IMO it's too silly. The acting of the FL is terrible, and the storyline isn't engaging. I dropped it at episode…
I agree with you about the FL’s acting. It’s driving me nuts. I’m only on episode 5 now but I’m going to try to stick it out. I already think it would hold my attention more if it wasn’t progressing so slowly but with 40 episodes in all I’m not surprised at the slow pace.
I normally binge-watch all of my dramas but this may end up being my first time taking periodic breaks in between so that I’m able to enjoy it all the way through. I think trying to watch it all at once is the wrong way to go. Unless things start to pick up soon binge-watching is completely out of the question.
No ideas for what to watch next though (or in between rather). Therein lies my conundrum 😂
Okay so I’m almost finished rewatching this and I have to say some people SERIOUSLY overreact to certain aspects of the drama. None of the ML’s bad behavior was ever expressed to be okay BUT it makes complete sense for a woman who’s as forgiving and selfless (to the point of sometimes just being flat out stupid as fuck) to be willing to forgive his crazy and overbearing and bullyish behavior because she loves him AND only when she sees that he sincerely changed his ways, not just with his words but with his actions. Some viewers completely missed/or ignored that - which was the whole point! The man was raised by someone who not only acted that way with everyone around him, but who also purposely taught him to behave that way and believe it was right. FL was what finally made him see how wrong he had been and he fixed it immediately after finally understanding how much he’d really hurt her.
That’s commendable! It doesn’t deserve all this damn consternation it’s been getting since this aired.
Of course no one would agree with the things that man did and FL didn’t either so stop behaving like she did. The first sign of him not having really changed she moved right back out again. But they were MARRIED so of course she’d want to at least TRY to figure out how to forgive him so they could try to get past it. She even made it clear that continuing to behave the way he was, was making it hard for her to even do that much. Only when he finally understood how wrong he’d been did she finally agree to give him a chance. And he didn’t damn let her down.
That’s what MARRIAGE is! If he didn’t change its clear she would have left him. Y’all need to stop trippin’.
Rewatching this because it’s been a long time since I watched it.
No woman I know would willing go into a strangers house the way she did and they DEFINITELY wouldn’t be all up in his house cooking him a meal the way she did. She met the man ONE other time when she bought a tie from him. That had to be written by a man. Basic self preservation would raise all kinds of red flags for a female. That’s just asking to be raped or kidnapped or otherwise attacked/abused.
I must say I like the sense of style in this drama. Not the typical frumpy, non-figure-enhansing and drab crappy clothing we usually see in Chinese dramas. No crazy hairstyles. Badass shoes. Even the jackets and things like the jewelry ML wore stood out. Whoever styled them in this drama did a fantastic job.
So this just came to NETFLIX. Is it good, much romance, how's the chemistry between the leads, any love triangles,…
Oh! I also forgot to mention I LOVE that the got together really early in the drama (I hate when shows drag out the main couple getting together) and that they show them having a mature relationship (not one where just hand holding is a huge deal). They eventually even sleep together. And there are lots of kids scenes and not that stupid standing there with their mouths pressed together crap. The first kisses were chaste but it played well because they were new and she’s completely inexperienced.

I’m watching this now and I’m still amazed at how much I like this drama. I’m just on ep 31 now. This is pure romance.
I HATE love triangles, never watch anything that doesn’t have a happy ending and am fine with breakups if they make sense and aren’t drug out. This drama does have a significant love triangle but it actually enhances the story instead of turning me off. It helps us appreciate and understand the ML’s feelings for the FL more, which is important since his character keeps a tight hold on his thoughts and emotions.
I didn’t start this until I made sure there was a happy ending first. There’s a breakup but it was handled really, really well and they didn’t drag it out unnecessarily.
The show does a fantastic job of going deep enough into each situation to keep you engrossed, without dragging shit out and causing unnecessary frustration while you wait for issues to get resolved. The pacing and timing is just right.
The FL does the best portrayal of a young, pure, innocent and naive girl I think I’ve seen. They keep saying she’s done (and she’s constantly calling herself dumb) but she really isn’t. She’s pure. She’s not AT ALL annoying. She’s ridiculously charming and cute.
I love the feeling of simplicity the drama brings even though a lot actually happens. It’s not at all boring but it’s also not unnecessarily complex nor do they and stuff to the story just to stir things up.
The main couple is surprisingly cute and adorable. It’s surprising because the way they interact at first made you feel like they’d be super awkward for a while before you’d see any cuteness but nope. They were immediately natural and sweet. And even that transition was done so well it surprised me, in a good way.
Can I just saw how much I dislike the best friend’s husband? He just keeps getting worse and worse! Jeez! And all she does is throw tantrums so of course he doesn’t take her seriously but damn!
This one is a good show but I won't say the best. If you're looking for a Romance drama then this ain't for you…
Hi. I’m on episode 12 now and I was wondering how much longer they’ll continue to beat around the bush with this whole situation where her boss is basically using “work” as an excuse to date her? When do they make things clear for her to address it directly. She’s playing a dangerous game as it is. The boss seems like a decent and upstanding man so I don’t see him taking advantage of her but with someone else this could definitely take a serious turn for the worse.
Can someone please tell me how long this whole thing where she continuously allows her boss to take advantage of his position, using “work” as an excuse to basically date her is going to continue? I’m on episode 12 now. When do they stop beating around the bush and confront the issue?
I’m on ep 9 and the words that came out of FL’s best friend’s husband mouth had me yelling, “Oh hell no!” He’s lost his damn mind. To hell with that. Have a kid with a man who can say that kind of stuff to you? Not a chance in hell. Why isn’t she leaving yet? Divorce papers would have been in front of him the next day. Damn!
OMG I love Dylan Wang soooooo much! He’s just so friggin adorable! And you can absolutely tell he’s a brat in real life. I swear every single time I see him I love him more!

I’m really, really, really enjoying this.
