Loving the way Jutgang and Panghom really act like bro and sis.
Earth and Ice also adopted Chut and Pang as uncle and aunt. They show alot of respect for them. The family dynamic is so great! The actors have amazing chemistry too!

Love these set-up. They have so much to go on as the story progresses. So many issues to draw upon to make episodes.

I was expecting it to be worst! Same sport theme, same type of characters.

Ony now we get a story...

After Ep.9 I take back the innocence.
How could Frame do that to Book. Poor Nong was right to say he doesn't trust anyone again...

I hope for Part Time The Series Season 2!

Season 2 still manages to keep the semi-innocence of the first season with a bit of growing-up.
Good coming of age story.

We all knew Jean was a player from Season 1...

Tan and Fing. Whatever happened to them? I mean Tee moved out of his home. Very convenient to get Tan out of the picture. I think he sighted family problems? Was that ever discussed in the show? And this new fling Fing seems to have been picking up. Was that also forgotten?

What is amazing is how they get the dynamics right. The writers have to be family psychologists!

It's so much more than Earth Jang...

LOL. As you said Pang is somewhat the overbearing mother. The bad cop. The children are forced to lie to her and Chut knows this. She really respects his decisions though. In one of the earlier episodes they discussed their roles and parenting methods.
As you said, the family dynamic is amazing. Earth and Ice have as much respect for Chutjen and Pang as they would for their own parents. Jut and Panghom feel as if they are really bro and sis. Earth and Jut have a friendship that feels organic. They may have social/ family psychologists on retainer when writing episodes!
The reactions to situation, as the abortion and Stephen's coming out feel real. The callbacks to the original is just lovely.
I am thoroughly enjoying it more than I thought I would!

What I now realise too is the old one used the same theme song. That story was about Chutjen trying to woo Pang and having her parents right there. They just modernised the theme with Jutjang and Earth! And brought in the new characters like Panghom! Amazing!

Ep 32- Loved how the old mentality clashed with the new thinking :)
