Production/directing is good, FL is ok, and I am getting used to ML, whom I didn't like at first, but as a character…
... I am afraid I am utterly bored on episodes 16-17 with this marriage and princess poisoning arc. Main leads when being sad are just very, very boring.
Yeah, somewhere there I started to skip a lot and just watch main leads scenes, as investigations were not interesting…
I like main leads and the plot was also ok for about 30+ episodes, moving quite fast, so it was a pleasant watch. cp is indeed done very good here, it's a slow burn, but you can see how both of them develop affection to each other, and how it's growing. I prefer such relationships to fast ones, usually done through a series of slow motion falling scenes :D Here I didn't really like ML in the beginning, but he became so nice later, very confident about his feelings, and he never doubted her too.
Production/directing is good, FL is ok, and I am getting used to ML, whom I didn't like at first, but as a character he is nice. Oh, and I love the boy, he was Hongri in ALP and is absolutely adorable. But the plot is so simplified, and romantic collisions which are in every drama are going just one after another, her falling into his arms on every possible occasion and accidently touching his lips or body, like, come on. Now I am on episode 6 and the way they made her move to live with the ML was so unbelievable. Also, I am tired of everyone being a prince or princess in dramas, give me ordinary noblemen, lol!
Did anyone else noticed how Qiu Yan was introduced as illiterate to male lead' mother but in the latest episode…
I think his mother understood everything about true QY's identity, maybe it's not production, but QY who made this mistake, and his mother connected the rest of the dots. We'll see in the next episodes.
How could it be called a filler with so many great scenes? I am really confused 😁
You know, before episodes with concubine arc aired I thought it's gonna be quite terrible and fake, but in fact I enjoy this arc as comic relief, and also in between those comic scenes the leads do have serious conversations, or are confronted by other people, so it's not like the episodes are now 100% humor. I am also happy leads can finally laugh a bit, after quite many episodes in brothel, which was a scary place, truth to tell.

Yep, I've seen it, one of the best dramas from last year. Idk, "filler" for me is when there is nothing to remember from the episode or when it's about secondary characters who don't bring much to the main plot. Episode 23 I am gonna remember and re-watch nearly in full :D

Well, I know this game won't last long, and kinda enjoy the happy times, cause there are some new tragedies to come soon. I also love both serious conversations our couple has and their funny moments, and the fact that we could find out more about LY's past and personality.

Yeah, like, come on, I watched that scene probably even more times than some scenes with our couple :D And the party part was very intense, I liked watching YL being outplayed. Again we see how amazing QY is, ready to go really far to save herself and now also LY and his mom, who are in the same boat. And as for LY, he raised the bar for male leads to a new level in this episodes :D
The beginning was ok, but later on I got so frustrated with this ML who could never say anything straight and believed every lie he was told, I hoped that such ML types were long gone 😁
Thank you! You summed it up for me perfectly.. I was finishing the episode last nite and I was like ..huh??? Can…
Weird, how can the story go off in just one episode, which sets up future events? And it won't be the FL doing the pearl plan. Did you watch the trailers? It's gonna be QM.
I have really enjoyed this drama until the recent episodes 22, 23, 24, mainly starting 23. The story has started…
I think it's quite obvious that they are starting a cunning plan to trick Emperor into forgiving Qiu family, and for that plan they kinda gather people and facts they got to know in their previous cases: He general, priest, Emperor's beliefs. And yeah, it's quite a weird plan, and a risky one, but they actually need a Big Lie to break through. After that there will be one or two more arcs about LY in trouble, and QY's turn to help and prove her feelings, which I am very excited about. Actually, this continues to be a very good story by structure and how they balance good and bad events, and also the way events help main leads to develop their bond. So, maybe don't give up yet)
He assumed that younger sister was the girl he met in the childhood, because FL gave her a fan she received back…
I had no issue with that at all, they barely had any scenes together, I was even excited to see how ML is gonna break that arrangement, but the plot just made another turn and he didn't have to think any cunning plan :D
I'm in episode 8 and how long with QY and QX arch last? I mean we all know they're not the endgame so how much…
They don't have an arc. He is there all the time because he loves her, she likes him, but they never had more screentime than main leads or better scenes. Currently (episode 24) QX is there to show that our main lead is fucking fantastic 😁
Damn, the argument between Liang Yi and Qin Xuan in 23 was the hottest scene ever. Please all male leads out there - learn from Liang Yi how to talk to your best friends, who are in love with the same girl.
Liang Yi, Liang Yi, after everything what happened during your party, all you care about, is that your girl hurt herself to not be disclosed. You scared her to death 😄😄😄😍😍😍
