There's always been cursing and nakedness in K-content. Its existence has nothing to do with the streaming platforms. You need to check the censorship ratings of the shows i.e. G, PG, 19+ etc., and select accordingly, if this is a problem for you.
Though I can't agree with your hairstyle taste (it looks too mullet-esque for me) I can agree with hair being…
Sadly he does get a lot of -ve on MDL - I think it's the curse of being too handsome (Much like Cha Eun Woo) But I definitely like him, and many others definitely do too - you're not alone 😁

Mind you, I like KYD. I can appreciate, for many people, he's not the greatest actor. But I'm weirdly compelled to keep watching him, with this expectation that he somehow has some potential...like he is on the cusp of breaking through to goodness (if not greatness 🤷♂️). Based on the rest of the cast (e.g. LEE SANG YI!!!!!) maybe this drama will be it!
I have a weakness for men in messy midlength hairstyle, will watch this after all for Hair reasons, even though…
Though I can't agree with your hairstyle taste (it looks too mullet-esque for me) I can agree with hair being a good enough reason to watch something! 😅
I watched the first episode out of curiosity. I enjoyed it, but I think I will wait to see if she gets her own…
The key is "No fault divorce", SK doesn't have it yet (Although there are provisions for divorce if there is mutual agreement). It means you have to technicallly, legally, find someone in the marriage to 'blame,' for the divorce to be allowed. But most places don't have NFD. For example, UK only enacted laws for NFD in 2022!
Jeon Eun Ho's (PO) totally throw away comment, late in episode two, is a big one IMO. To paraphrase: Jealousy is wasted energy. If your partner is willing to betray you, forget about them. They are not worth wasting your time, energy and emotions on. 'Cheating' is just one form of betrayal. I am interested to see if this show explores any further.
Totally different take here but...if it were a real workplace, and I were a real attorney, I would tell HR. They're having sex in a wellness space that's meant to be available for everyone. That is NOT cool (cheating aspect aside) On that basis, I think they chose that location for a bigger reason, i.e. they want to get caught. As to why; I hope that gets explored in further episodes.
Thanks for this! You've given me a whole list of dramas to consider. I LOVE modern C-Dramas, but I'm not a fan of the costume drama genre, mostly because I've found 'historical settings' can often be used to reinforce gendered stereotypes. (I.e.females being considered less than males, in a range of ways) This list definitely makes me more optimistic!
Ahhhhh nostalgia. This screened in the early evening slot on ABC in Australia, through the 1980s and 90s. My siblings and I, got away with unsupervised viewing at that time of day! (It was much less scary than Dr Who, which was right afterwards) I blame it for my early addiction to Kung Fu movies. Very disturbing to watch it as an adult and realise how impregnated with double entendre it is(sorry for the bad pun).
I love this article so much! THIS is the stuff that makes me love MDL. These gorgeous examples of what bring us all together. The many differing points of view, that actually show how much we have in common.
I am running with my interpretation of this as a "How I came to join MDL" story: I came across MDL, after watching Three. 3! So Ji Sub dramas, in a row, in 2016/2017, and really wanting to know if "Meeting your first love in childhood" was a KDrama 'thing' (read: trope). I hovered around as a non-member of MDL for another couple of years (because. Reasons.) Until I finally read an editorial I loved, and felt compelled to put my comment in - I can't remember what exactly, but probably one by Cho Na TBH 😁
I still find that trope troubling, but I am happy to know I am not alone in my committment (read: addiction) to Asian dramas.
Serendipity is a 'fated' or 'fateful' co-incidence. For example, you somehow accidentally end up moving next door to someone who turns out to be your soul-mate... So all those people who say "There's no such thing as co-incidence", believe in serendipity. I.e. that it was 'meant' to happen due to some higher power - fate. It's the stuff that kdrama tropes are made of!😁 Expect this drama to be all about fate.
