Title My Universe
looks like he is top this round
The Godess of Tawanian BL is quoted as saying that’s the BL casting model that can’t be broken. It is kinda silly they feel obligated to do that. Not every show. But too many with the senior top /junior bottom dynamic.

Right Time Right You was a total change of pace for this series, which I’d hated through the first four eps. While slow, the longing of fist love not reciprocated and the heartbreak over break up were well played. Thai BL doesn’t normally do understated and subtle Well Thai anything doesn’t do understated and subtle. It felt honest. More like an indie film but with no cinematography budget. (But a qualude budget maybe) It doesn’t save the show but an A for effort. Especially the two male leads. Slide whistle and cowbell free too. .

Can’t disagree. Thousand stars is on a different level than thisThis . And I thought earth and mix were fantastic in moonlight chicken too. As were the guys from this show . I think the reason I like Only Friends is because I lived it in my early 20s. But it is pretty toxic for those without that frame of reference. It’ll be challenging for the writers to redeem some of these characters. Maybe they shouldn’t

This drama had so much potential, but sloppy writing and directing wasted on a terrific cast. Lee Bo-young's character…
The mother story was weak. As was the prosecutor revenge dangling, plot strand. The show did get a little draggy after the first major conflict was resolved. But overall I was satisfied with it….especially the first eight eps. But you’re right this was a better 10 to 12 episode show than 16 episode one.

She was one of my favorite characters in all of K drama land. I love the way she chewed up and spit out misogynistic sexiest men with her talent and cunning. I hope there’s a season two. She left me wanting more. And the ending set up a pretty good excuse to bring them all back.

Title Agency Spoiler
I absolutely love EVERYTHING about this show but I need to know im not the only one INFURIATED with that goddamn…
Is the epilogue the Indy ad agency they formed a year later or did I miss something after the credits? If it is the agency scene I think it was put in to set up a season 2. Just speculation on my part but I’d love to see these characters back. They left me wanting more plus maybe in season two we can get one now or two romantic storylines They establish the premise of the independent agency, not being able to compete with the big conglomerate agency in Season 1. Nobody better than homegirl to prove them wrong. I love when she battles these misogynistic sexist men and kicks their ass. She’d have plenty to chew up and spit out in season two. Anyway, that’s my two. Cents. Like you I loved the show.

For me, I feel like the way they might do this if they are going to do this well (and not a "love conquers all"…
A time skip is a good idea. In the real BL world gay life in early 20s was much more like Jr. High compared to straight world. I don’t care how tolerant society has become, there’s a certain delay in maturity overall because society still imparts a stigma that breeds insecurity like we are seeing, especially in the relationship with Boston and his Dad for ex. And his resulting behavior. But we grow up, change and mature by our late 2o’s. Well that’s been my experience. A time Skip would allow more character redemption without sacrificing honesty in the writing of the show. Hope the writers take your suggestion or took it.

I agree with you. This shows strength is honesty. I’d be disappointed if they tied this show up with 100 percent “by your side forever happily ever after” with all the characters. That’s not the vibe this show is going for. Some open ended would fit much better. Well, I’m personally rooting for Nick. I can’t see Boston ever truly redeem himself . Nick deserves better. But if the writers can sell, a redemption story arc, that’s believable. I’ll offer mad respect and go with it. Just don’t force it.

I’m so with you. Embrace the toxicity! And enjoy the ride. For those of us from the real BL world, we’ve met versions of these characters. And yes, we’ve been these characters at times too if we are truly honest about with ourselves. But we come better people with time. It’s still hard to be 22 in the real BL world. And there’s honesty in this show no matter how polarizing it is

It speaks to how effective this show is at getting a rise out of people. We are all rooting for our faves and against the aholes. Of course we all have a different idea who those people are . That’s the power of great storytelling and incredibly well written and portrayed characters we can all have a love / hate relationship with. This is a brave show …and honest…one of my favorites of the year. They’ve got the best of the best GMMTV acting talent in this one. I’d like to see the actors playing Boston and Nick get their shot at leads in the future.

Dead fish kisses in 2023??? Its a no from me. We're too deep in the century for homophobia 💔I'll give this…
I can’t argue that it really bothered me because of all the effort the writers and actors put into this story. It was really well done show without that disappointment. But I think we can blame artist management for that. I read recently at one of the leads and semantic error who is an idol talked about the pressure his management company put him under not to do the show. And, of course, famously a shoulder to cry on decided to avoid the kiss all together. I’ve got some experience working with artist, managers and booking agents here in the US. They are awful relentless moneygrubbing, control, freaks. I’ll bet in that world of K-POP . It’s no different. I’m not trying to defend the fish kiss. Just trying to explain.It. In my opinion, the show runners were likely pressured by artist management and they felt they needed some kind aid “name” to lead the show in order to get a large viewership. So they hired the rapper and. And put up with a Fish kiss demand. I will say the writers creatively dealt with the third time around fish kiss during the finale. It was Creative. The writing tell it was a Strong as any of The shows I’ve seen in a BL. More specifically, the dialogue.

Haven’t been able to enjoy a kbl to this degree for a long time! Good writing, tight pacing, interesting couple…
The writing was epic. Low key and chill and very well acted. Some of the best most authentic dialogue I’ve ever seen in a BL. It was like real people talking to real people. The last “glamping “ episode was right of that dating reality series His Man. You’d hard pressed to tell the difference between the scripted version and the reality version it was so authentic.

Fair enough. You gave it a chance. If you like time travel and got sucked in expecting that, you should try the C-drama Reset. It's really well done and one of my favorite Asian dramas.

Yeah. That pairing is 0 for 3 for me First Kao are putting on a clinic acting wise. And they need to give Neo and Mark more to do besides each other and whatever tricks Neos character is turning.

Understood. I just finished another time travel but not really series called Light In Your Eyes. I almost dropped it because I thought it was in one direction and stalling when instead it was going in a totally different way. I didn’t anticipate and it end Ed up being one of the best series ever seen. There’s another one to put on your list. I ts better not
To know anything about it. If you don’t already don’t listen to the haters you gotta watch all the way up through. That might test you for a couple of episodes, but it is worth the journey get to the destination.

I don't have words to say since this drama made me cry so much, the ending monologue literally made me burst to…
I went in knowing nothing, other than I'm a fan of time travel. So I was hit full on by how the show ended. It reminded me of a short story I read in school by Edith Whorton called "Ethan From". I don't remember much other than the stream-of-consciousness story telling where nothing was as it was. It stayed with me for years and years. Needless to say, I committed to all twelve episodes and found this series masterfully brilliant, light years ahead of what most TV writers/producers would be able to come up with.

I'd probably leave a similar review after watching the first five or six episodes. and then dropping it. Assuming you don't know how it ends, I think you'll find it worth it to pick it back up and watch all the way through if you didn't. A lot of what happens in the beginning and middle is not what you think. The younger "brother" was annoying at the beginning. But by the end, this show took my breath away.
