I cant be the only one who is kinda on the teachers side?
I feel for him sure, but he was pretty defensive. But in saying that, he gave one hell of an apology after he'd had time to think! The pressure on teachers in this system, is mind-boggling!
Maybe it's because people have only seen sky castle so they don't know... But the education system in most of…
I'm not sure I agree with you about it being across Asia. Certainly cram schools (Hagwon in SK) are across many regions and the pressure to achieve high scores on final exams, is common across regions. But South Korea takes the cake for just how much pressure is applied.
It's now considered a necessity for children to attend Hagwons from an early age, in order to get a good enough score for university entry, in South Korea. This is cited as a significant factor in why many people can't afford to have children! Meanwhile China, for example, has completely banned cram schools, for providing an unfair/unequal advantage to the rich.
I like this series. However I would really like to see some comedy in it. I fear it is becoming more and more…
Totally agree. Especially considering it's genre-labelled as comedy. Admittedly SK comedies are often not my style of humour, and that's alright. But so far, this show seems mislabelled.
This is a pretty interesting Saeguk, in making the adversarial characters, complex and sympathetic. To me, that's so much more realistic than single-faceted psychos. And the good guys are not necessarily all good either.
So nice to read all the +ve comments here. It's brought me right back into that feeling of quiet joy, that Meet Youself brings without even having to view it again (though I surely will) ❤️Thankyou MDLers ❤️
If you genuinely mean that men don't get enough dramas and are being treated unfairly and all, this is like, wrong…
I disagree. Moonrise makes a case for both males and females, having to choose from bad scripts, written for We-Chat influencers. It's not reasonable to throw out the very important label 'misogynistic', when you haven't actually read what they've written.
Agree, there's no gory scenes, so you should be ok, but... Depends how sensitive your stomach is. There are a…
That's totally understandable. It's probably not for you then. And there are some more gory parts in the recent episodes. You're awesome for being self-aware enough to ask, (rather than -ve comments, as many do!) ❤️
a very sad reason to return to her hometown, just right after going back to Shanghai.
I try not to get on my high horse about drama tropes, but this one just seems so unnecessary as a plot device! And here I was, really happy to see positive representation of the step-parent role! Hoping it's a one-off and doesn't make use of any more cliched dramatic twists
guys is this watchable while eating? i only ever watch dramas when im having a meal and im not sure after the…
Agree, there's no gory scenes, so you should be ok, but... Depends how sensitive your stomach is. There are a lot of verbal references to death and the work of embalmers, without actually showing graphic images. Regardless, I'm finding this my favourite Cdrama so far this year. It's definitely worth viewing!
Trying and failing to add Mark Ma as cast. Can anyone else do so please?I'm pretty confident he is the actor playing the teen version of Chen Mai Dong. A nice connection after he played the younger brother of Li Xian in 'Meet Yourself'.
I always associate the tag 'melo' with the idea of 'mellow', which might just be right on the money for this show 😅
