The only drama which I rewatch by randomly clicking an episode and just let it play, without choosing any particular scene or arc. Main leads interactions are just so pleasant :)
Cute drama with tolerably boring investigations, beautiful dresses and super hot Vengo, about whom I have a bit of regret that he wasn't the main character here, and although his part was big, his character lacked development and moments to shine. As for FL, I kinda wish she smiled less, haha :D
This drama feels very natural, unlike most romantic ones, which feel unrealistic and forced. Maybe only "Perfect and casual" is in the same league, from those I've seen so far. Beautiful music, great cast fitting their roles perfectly, many nice lines and emotional moments. But somehow while I couldn't wait for the "modern" part to start, when it finally arrived, it felt like a downhill after the school part. And only about 6-7 episodes before finale, the charm was back. Also, there were many moments when I was disappointed by the lines, which FL got, or rather with the unclear muttering instead of lines - I really don't understand why she was made to behave like that in "modern" part, where she seemed to be a much more self-confident and lively person than at school. In the meantime, Yan Mo, speaking in shortest possible sentences, managed to always get the best line :D Zhao Zhi Wei is absolutely charming when smiling :)
Another absolutely unrealistic drama with dialogues for children <12 and baby-faced actors, but damn Wang Zi Qi is so cute, and so different from his Prince An... Also, he could play brothers with Chen Xing Xu :D
The plot of the first 14 episodes in a nutshell: A partly-autistic but very bright boy is left alone thoughout…
I am right there on episode 14 watching now, and well, they are so young, it is weird to demand from them to do everything by the book. Like when you were 16-18, for sure you already knew everything about which choice to make between career and relationships, oh wait, probably your parents were making the most choices for you? :D
Finished! From all modern romantic c-dramas which I watched this one is the most satisfying. They managed to make it interesting even after confession, moreover ML stayed true to his (a bit stiff) personality and didn't become a melting marshmallow :D Easy and pleasant watch.
Very good drama overall, but as usually first part was better, full of challenges and character development. Dialogues here are better than in most dramas, even with shitty subs :D Wei Zhe Ming never looked more authentic as demanding mentor :D And best SML ever!, his first appearance was fantastic, and he never disappointed later, finally some other dynamics than just a love rival. Actually, if the focus of the story was on ML and SML becoming friends again, I wouldn't mind at all.
On episode 12 and what a nice drama! So many things happened, and they managed to make this pretty unbelievable plot look somewhat reasonable 😁 Good writing.
Dramas which cast Merxat and not give him his own lovestory, should be punished by law. Also, casting teams seem to have troubles with finding a FL for Bi Wen Jun who could match his beauty :p
Why do you think it's pointless exactly. The idea was to give shanggu another chance at life and to save the three…
His plan was not pointless, as he reached one main goal: this time she didn't sacrifice herself, moreover, she didn't have to watch him doing this. This sacrifice has to happen, there is no way out of it. So it's either her or BaiJue, but she is the god of Chaos, so it' her duty. Persuading her it has to be him this time was probably a harder thing for him to complete than just stay away and pretend not to care about her. I also think that seeing her go during first sacrifice was so painful to him that he would prefer all other tortures but not that again, and he also didn't want her to watch him go.
Some things happened not according to his initial plan, if I am not mistaken - she was supposed to awake as Shanggu after he was already gone. And he never planned a child, of course. So he did some stupid things, improvising :D
But I agree that telling her everything right after he was gone, was weird, and I don't think that was his plan, more like TianQi's idea.
Sweet and warm, but too flat. No real excitement even during action scenes, the best part is in the beginning, when they train for certificate. All couples behaving like 13 years old kids max, shy of everything. 2nd couple's story dragging too long - no way he would just watch her cry and still stay silent. Will never understand casting baby faced guys for tough roles. Directing and editing are pretty ok in comparison to many other similar dramas.
I am on episode 8, and I think FL should run away from both guys :D SML is skimming and unpredictable. ML is weird and physically rude, dragged her to his car, wtf. Run, girl, run :D
I came back here after watching another series and I must say that this is still by far the best xianxia I’ve…
Agree. This is a rare drama from which I rewatch random scenes - battle scenes, death scenes and just some emotional ones, which are not about the main couple. Like, Mu Guang is not my fav character, but his last scene is so epic, the music, the bell ringing, Wu Huan's despair - all done so right to give you goosebumps, so I watched it several times. And drama is full of such scenes. I think most other dramas kinda pull back when it comes to a truly emotional scene, cause what if later they fail to make a more important scene more epic? But here they were just going full emotions, or maybe by the principle - there are no less important scenes or less important characters)
Just started and love it. Finally a modern drama about something filmmakers actually know everything about, so I already have many new impressions unlike other dramas where many plots are just "same old, same old". Cast is fine, all act quite naturally. But subs are sh*t(
