Two things.1. MDL did a site wide cleanse that got rid of a lot of spam/bot accounts, and fake accounts. It turned…
1. I mean, I've always felt that MDL ratings were too high compared to other ratings website as IMDB. People on MDL so easily give all 10's on everything. Better than Viki, where the ratings are even more biased.
2. I don't want to discourage you, I just gave an explanation. If you don't know about Kim Seon Ho, this would be the drama to fall for him. His acting in this one is quite intense and has caused him to be an overnight Hallyu star.
Someone is trying to remove the "unhealthy relationship" tag. As I did not watch this, can someone elaborate on…
The unhealthy relationship tag, as mentioned by Polo749, is not something that I think the showrunners are trying to achieve. But due to it being 2020 now, and how relationship dynamics has changed, what may have been viewed as romantic and normal relationship 10-20 years ago, is now viewed as toxic and unhealthy. Of course in the end, this is the opinion of the fans of the show.
Let me quickly run down the reasons the relationship between the ML and FL is considered unhealthy.
First Stop is Codependency
This is the Wikipedia Definition Codepency
Codependency is a relationship imbalance where one person enables another person's addiction, poor mental health, immaturity, irresponsibility, or under-achievement.
The relationship of the ML and FL fits these criteria to be considered a codependence relationship. If you want an in-depth Episodic example of each criteria, send me a PM, and I can show you when these criteria has manifested. The following criteria are:
People Pleasing - Yes Lack of Boundaries - Yes Poor Self - Esteem - Yes Caretaking - Yes Reactivity - Yes Poor Communication - Yes Lack of Self Image - Yes Dependency - Yes
Once again to avoid spoilers, send me a PM, if you want me to explain this further. But a lot of women were aghast with this scene, and would probably divorce/break up with a guy who did this.
Fifth Stop is Manipulative Tendencies of the ML
Once again to avoid spoilers, send me a PM, if you want me to explain this further.
In conclusion, the ML has shown to be a manipulative, violent, and often acts with emotion rather than rational. These flaws are not addressed by the show, but instead romanticized, and in the fans opinions this is not ok. Because these personality traits of the ML, would be seen as scary, and would often lead to abusive relationships, and a power imbalance between couples. I get it this is Kdrama, but doesn't mean the fans cannot criticize when a show is pushing an archaic model of relationship to it's viewers, who are continually getting smarter and slowly gaining more and more agency from Kdrama writers.
I did not add the unhealthy relationship Tag, but I do agree with it. If the one who is attempting to remove it, can come up with an equally compelling argument, I am all ears. From my understanding the position of the tag is based on votes. Shouldn't the fact that it sits as first on description tags speak volumes?
It may not go down much if at all. Out of 7,000 ratings, a whopping 22% of them rated the show 10/10. That is…
Interesting fact. Similar 2020 dramas like Dododsol, ROY, and etc.. that are rated in the mid to high 7's only have 11-13% 10/10 ratings. The only other show in the 7's that has over 20% all 10's is TKEM. And we know that is mostly because of the popularity of LMH.
So who knows how things will end up. I think 7.9 is the proper rating for this show.
Wow what happened to this drama? I remember it had a rating of close to 9, did it turn sour at some point?Beyond…
Two things.
1. MDL did a site wide cleanse that got rid of a lot of spam/bot accounts, and fake accounts. It turned out the number of people who were rating shows all 10's to bring the rating up, far outnumbered the number of people rating the show all 1's to bring the show down. So, most shows went down anywhere from .2 - .5 points down.
2. This show started really great in the first few episodes, and possibly warranted the 9 at the time. But after about episode 6, there is a huge dip in quality, and the ML became more and more unjustifiable. So the ratings steadily went down, week per week.
Lots of keyboard warriors on MDL.
Keyboard warriors going at it.
How the mom, just completely forgot her daughter, and the daughter and grandma just forgives the mom for abandoning them in a span on half an episode.
To how, nobody in the family communicates, and there are so many skeletons in the closet.
But hey, it's Kdrama, it's not suppose to make sense. We are suppose to use our imaginations to bridge imaginary plot points.
Meh, let's not stoop to their level. Leave it as is. It's pure comedy, best male lead is capitalized too.
This is clearly the work of NJH fans. Looks like LMH stans have some competition now.
The fanaticism of some people who just can't take no for an answer LOL.
Oh well, idc, just funny...
These NJH fans think we really care what the tags say. I find it funny.

I've written on this point extensively, here, and to avoid spoilers, I implore you to view the link instead.

It was a good run though!
When you watch a show, and you placed so much hype in your mind, only for the show to not reach the hype, your disappointment multiplies.
So who knows how things will end up. I think 7.9 is the proper rating for this show.
So yeah, this may be the final rating when all is said and done. Unless MDL does another cleanse of all the bots/fake accounts.

I can only watch Netflix shows, but I hear some are watching true beauty and uncanny encounter.
I think in 2021, he has a brand new theatrical play, you should try to get into that one. I am sure that will also be sold out lol!
