Why are u acting like Minato is the devil encarnated? The only thing hes been doing is caring for Tsumugi. Also,…
That's what OP said they were *scared* might happen (not what has actually happened), because they don't want it to happen that way, so maybe you misread their post?
2nd ep - thanks Viki TL team! - still very good. I love the flow. There's probably going to be some heartache…
Itagaki Rihito who plays the little brother was also in Colourful Love where he played a "genderless" boy--I think "genderless" here actually means something more like "androgynous", like in "genderless fashion"--so I think there is definitely a conscious style choice there. Yutaro (another actor who likes to play with gender tropes in his fashion choices) was in this documentary about that fashion trend : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrYJE1sFVd8
I didn't watch the series yet, but part of the condom thing is to normalise using them, since everyone can *say*…
I see your point. I agree that it's unfair that they aren't the norm in straight love stories. Personally I think they should be the norm in any new real life relationship, regardless of gender and whatever birthcontrol either participant might be on in a straight coupling, simply because they are the best protection against STDs as well as pregnancy. And I may be cynical and jaded but I wouldn't trust a person I didn't know all that well to tell the truth in the throes of lust. But maybe I've just met some shitty people.
The risk of having HIV or an STD without having ever had sex is very small (at least outside of certain places in the world) but not zero. But yes, it's negligible, and if conception is not an issue and you can be 100% certain that you're both virgins then sure, condoms are really unnecessary.
Something we have not discussed that I wanted to bring up was the very brief moment when the girl went over to…
I didn't watch the series yet, but part of the condom thing is to normalise using them, since everyone can *say* that they are virgins or faithful or whatever, but mistakes happen, people are flawed, not everyone is honest 100% percent of the time, and having to ask for protection could be very hard since you might come across as paranoid or suspicious or "unromantic", and it would put the pressure on the wrong person. I'd say once people are in a lasting, committed, exclusive relationship it's a different matter but if barebacking is the norm, then more people will get hurt and STDs and HIV will spread. It doesn't matter that both of them might be virgins, it's just how it's done, until or unless you make an active, sober and consensual decision to dispense with that protection. So I don't think using rubbers will "make you cheat"--if you're a cheater, you will cheat anyway. But at least using condoms will protect you and your partners.
I believe this is the same as the short called "His Cat: Extra Chapter" on GagaOoLala (even though it is obviously not connected to His Cat at all, just the same actors)
Had to drop it bc the actors clearly didn't know how to handle cats and it was making me nervous :/
I get what you mean. It wasn't enough for me to drop it, but yeah. The way people handle cats in dramas tends to set my teeth on edge. Also, that was not a two-year old cat. More like a ten-week old kitten!
Taiwan's have slipped and are no longer good like We Best Love1 or HIStory, but dang, they still are not as bad…
Blueming and especially Semantic Error were absolute bangers, but South Korea have put out some subpar BLs too, sadly. Behind Cut and Oh Boarding House were so boring that I dropped them halfway, and let's not mention the train wreck that was season 2 of Color Rush (though season 2 of To My Star was, IMO, even better than season 1, which had been one of my favourite KBLs up until then). But I guess it's a result of greater volume--the more BLs that are made, the greater the chance that some of them are excellent but also that some of them are terrible. (YMMV, of course. )
Loved the first episode! Where can I find the manga?
It's online under various names, "Minato Shouji Coin Laundry", "Wash My Heart!", "Minato Shoji Koinrandori". Not sure if there is an official English translation in shops...
Apparently they just wrapped filming. According to AvenueX this drama will have pretty historically accurate costumes for the time period, which most historical C-dramas don't really bother with!

I hope it won't be as bad as TC... but I'm not keeping my hopes up...
