So far I'm liking the drama. I am finishing up ep 7. Does anyone have the same feeling that FL is a bit weak all…
Naaa. That first time with the King time was a completely different circumstance. She thought she was in the modern times, thought he was cosplaying as King the entire time she tied him up, but the time with the assassins she knew he was actually King, knew they were actually assassins and that her life (and his life now that she knows and cares) really were on the line. Ignorance is bliss and in the second case she had no ignorance so of course she was actually really afraid
For a show that’s only 12 episodes it makes sense that they focused on her growth as an associate. Of course…
You’re right that the rule might not be enforced strictly but it would be an ethical issue for him anyway since it was his idea in the first place (that seniors and juniors could not date). I think it wasn’t so difficult for the second couple because they’re on the same level at work- neither of them is more senior than the other in hierarchy so
completed another masterpiece, it was so painful to watch like my dearest... one was hiding their real feelings…
Imo a key difference between the ML of My Dearest and the ML of Ths Red Sleeve is that the ML from The Red Sleeve loved as though he was taking (from the FL) and the ML from My Dearest loved as though he was giving (to the FL). I think it’s a really interesting point

Yi San would never have believed that his selfishness would have been her/ their undoing if it had not actually happened to him. I mean, who would’ve thought it would go so badly? They had horrible luck. If he had let her be she could have served quietly by his side as she wanted for the rest of his life. It’s such a sad thing.
My enjoyment of it was so profound that every other technical issue is whatever. I need moreeee. The cases are…
For a show that’s only 12 episodes it makes sense that they focused on her growth as an associate. Of course there are feelings here and there but just because there are feelings doesn’t mean there are no barriers. Since she’s his subordinate it’s a bit more complicated since the no dating rule was his idea in the first place and she’s much younger. At first he noticed her noticing him and then slowly warmed up to her, but I don’t think that he for one day thought of her like that directly until the date. Considering his personality he probably rejected and denied it even then. And that shows his responsibility tbh and is true to character. He’s a rational and responsible adult (in this case) so how can anyone be mad? lol. The show did not fail. If there had been 4 more episodes then maybe and that would still be a maybe. But if there were 8 more then they could appropriately show the characters consider if they really could. At the very least she’d probably have to move teams which would be a shame.
My enjoyment of it was so profound that every other technical issue is whatever. I need moreeee. The cases are very interesting too, even the politics was well done. Will there really be no season 2? That would be understandable too. Instead of the end being an end it’s the beginning of new stories. I found the plot, pacing and themes well balanced for how much was going on.
She doesn’t have to do roles like this. Anyway, in situations like this I blame the directors and casting directors for not understanding what the show needs or not being firm about it. But a show is created by a team that includes the actors. By taking the role she holds some accountability for it too because she’s part of the team. The role doesn’t suit her personal boundaries so she shouldn’t take those and the directors should not offer it either.
The cover perfectly represents their dynamic So well written and developed imo I didn’t like the first episode but I’m glad I gave it a chance ML has the most mischievous eyes and FL has feistiness to match it . The writer does a good job of making me care about the characters and the directing is great too. The cgi isn't great and the show isn’t perfect but I’d recommend it confidently. I admit though that if you can’t understand the female lead or rationalise her decisions then you can’t enjoy it.
