I think they’re just talking like lovers do. They’re talking about what they would like to do. They both know it’s not realistic imo. He even said at one point his family won’t agree or something along those lines.

Agree! KmLm definitely delivers on the romance so far! I really also enjoyed the darker episodes at the beginning, but I’m happy that everything turned out as it is now.

It’s not realistic, but honestly, if dramas depicted history in a purely realistic way not many people would watch. The best thing imo is if a drama combines fiction and realistic elements in a plausible way. Here in this specific case I prefer the Emperor being depicted in this non realistic way.
