I'm assuming that Yin and War aren't part of this production (thankfully) and they didn't dare bring in some other unknown actors to play them when YinWar are so loved and entrenched as Vee and Mark in the viewers' minds.

This person is going to keep getting misgendered because there is no correct gender option for them on MDL.

I think that's the character they call Nice, which sounds the same as Night when pronounced in Thai, maybe spelled the same way too, and it looks like MTL subs so maybe that's why?

I watched the first episode and it was so hard because of the terrible, terrible subs. Why even add subs if you're going to make them incomplete and next to incomprehensible? I even pay for VIP on iQiyi but they are often this lackadaisical with their subtitling.

Silent Reading is BL, Justice in the Dark is censored. It remains to be seen how much they removed.

Someone pointed out to me that the English title on the poster does seem to have a tiny mark that could be read as an "o" between "Jack" and "Frost", so maybe it's in fact the official English title... But the katakana still says "Jakku Furosuto" as far as I can tell, without an "o" in the middle... but maybe I shouldn't blame Gaga for it at least XD

This was really good! I'm really wondering why the name was changed to "Jack o'Frost" from the original "Jack Frost" though. Just because Gaga mistranslated it? The mythological entity from English lore has always been called Jack Frost, nothing else AFAIK, and there is no "o'" in the Japanese title either.

Definitely doesn't pass the "squick rule" of "minimum age of younger person should be older person's age divided by two, plus seven" LOL

It's only the first part of a trilogy (and the next part is already greenlit) so that's why it doesn't end on a super optimistic tone.

It's definitely mentioned and a big part of the motivation for a pivotal character would be lost if they didn't, so they managed to keep it in the story and pass review and everything. There are a lot of episodes set during that time.

Can't stop listening to The Day of Unknown from Three-Body!

The way I remember it was that he didn't want to be in another shipped BL couple after Saint, and considering his very young age and everything that went down between their managers at the time, I don't really blame him. He has since played LGBT characters in various productions, so it's not that he was against *that* idea.

A total gem. This was one of my favourite BLs this season, with an unusual premise, off-beat characters and some intense acting, especially from Tar who managed to portray the young delinquent Noey with amazing deftness, switching from scary to charming and back again at the drop of a hat. I'll definitely keep an eye on that young actor! Bom as Thi was a bit of a mixed bag for me. His overacting as the timid and easily bullied Thi was a bit grating in the beginning, but his character (and thus his portrayal) gradually gained more depth. In the end I saw both of them as dorks, one of them gentle but with a firm core, and the other confident and unrestrained but with a soft and vulnerable core.
Despite having the usual high school/college themed setting, this was something very different to what we usually see. The first episodes hovered between cringe and hilariousness, sometimes sliding a bit too far into cringe, with pacing that wasn't quite there, but as the series progressed it became increasingly engaging and by the middle I was completely sold, feeling that this series is an overlooked work of genius. I'm sure it's not for everyone--the style is quirky and the humour is off-beat, but it's super well made and strangely engaging and satisfying. The ending was amazing--I was smiling like a loon throughout it.

Ep 20 gave me chills at 38:46 -- I've been wondering if the first line in the ending song was a coincidence or a conscious Blade Runner tribute, and that line cinched it: Yes. Definitely an intentional tribute <3

It's not American, but Farscape is one of my all-time favourite sci-fi series.
Also Twelve Monkeys was amazing and so underrated.

What baffled me most was that the counter still thinks it has already aired and is counting down to the second ep

MDL doesn't let me set this as "currently watching" but it's still counting down to episode 2....
