When he 1st learnt that Yuan was having some issues he carried him fishing wondering if it was because he didn't give him enough love... But it was romantic love he was thinking about. I just love how complex they are.
I don't really believe Yuan would ever play hard to get with Qian. His character is simply not written that way to me. From such a young age he basically imprinted on Qian. He admired and worshipped Qian that he eventually fell in love. So he will might not try to confess again, but he will silently love him and take care of him. He would never do anything to hurt or make Qian uncomfortable.
I think that him going away was a very good opportunity, because it allowed him to develop and interact with others without Qian and the others. He was basically living in a lil bubble with all his focus and wants depending on Qian. HE Should have developed his own interest and became more confident within himself and independent. Not just doing something because he wanted the others approval.
Now for Qian, In my opinion up to this point he still does not love Yuan as a romantic partner. He see him as his little brother just as he does his sister. Yuan was someone that he needed to take care of and provide for. Why I believe he seems more loving with Yuan is because he is a boy and he wouldn't argue or give him trouble like the sister. So he kind of understood him more.
I believe the up coming episodes will probably show us some flashbacks or I hope we get flashbacks of Yuan in the USA.
It's 12 episodes & we are only on 8 so much more story to tell.
