Because we're reporting a user for posting several hateful and troll comments on pages where Han So Hee is mentioned? This isn't allkpop or twitter/X, those are the places to go for those with lots of hatred and too much time on their hands
Well, this old Ajumma always loves to see him on screen. I thought he did a wonderful job in My Dearest. I left…
Wrong. That would be Allkpop. At least on X you can still choose channels and posts you get on your feed. I've only found two toxic comments in this thread, but that's probably because I've already blocked toxic commentators from previous threads. The comment sections on my end seems a lot more clean and peaceful since.
It started out strong, and I love how they made a parody of cliche tropes but honestly, they really should've gone all in. And with all in, I mean water-splashing and money bribing MIL, amnesia, white truck of doom, etc. The humor went downhill as the story progressed.
I'm really bored with Kdramas right now. It's the same trope rewashed over and over again. I believe the last kdrama I've properly watched (and not speedwatch them) is Daily Dose of Sunshine. I love the depth of the story and characters, the growth of the flawed protagonist, the non-toxic ML and the healthy approach to mental health. The same with Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Hospital Playlist. I really want to watch drama's I can relate to and where I've got that feeling that the writers and PD did their research into topics approached in Kdramas and have decently written out characters. And not where I go like, your character is rather bland but hey, good for you, you found your rich atorney/doctor/lawyer/CEO prince charming who's got nothing on him except his stacked LinkdIn profile and just brood in the corner, or, oh so all you need was to get rich to solve your issues, alright. Most stories they mass-produce nowadays are so uninspiring.
I think it's safe to say that 99% of people using this site, and into Asian dramas, are not like that. One can…
Might just be me, but honestly, that's a bit of a stretch. It just means, your comments seem to be the longer versions of damning comments of knetz who also can't see the difference between a monster and someone who had fallen into a drug addiction or made some mistake simply by being human.
The reason certain systems are left behind is not just because they don't work; they are disadvantageous and detrimental. If a country can't leave them behind, that's where its progress stops.
There's more merit in properly helping a drug addict get back at their feet, rather than pushing them down even further. I've personally seen such ppl turn into the best parts of society simply because they were given the tools (including decent employment) to get their life together and had a support system that believed in them, helped them develop self-respect and encouraged them to explore their potential. Such systems can even prevent ppl from falling into an addiction. Doing the opposite helps no one at all.
And by the way, it's actually rather condescending to think that mentioning a person making mistakes or hitting rock bottom means such ppl are inferior to you. Honestly?! Dude, normalize being human. Putting on a front is actually detrimental for your mental health. Pretending to be a flawless being is even worse.
Anyway, you do you, but try to keep this in mind: lack of empathy and understanding will often come bite us back โ at the moment we need it the most. Just sayin.

What a brilliantly twisted perspective! I did not know showing empathy and understanding equals feeling special and superior. I canโt even begin to understand how you manage to understand my comment into thinking that actors read comments on MDL, lol. Man, why did I even bother to comment to someone who doesnโt even make any sense.

Amazing.
The more I read your comments, the more I understand the pressure celebs face that drive them to suicide and drugs. The difference between a dangerous criminal and a person in need of help seems lost on you.
"he's an actor and I like him your honour, let him off - you coward, don't waste this opportunity". No. He's a human being in need of help, as clearly shown by the mistakes he made. And what, instead of giving him the help he needs, he must be condemned, his dignity stripped away even more, throw away his potential so it'll be more difficult to get back on his feet? Woah.
And that's what this comment section is saying. But make yourself feel good about your perspective which most of the advanced countries have moved away from several decades ago by calling us supremacists.
Far from our house, eh? You make it sound like we ain't got our own drug abusers in our corner of the earth. Let me tell you this: pushing someone even more to ground when they've hit rock bottom doesn't help anybody. It just shows how inhuman you are.
South Korea entered the global market, but because it happened in South Korea, the rest of world โ which SK decided as their target for financial gain โ isn't allowed to condemn what they see as wrong? Lol, how hypocritical.
Dude ! The movie is a melodrama. They even sell it as melodrama. I think u bought the wrong product.
Melodrama or not, it's hard to watch when much of your country is being portrayed wrong and unrealistic on so many levels. Just like if ppl would shoot a movie in Thailand as a setting for Seoul, or the way k-drama's keep portraying the countries of Africa as backwards and poor.
DISCLAIMER :OK I am Late to the DS Party .. and OFFICIALLY declaring myself a PARTY-POOPER ..So those who will…
Love your review. I feel the same way. I dropped it after 2 or 3 eps. I don't feel like this series is approaching mental health in an appropriate way, seeing and reading how much the leads are binging on alcohol and other lazy writing elements/lack of research. There's enough misunderstanding around mental health issues, and I feel like this drama only adds to it. Thanks for writing your thoughts on this.
The comments point out the obvious. That S. Korean entertainment industry promotes fake and unachievable "beauty"…
Photoshoots are always photoshopped, as well as most pics celebs put on their socials. That's always been obvious to me. And at this moment, S.K isn't about to change their beauty standards, so kudos to those who despite their age are surviving in such a harsh and demanding environment.
Anyways, I saw the pics on IG (michaachannel) and they're beautiful ๐ Song Hye Kyo will always be a fine example to me of overcoming adversities in such a beautiful and graceful way. And honestly though, she looks amazing for her age.
Hey, thanks for pointing that out. Indeed, new research suggested otherwise, but the awareness of this is not widespread yet. Thanks for encouraging me to research it, I really appreciate that.

Her down-to-earth and easy-going personality are well captured here.

Have a good day, and try to troll too much.
