I liked it! Probably they should have mentioned memory loss as one of the key plot twists, it's weird to not have all spoilers in the summary 😁 I'd say this drama is well-written, dialogues make sence, characters' issues are wrapped up properly. Nice secondary characters, supportive parents, cute everyday routines. Most characters being adults even if sometimes behaving silly. Well done)
Just when I started to get bored, he lost his memory again, and that was... hilarious idea! This second part is more exciting than the first one for me. Really like the FL, she is just so normal. And ML's eyes seem to be always laughing, which is charming. SML is cute and finally having his own crush. Currently on episode 16 and continuing :)
I think you're a bit harsh on the fl. I do think she could be more expressive, but I attributed to her being new…
I am indeed in a rant mood lately :D, but I was disappointed with all crucial main leads scenes, and mostly because the girl's behavior or inability to say anything. Probably it was script issue, I feel like they wanted to give Xu Kai's character more opportunities to shine and say nice things and be cool, but the result was that the girl seemed dump, sorry :D Yeah, raising fandom issues was a great idea, but here I also didn't like some things FL said during interviews or during her streams, which yet again made me feel she wasn't that smart :D
Idk, how creators managed to write such a pleasant and at the same time ridiculous script. Maybe acting, directing…
Overall, rating it 7. + main leads, music, nice relationships development in the first part, several final episodes were with main leads together and having married life, so not "last minute happy end" or last minute wedding, which is cool and should happen more often in dramas. - in the second part ML became typical cold CEO, stalking FL. I kinda preferred him blind. Scriptwriters created illogical problems, then didn't know how to solve them, so some things were never sorted out. And I skipped second couple during the whole drama, they were boring to me.
Idk, how creators managed to write such a pleasant and at the same time ridiculous script. Maybe acting, directing and editing made it all more acceptable than it initially was. Half of lead's arguments are totally unbelievable. FL's mother first hiding her dad's illness then accusing daughter of not being there??? wtf. Continuing just because leads are cute.
Ah, thanks! I see that I missed the button "related content" :) Will add that drama to watchlist) Hope the actor for Yuan Qi is nice, I haven't seen any drama with him yet, the boy was super cute :D
1)is there love triangle2)when do leads will be together3)is there any breakup? if there till how many eps?plz…
1/ Not really, there is an annoying guy who wants to be with the FL, but he just disappeared from the plot from time to time. Main couple spends really a lot of screen time together. 2/ For me it felt like they were together all the time, haha. The ML just came into her life, and it was hard to get rid of him :D 3/ Yes, but not long.
Absolutely unremarkable girl chosen to be "the first one" in cyber sport, while not having any character trait which would let her hold there, moreover the actress is so dull. She is so "nothing special", that it's just frustrating. Also, what a bad choice for a group of guys, she didn't fit in, as her basic function there was to be teased because of the interest of their leader to her. What a shame. Very confused about the high rating. Xu Kai is fine, as some other support characters, but FL and script for her part are bad.
I've only watched a total of eight episodes, and I'm already tired of seeing the same expression on the female…
I am also confused about high rating, FL is quite terrible, and I started fast forwarding already at episode 3, while usually it happens at least after 20 episodes :D And that's even not at the gaming moments :D
I keep trying to work through my emotions about this show... and it's tough. 1. It's a beautiful production2.…
I think this drama finally managed to give the public what it really needed. Main leads had great chemistry and were fun to watch, and instead of creating ten additional secondary characters or multiple lives or several stupid misunderstandings and break ups, creators focused on writing many good scenes for leads, giving them a lot of screen time, developing their characters and personal relationships. They still followed some main xianxias patterns, like self-sacrifice, resurrection, mortal tribulation, but they didn't overcomplicate it and didn't make 50+ episodes from the simple story. And it played out well. The only thing I am scared about, knowing cn drama industry, is that instead of taking what's good from this drama example, creators will just make for us a lot of dark evil scary MLs as Dongfang, and innocent and clueless FLs as Orchid :D
Ehh, the story mostly got me frustrated, especially after about first ~15 episodes in which they had adventures in academy, and that was fun. Later on some crucial events and talks seemed to happen somewhere behind the scenes, so unlike most dramas, I can't even recall which scenes I would like to rewatch, everything was kinda... flat. Man Ting had so much screen time in the beginning and then when her actual love story had to be developed, she just disappeared. At the same time they spent fking lot of time on the Japanese lady, about whom I couldn't care less, as she was not the fun type of villain, and actress was not charismatic at all. I think drama kinda collected flaws of two other projects which were partially done by the same team - Court Lady and Miss Truth.
Started this drama accidently, and after a few eps I begin to feel Toby Lee is not the one to end up with FL (confirmed this in reviews and comments). Ehh, Xu Kai is cute and all, but Toby Lee is just a bit more "my" type. His presence on screen hypnotizes me :) Ok, anyway, let's watch a few episodes more. Also, funny to see Wang Yi Zhe, it took me a few scenes to remember that he was Toby Lee's closest pal in "Miss Truth" as well.
happy ending? just finished watching maid's revenge and i am annoyed with the ending :)
Yes, happy ending for main couple and most of the main characters. One nice character dies several episodes before the final. Another nice but not central character dies in the last ep.
Now when I look back or rewatch some scenes, I keep thinking how normal main leads are in this drama, no unnecessary coldness or childness, both very professional, ML is super smart but not arrogant, FL never acts ridiculous... It's really hard to find something similar, especially among historical or fantasy dramas. The other drama where I'd say both leads are mature and behave normally - is "The Sword and The Brocade", but it's more about house life and scheming, while I prefer crime investigations.
OMG! A fantasy show with enemies to lovers vibe, a ML who is the definition of bad and radiates i'll destroy everything…
Second couple in another Dylan's drama "Miss the dragon" is similar in many ways, SML looks very cold and dangerous at first, the girl is funny and lively, very strong chemistry, I loved them. Dylan's storyline there is utterly boring and his performance is average, but you can still enjoy his naked torso from time to time.
Well, it's a pity that such a good chemistry - between main leads, but other couples too - got lost in this weak script. Many nice ideas - shameless female lead, issues with promising anything "forever", dangerous and spicy relationships between SFL and the prince - all was just lost in a mess of cliches and slow-mo's. I liked the cast and some scenes, but the drama overall - not really.
I've just started... kinda wanted a plot about a girl pursuing a man. In general I like how shameless the female lead is, but sometimes it's a bit too much 😁. I wish it all developed a bit slower. But I'll continue, it's fun and characters have chemistry.
Yeah, raising fandom issues was a great idea, but here I also didn't like some things FL said during interviews or during her streams, which yet again made me feel she wasn't that smart :D
