I like how it is about the family dynamic for now. Gives a different perspective on Thai life/ culture. The episodes are very intense, but punctuated quite well with comedy and the secondary story.

The target demographic for this genera is late teen girls. They really fantasize about the guys leading to ratings and, in turn, revenue. It won't really be in keeping with the marketing to use actual gay actors. Sad, but it's simply marketing.
If the target audience was young, gay males then using gay actors would make more sense.
