AFAIK "pure love" doesn't refer to some kind of western "purity" stuff, it means love that's just for love's sake, not for secondary reasons like pleasing your parents or making babies. That's what I said, using traditional characters makes sense if it isn't going to be aired in mainland China. Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, the Chinese-speaking population in Singapore, Malaysia etc. all use traditional characters. It's like demonstrating "we're really not targeting the mainland Chinese audience, honest!"
