I think she know already wei zhao hve planned to die, and risk everything.. coz the way she doesnt utter any words…
I still think it’s sad that they didn’t talk openly about everything. And he even said to her she should wait for him to come back. I wish they’d talked more. I wish he‘d told her in person how he felt and not to her sleeping. 😢
Prefer the book ending. Cui Liang raises WZ’s son with JC. They settle down in an unknown place.
The drama ending was even more sad imo, because she remained in his home. Even though she has their son, she’s still so alone and heartbroken. Why couldn’t they give them a HE?! It would not have taken away from the meaning of everything that was done before.
YOU GUYS. I am into my feelings over this show. First of all, taken overall this is one of the BEST true enemies-to-lovers…
I hated that too that their only intimate blissful moment was tinged with sadness and apprehension for what was to come the following day. And he should have said to her what he was feeling toward her and their „marriage“ instead of saying it while she was sleeping. It was all so terribly sad. I don’t need skinship at all but I really would have wanted more blissful couple moments for them, especially when there were so many moments full of sadness, angst, anger etc.
Same... one and only.. till the end of the moon and now this.. love of nirvana the only drama i cnt wtch coz its…
Yes, and the character of WZ is such a tragic character. He never got to live for himself, he had to sacrifice everything. So I was so very much hoping for a HE for him 😢
Apart from everything else that I already wrote about the ending, it’s just such a shame because I really wanted to rewatch this drama and now I can’t. I just can’t. 😭 Do the people in the industry not care about rewatch value of a drama?
No, he died right in front of JC‘s eyes. 5 years later that was his soul watching over them from heaven like he promised when he died. JC imagines him with tears in her eyes.

Do you happen to know how the ending was received on C-side?
