feel Bible was more into it than Build whose face was quite blank (considering what was being done to Pete, I expected more reaction). I'm not judging them, I understand it's a very difficult scene to act.
So, i'm back again with my weekly rant because the backhanded comments and toxicity i've seen after this episode…
Thank you! How hard is it to understand the series can't be the same as the novel? How hard is it to adjust your expectation to reality so you can enjoy what you're watching? At this point, people (VP fans mostly) are just being mean for the sake of it. They ask for something and when they get it they complain about this or that. There's no way to satisfy them.
Many people didn't like MODC because of the storyline execution : there were valid criticism about the pacing,…
I was here following the comments when the series was airing. The good rating doesnt' mean people didn't have complains about it. Not loving a series doesn't mean you're a hater. Such a weak argument lol. You just showed you're pueril and not smart enough for constructive discussion.
My favourite BL of all time, full stop. I hate some people who underrated this drama because they wanted a happy…
Many people didn't like MODC because of the storyline execution : there were valid criticism about the pacing, HaoTing sudden feelings for XiGu, the infamous trope of the victim liking his bully, the time jump after XG's death and the weird doppleganger. So it's not just about the ending. To each their own, but don't pretend people who don't like MODC are just salty about the ending.
I think they should have thrown in some moans and a little more expressions in to set the mood but they kept the…
The BGM was unfortunate but even so it would have worked if we had facial expressions and one or two graphic shots (like in Pornographer). I don't think it's an issue with the directing since they knew what to do for KP. Either it's a deliberate choice for VP (a strange one) or the actors were not comfortable enough to let go of their inhibition and they had to edit the scene the best they could.
