Yes,i'm 2 years late and after dropping it at episode 6,i finally finished it. I kinda understand the hype. BUT i'm in the low percentage of unpopular opinions. I thought this drama had a lot of flaws.
First of all,the plot had it's up and downs. I went from being interested to being bored in half a sec. The development of the story leaves much to be desired. And a lot of people cried but i had a poker face until the ending,i think i teared up a little but nothing more.
And second of all,my biggest problem was with some actors in particular. The english speaking scenes were horrible. They were so cringy that i almost wanted to die. I understand it was necessary but damn, everytime they switched languages it was like turning a good actor into a bad one. And the american cast was trash.
I loved everyone else tho. The supportive cast was excellent and the chemistry between the main leads was cute even if their relationship was 100% bipolar. The female main lead changing her mind and dragging everything was kinda annoying.
I mean,it's not a bad drama at all.I enjoyed most of it. The cinematography was breathtaking, one of the best ones out there. And the OST gave me chills. But y'know, those flaws were pretty strong.

Overall,do i think it's overrated/overhyped? Maybe? But everyone has their own preferences. And focusing on the good things, like i said,i enjoyed most of it. And you're probably gonna enjoy it too, just don't start this with high expectations. I think that was my mistake. A popular, hyped drama, doesn't always mean a perfect drama.

This drama was like a bad functioning rollercoaster. At first i was intrigued and i was enjoying it but then the plot dropped halfway through and i got bored and then after a couple of episodes i started having fun again because the supportive characters and the story were going somewhere but finally (surprisingly) it dropped again. That's how i felt the whole drama. It was a push and pull situation. There were amazing fun scenarios but also boring and predictable ones.

The cast was great tho. I don't even get surprised anymore with Hwang Jung Eum's characters. She really likes obnoxious and loud ones. I don't think anyone else could pull them off. And even if the cast was great,i think the main leads didn't have enough chemistry. I liked the supportive characters better.

Overall,i have to be real,it's a mediocre drama. I enjoyed it but it has a lot of flaws ,it was a mixed bag. I don't think i'm gonna remember the story nor the characters after some time. (But the armpit guy and the tall lady were the OTP here.I would watch a drama just with these two)

So many bad reviews tho. Sorry, but I must defend this show since it is one I thoroughly enjoyed. Yes, the storyline is pretty simple and cliche,it's not the most unique out there. But I never found it boring and happily awaited watching a cute couple in the making. It was what i needed to feed my fluffy romance side. Bang Sung Hoon made me flutter like there was no tommorrow lol. The skinship and chemistry between the main leads was freaking great. It's one of those couples you really want them to date in real life.
The supporting characters were okay, the cherry on the top was the secretary and the mom honestly pissed me off.

Overall, you either love or hate this drama,it depends on your preferences. If you want a nice cutesy story, you should really give it a try.

THIS DRAMA IS SO UNDERRATED I CAN'T

Okay,i've finished this drama a while ago and i miss it like crazy. This is hands down one of the best dramas that I've ever watched. I don't know why but i got hooked since the beginning. It hit all the right notes. The plot was fun and exciting as hell. The couple felt so natural and unforced and I HAD SO MANY BUTTERFLIES because of them. I enjoyed it as much as Weightlifting fairy kim bok joo and Goblin, and that says something.

This is one of the most amazing, refreshing Korean Dramas I have seen in ages so please PLEASEEEE give it a try. And congrats to everyone who worked on this masterpiece.

I don't really understand how this drama has such a high rating. I didn't find the story substantial enough. After 11 episodes i was really done with the characters and the plot. And though I love the leading actors(Yoon Doo Joon and Kim So Hyun) THEY HAD 0 CHEMISTRY! It felt so forced and the relationship was so dry lol.
It's a bummer because i thought this was going to be a great drama but the story is not strong enough to become memorable or for me to finish.

The Ost was awesome tho.

I loved how they played with the past life and the present life in a way that every character fit like a glove. That mixed with a heartwarming love story and fantasy makes the perfect drama that doesn't make you bored not even once. Also the whole cast was magnificent. So many great actors that made their characters come to life in such a natural way.
Nevertheless,i give it 9.5 and not a 10 because i was annoyed towards the ending...i felt like the last episode was just a way to add more to the drama so i was pretty annoyed with the fact that they had to do that just to make it a little longer.(if you've seen it you know what i talk about) But i got over it and i can finally say that this is a must watch!

This drama surprised me so much. Like the title says "Laughter in Waikiki",you're gonna laugh since the first episode to the last. This is not your typical romantic story. The comedy is way above the romance. And the cast fit the characters perfectly, they all had their flaws and unique characteristics that makes you fall in love with all of them.
I also wanna give a big thumbs up to the ost, everytime "Waikiki wonderlaaand" came up,i was turning my volume all the way to 100 lol. I even added the song to my spotify list, that's how much i loved it.

So i really recommend giving it a try,It's the perfect drama to watch when you want something refreshing and something to destress.

After finishing the entire drama i have mixed feelings.

1.Positive : I was in a mood for a cutesy and dramatic story and i got it.
The cast did a great job expressing their characters and i teared up a couple of times.
2.Negative: Ending sucked. This drama should've been extended to at least 33 episodes (just 1 more) to explain more stuff and show the relationships of both main and second couples but it was very rushed. Too many stories without explanations that left me with many questions.

