... but that ending! Why do cn authors keep doing these terrible last minute "I am back"s in xianxias??? Public keeps whining about this but they keep doing them, rrrrr. I also didn't like that Orchid kinda killed him, I am sure in the reverse situation he would have never killed her. It could have been done better, the previous "death crisis" was much better, I even cried, but during the final episodes - nope.
Loved Rong Han's sad story and actor's performance, this is very close to a "grey villain" which is a rare thing in Chinese fantasy drama, but they had to make him a mass murderer, of course 😁. The second time I cried was during his final scene.
And Dan Yin was one of the most "healthy" characters I've seen in such dramas, not perfect, not evil, just a normal person.
Not a big fan of the personality of the female lead, but with time her endless kindness and purity played out well, I think she is the only type of person who could help DFQC, just ignoring his attitude and millions of threats to kill someone 😁. Love story is done well, with nice development of the relationships, they didn't get close fast, and it was believable and you could see how their feelings grew.

Ok, I finished drama quickly 😚 Nice fairy tale, variation of Beauty and the Beast. Solid plot, cool music, pleasant humor, beautiful scenery, and yes, Dylan shined in this like a thousand stars. This is the first character after Donghua who gave me believable "out of this world", supernatural vibes. I wanted to praise creators for avoiding or not dragging many typical cliches but -> (continued in the comment, with spoilers)

I was very annoyed by her for the half of the series too, but then I thought she was not clueless but... she just didn't make a big deal out of any reveal. She never assumed the worst about anyone, and just continued to be kind. And a bit dump, yes 😁

Very charming male lead. The girl... I just didn't believe her acting, she looked like a naive girl who pretended to be self confident.
Overall, quite well paced series, but the climax of the story seemed to happen somewhere in the middle. I am very happy that a good boy Xu Guang Yao made it to the finale.

I saw the ML somewhere and he was nice, I also watched another version of Qin Ming and it was good, so gonna give this a try)

This was funny at first, but then became average in many aspects. I would call it a pleasant drama if not the annoying SML. ML also lacked something.
Also, they really spent little time on studying and school adventures, I would recommend "Qing Qing Zi Jin" if you want more of that.
Yan Yan was cute ❤

Cute drama, I needed something sweet and not complicated and this one is just fine. Loved relationships of the main couple, full of bickering and laughter.
