OMG I love Dylan Wang soooooo much! He’s just so friggin adorable! And you can absolutely tell he’s a brat in real life. I swear every single time I see him I love him more!
SPOILERS PLEASE! Most people hate them. I love them -particularly when dealing with Asian dramas. I’ve seen some really good ones from @Ingrid for several other dramas. Just something simple like what episode the main couple gets together, when they share their first kiss, any breakups (if so how long does it last) etc. Can someone hook a girl up?
I’m only on episode 2 but I hope this drama explains relatively quickly WHY the FL doesn’t seem to ever stand up for herself. She’s clearly unhappy about the way those close to her treat her but WHY doesn’t it seem like she ever stands up for herself. She may say what she thinks here or there but in a way that makes it clear she already knows her words will be ignored. That’s so unhealthy. Usually there’s a reason why people are like that.
To me, It is difficult to watch. I'm on Ep 23 and there's not that much viewer reward in watching it. There are…
I meant to watch The Rational Life before so I appreciate the reminder. Had been waiting for that one to wrap up but then I forgot about it. How the hell could I forget Dylan Wang!!! Blasphemy! LOL! I love him!

Yes that’s the one. It’s the only somewhat up in the air ending I can think of that I haven’t had a problem with. I even understood the main couple’s breakup prior to the make up near the end. I think Search: WWW was really well written and the actors all did amazing jobs.
I’m about to finish it again tonight so I was already trying to think of what to watch next so thank you for mentioning The Rational Life! I think that’ll be what I check out next while I wait for Win the Future to wrap up.
I seriously feel like I hit the jackpot with you! 😁
Holy shit I had no idea he was this young! He’s soooooo talented. *Cough cough* like that’s really all I noticed *cough* 😂 Okay I’ll just say it. The man is sexy as hell. He doesn’t even try! Even when he’s adorable he’s sexy. Someone said ‘charismatic’ and I couldn’t agree more. But seriously, his talent is off the charts.

Me too! I love Luo Yun Xi. I haven’t seen Broker yet but I totally get what you mean. The thing is, he does a fantastic job in all his roles. It’s just the dramas themselves that are written well enough.
I’m so glad you told me about Win the Future. I’ll definitely check it out. I don’t ever watch dramas when they’re still airing though so if it is I’ll have to wait. I’m a total binge-watcher as I have zero patience to wait for another episode 😂 and I always check to make sure my dramas have happy endings before I start. I can’t spend hours watching something only for the characters I love to die in the end or otherwise have a completely disappointing/ unsatisfactory ending. That’s just not for me.
Keep the recommendations coming though! I’m rewatching Search: WWW now simply because I couldn’t figure out what else to watch and I remembered enjoying it before. It’s been a long time though so I don’t remember much. So far so good though.
How is it that no one’s commenting on how completely ridiculous the sister’s acting was? I think some of the disgust on Ming Hao’s face when he looked at her was legit because of how bad that chick’s acting was. Forget FL. She could win awards compared to that dang sister. It was so bad you could almost believe you’re watching a parody.

Honestly for me it’s not so much that it’s bad. It’s all very interesting and dramatic. The problem is the rhythm of the entire drama just suddenly switches. The 1st 20 episodes are a really enjoyable blend of laughter, romance and intrigue. This is clearly what the viewers who have been enjoying thus far were in the mood for and they were doing a REALLY damn good job of providing us.
All of a suddenly those things all completely disappear and it’s like you’re watching an entirely different kind of drama filled with a whole lot of angst and a shit ton of frustration. If that’s what we’d tuned in for and been watching this far it would actually have been pretty well done. But it was a COMPLETE switch in gears and they gave viewers no relief mixed in.
It may have been tolerable for a couple of episodes but they did this for 1/3 of the damn drama. It completely messes with your vibe and makes it super frustrating.
I think maybe if you’re prepared for it you might be able to enjoy those parts better because it’s not actually bad, just not a good fit for what we’d been watching and enjoying

You nailed it. There’s no viewer relief whatsoever. And it stands out too because for the first 20 episodes you get a really nice mix of romance, comedy and intrigue. Then BAM everything else disappears and we’re slammed with a ton of nothing but angst. Maybe it would have been tolerable for a couple of episodes but it’s been constant from ep 21 on.

Okay so I think my biggest issue is how long they’re already dragging out this whole deal with Ming Hao. 2-3 episodes max would have been in line with the previous pacing of the drama. It’s like a switch flipped that has totally changed the feel from exciting and intriguing with a little funny and a lot of cute thrown in, but they pretty much completely drop all of those things and suddenly bombard us with a bunch of angst and ugly behavior. The ugliness has completely consumed the drama (affecting all of the characters) by the end of episode 25 and people are saying there are 4 or 5 more episodes like this to come? What the hell? At least throw in some of the other stuff to keep your audience from purely focusing on the damn whiplash you’ve given us!
Read a few more comments and think I’m getting the gist of things.
Morals and ethics don’t exist with him. Not at all. A lawyer with that personality is scary. And if he tries to use the excuse that it’s out of love for her (i.e. a sickening and frightening obsession) that’s a damn lie because he’s like that in every aspect of his life.
Yes, he got even worse🤣. Fortunately I watched him first in other series that I couldn't hate him for real…
Thank you! I’ve been wondering where the hell else I knew him from. I know I don’t normally hate him to this level but here he makes me want to punch him in the throat. Lol! I literally want to beg him to do a poorer job of acting just to spare my aggravated nerves.
I love how they tastefully deal with disability. K-dramas could never make an amputee in a wheelchair the lead…
I had the same thought too! I really loved how they handled that with him and also with the girl with the hearing problem. I was truly impressed. Even Western shows don’t handle it as well.
waitt... he didn't have the key tho... it'll be useless if he wasting time on it
The lock was one that you spin to close, like the ones for doors on submarines. No key was needed. The guy didn’t have a key when he locked them in there.
I desperately need someone to spoil these next few episodes for me so that I can properly prepare myself for the frustration. It’s more aggravating when I don’t know how long I have to grit my teeth through sickening behavior.
I’m midway through ep 24. Could someone please summarize the next few episodes until we’re past all the angst?