Thank goodness it was only two episodes because i don't think i would've got through 30 more min.
If you don't like emotional cheating, get away from this drama. The plot was very choppy and didn't really flow well. It felt like i went for a drive but instead of going forward i went in circles for 2 hours (do i make any sense?).
This looked pretty promising in the beginning but instead the plot dragged until the last second. And that ending...no comment lol but it was pathetic.
Also the acting was half hearted at best.

Overall, disappointed but not surprised. I'm just glad it was short and i watched it when i didn't have any wifi.

I think this is an unpopular opinion but i enjoyed this season more than the first one. I was actually debating if i should give it a perfect 10 or not but this season had one big flaw that i just couldn't.
This is the first time i've seen such a bad actress replacement. I don't have anything against Ji Woo,but damn, this wasn't a role fit for her. Eun Jae's character is supposed to be shy and awkward but she looked like a psycho most of the time. Trying to copy Park Hye Soo movements and stares from season 1 didn't really work. It felt really forced and unnatural to the point it was frustrating to watch her act.
But nevertheless i loved everyone else, the main cast was amazing as always with wonderful additions like Choi Ah Ra(Jo Eun) and Kim Min Suk(Seo Jang Hoon) that made this drama shine even more. And thank you writers for giving Park Eun Bin (Song Ji Won) more scenes. SHE ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT.

Overall, this season was full of nice surprises that made me excited for a third season. The ending left me(and everyone else) with a lot of unanswered questions so I'M GONNA BE PISSED IF THEY DON'T MAKE A THIRD ONE.

This is one of those dramas that will stick with you forever. I haven't relate with some characters like this in a long time. Actually,i think it's the first time i relate 97% with one of them. Also, the plot was full of great messages.
No matter whether you are rich or poor or come from a large city or small, everyone has its own issues to deal with along with secrets they keep from the outside world.
Every character had their own development and i can't wait to see them in season 2! Definite must-watch.

I started watching kdramas like half a year ago and i didn't even knew about this one (yes,i know,WHY?!) ,it was a recommendation and it was one of the best things that happened to me. I ABSOLUTELY DEVORED IT and loved it.
The mystery kept the drama going from the beginning and it kept me interested until the end. I kinda already guessed who was who but i was rooting for the other characters to find them on their own.
There were so many intense scenes that i had to cover my face with a pillow at 3 in the morning. The plot totally draws you in,the writers did a good job on being so meticulous with the details, and the kickass cast was AMAZING. I didn't like Seo In Guk in Shopping king Louie but freaking hell, his character in this drama was to die for. I loved him to pieces.

The romance tho...i have to be totally honest,it was a bit dry but i didn't even cared. The writers made the romance subtle and focused more on the thriller part.
Also i have to talk about the bromance,PARK BO GUM,you freaking made me cry. It was so funny to see all the characters mix together.

The ending left me with a couple of questions that i think everyone that've seen the drama knows about it...and it's been 3 years,so a second season it's likely not gonna happen, and that makes me sad. I'll miss the characters.

Definitely it's a must watch. 10/10!!

Calling out all romance lovers, this drama is gonna stick on you like peanut butter to jelly. The characters and their friendship were goals;the couples and their relationships were goals; EVERYTHING WAS GOALS.
This is one of that kind of dramas where every character is a piece of a puzzle. They're all important. You're gonna love them because of their unique characteristics and wittiness. Everyone was so natural in their acting,it was insane. I think a lot of people thought that the story was cliché. And i agree with that. But for some reason,i didn't really mind it.

And the thing i liked the most about this,is that the main female lead was not the typical "dumb and weak" character. She was powerful, strong and confident, and i wanted to enter the drama just to give her a hug. Also, Park Seo Joo never disappoints,i love this man in every drama.

Overall,it was a really laid back and fun romcom. I laughed and squealed and that's what i needed because i was in a slump from all the bad dramas that i forced myself to watch. And i didn't cry until the last episode, damn, that one got me. I'M GONNA MISS THE LEADS AND THE SUPPORTIVE CHARACTERS A WHOLE BUNCH

Where do i start? First of all, what did the writers wanted to achieve with the story? The plot was a complete mess. It started pretty mediocre so i kept watching but the writing itself turned to be cringy, awkward and random after the first couple of episodes.
And then the acting...As much as i love Exo,in this case, i'm judging Suho as an actor and not as an idol. You can really notice throughout the whole drama that he lacks the skills. He had the same expression since the first episode to the last. It was like a half pout, half smirk. LIKE WHY NOBODY TOLD MY MAN IT LOOKED WEIRD? I think he should practice more before he tries to act again.

And i mean, how can everyone be good at acting except the main leads? The most important ones were the worst. And their romance was absolutely dry. 0 chemistry.
I was more interested in the supporting characters(i loved Mi So and Cha Do Jin; Min Tae Ra and that painter guy ),they were the only ones that made this drama bearable. (Steve and the other 2 were squad goals).

They should've chose a better cast for the main couple and a better writer. The last episodes were such a filler,i almost fell asleep, and it's a shame.

Overall,i'm giving it a 5 just because like i said,i really loved the supportive characters and it's not their fault they had to follow a bad produced script.

Min Tae Ra + The painter : OTP

I kinda feel like "trash" after i binge watched this drama. To be more precise,i binge watched 21 hours on netflix.
And hell yeah,i enjoyed every minute of it (except the ending cause i was biased since the beginning and i'm still sad that my ship sank)

The monologues, nostalgic music, the characters(that cracked me up everytime they opened their mouths) and just the feeling of being in the 90's was amazing.

Overall,i think the The Reply franchise is brilliant and it's definitely worth watching!
