This is literally one of my most annoying watches ever. Please someone give Joe a spine. I couldn’t even get past four episodes because of how frustrated I was watching Joe let Ming walk all over him. Bud is worse than a doormat at this point like wdym this Ming guy can drag you around like a doll and you still can’t fight back, even though you’re literally a stuntman? Such a waste of good acting and production. 2/10 - 1 for acting and 1 for production. Never mind it's 0/10 this was ass (I'm just annoyed don't mind me)
I can’t even say she’s badass because she’s scary af. In real life, she’s the kind of person you’d want to stay miles away from. Honestly, this is the only time I’ve actually felt that a character is a sociopath and has acted accordingly. I had to remind myself over and over again that she isn’t normal and doesn’t think like a regular person, so I can’t apply the same moral compass to her as I would to humans. Also, love that it's fast paced so it's more palatable.
I think a low rating might deter more people from watching.
Buddy, people watch shows based on the synopsis ,that’s the whole point of even having one. I’m not saying ratings and reviews don’t have an influence, but figuring out whether a show is for you or not is done through the synopsis. And here, it does a bad job of that because it’s so generic and not appealing, even to the target audience.
I'm sorry, but the casting?? Respectfully, Lee Jae Wook just isn’t meant for these kinds of roles. He’s a good actor, sure, but I’m having a hard time imagining him as the “first crush” type. Like, do an action movie, sir. Be a delinquent, even bully people. Even in "extraordinary you" he suited the role. Well, that’s just my personal opinion but apart from that, this is so incredibly boring. I’m getting "Love Next Door" flashbacks, but at least the casting was good there, and it was bearably funny too, unlike here. :s
Everything about the show was satisfactory except for the acting. Only a few of the main cast delivered strong performances and carried the show throughout.Ning, Jean, and Viroj were definitely among the standout performers for me. I won’t name names, but some really need to step up their acting game. There were many moments where I couldn’t feel the thrill I should’ve gotten from a zombie show, simply because of the subpar acting.
Omg I love this arc so much I'm gonna cry!! Working hard for your dreams and going from rags to riches has always been fascinating to me. What's even more empowering is the fact that their brand is entirely women lead!!!
Atp, Idt I’d be satisfied if they ended up together. The ml can regret his actions or try to win her back but that doesn’t suddenly make him a good person. He would still be the same guy who exploits others for his own selfish gain. I’m just not convinced he can transform into a completely different person. The sheer extent of the lies and manipulation he’s shown is almost impressive, so much so that I can’t expect anything else from him. Basic respect and empathy toward others aren’t qualities you develop only after making mistakes, they should exist inherently. Sadly he came with a factory defect. And even now, this dude shows no genuine remorse. Instead of reflecting on his actions, he simply wants her back without changing a thing, as the "ideal wife" he envisions. Unlike our fl, this dude has no accountability and no sense of responsibility for the things he did. Idt he should be given a second chance to begin with. I bet no sane person will want to associate themselves with him let alone give another chance.
A morally grey person who has been able to calculate people's next moves all this life meets someone who finally…
Ikr!! It’ll be interesting to see his downfall and how he learns from his mistakes. His character lowkey has more depth than the fl's, given the lesser screentime he’s had compared to her.
I can tolerate Feng Lei to some extent, but this Hao Ming *eye twitches*... Anyway, I think his arrogance and his belief in his power over her are going to make him fall headfirst. We know the FL is strong, and she knows she’s strong, but this ML is seriously underestimating her. Like dude, you’re going to seriously regret messing with her. I really want to see the look of remorse on his pretty face. It’s going to be so satisfying. But honestly, I wonder if he can ever really be forgiven for using people and their feelings for his own benefit to this extent. The guy isn't even that desperate to begin with. I’m really curious to see how they’ll execute the upcoming episodes.
Why though? People can only make decision based on what they've seen. As more info come out, opinions naturally…
Exactly, you can’t dislike someone for what they might do, you go off what’s shown. And what’s shown here is the ML being manipulative as hell, not some misunderstood sunshine boy. That’s why I find it wild that people are already excusing his behavior when the story is literally making it so obvious. That’s the part I’m worried about, not future plot twists. And that's the reason I love the show, it's interesting and, like you said, keeps us guessing.
