Oh man... Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk acting side by side. This is going to be awesome. I have only watched…
I have only heard the faintest rumblings of hate for Park Shin Hye, but I don't really know what people say about her. For me, she's the total package: funny, talented, and beautiful. I don't know what there is to complain about.
I ended up giving this a 9.5/10. It was endlessly entertaining. Every emotional beat and every comedic scene worked to near-perfection. The scene with Do Min Joon and the car on the cliff (you know the one I mean) is still to this day the coolest thing I have ever seen in a drama and I'm sad I'll probably never see anything that cool in a drama again.
And the CAST! Oh my word. They're all amazing. When Kim Soo Hyun gives the weakest performance in the show, you know you've got a killer cast. All of the main roles were A+ performances.

I have only watched the 1st episode so far, but I will say a couple things:
1) That is one harsh back story. Even for a kdrama.
2) Park Shin Hye is incredibly attractive. In fact, unbelievably attractive. I spent all of You're Beautiful watching her be a boy, but to see her with all the feminine charms and grace of a young Korean lady was startling for me. I would say she just narrowly beats out Kang So Ra as the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in a drama (although I still choose Jang Na Ra as a personal fave).
Top of my list!!! I got bored with Kdramas as they contain too much absurd romance, but I decided to watch this…
Of course you don't have to think the same way as everyone else. But pushing two brothers to be nominated as "Best Couple" in an awards show means you're hoping society accepts incest as "normal" and "acceptable" and "cute". Actual, real-life incest is very harmful and dangerous, and so pushing society to accept it goes beyond just "let me think the way I want to think".
It's fine to let people have preferences and not judge them, but when somebody dwells on, and then promotes, nefarious and hurtful things, then it's unfair for that person to then ask society not to judge them.
Seriously, that was even one of the minor messages of this very drama: the harm you cause when your thoughts are twisted and you don't even realize it.
I don't like the ending. Why do dramas always have to end on cliffhangers? Expecially a good one like I Remember…
I am actually unsure as to whether Min "tossed the new identity away". We never see him do it. What I like about the "ending" for his character is his final word: "Choice". It's something he never had before. In his entire life, things just kept happening to him without him choosing, so for the first time he feels like he actually gets to choose what he wants for himself, rather than what someone else wants for him. It was a great way to wrap up his character.
I gave it an 8/10. It was quite good, but the whole thing just felt like one, giant, 16-hour set up for an actual tv show. This would be a GREAT origin story for the characters. The problem with this being that... this is all we're going to get. Korean producers really need to consider the validity of sequels, or multiple seasons of the same show.
Jang Na Ra was, of course, stellar. Those eyes, man.... those gorgeous gorgeous eyes....
I also felt like the show was at its best when Lee Hyun actually cooperated with the two main "villains" of the show to solve cases and rescue people. Despite the conflict that that creates in me (the viewer) it still created the most compelling television, as you start to really analyze the motivations of each character. It makes you hope that these "villains", if they can be called such, can learn to use their psychoses for good rather than evil.
Also, I give the show bonus points for not leaning on the ever-present "love triangle" storytelling crutch. It then, of course, immediately loses those bonus points for leaning on the ever-present "memory loss" storytelling crutch. These tropes don't bother me, but I always like it when writers can find their way around them.
All in all, a very good, solid drama with great acting, good writing, and one lovely romance.
I don't much like reviewing dramas that are so old, so I'll just comment! This drama is very good! It gets a wee…
Your opinion seems to match with the consensus, and I tend to agree! Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra MAKE this drama, and they're SO good that it's actually my all-time favorite kdrama, 11/10 would watch over and over.
I do think the humor is spot on, too. Well written in that regard.
8/10 This started off with dialogue so bad, i thought it would end up as the drama i gave the lowest rating so…
Definitely agree with all your opinions about the first two episodes, Kang So-Ra, Jin Se-Yeon, and Lee Jong-Suk's stupid stupid hair!
Seriously, this drama turned Kang So-Ra into my first "k-crush", as you can see from my comments below. Really fell in love with her here.
I stopped I couldn't finish it.. I hope my mood change.. I am really into Ae Ra and Seunng Heon ending up together..…
Just so you guys know, I felt like Seung Hyeon was a good match for Ae Ra early on, too. But.... you really see his true nature in later episodes. The guy is no good. No good at all.
After wathing this one, paradise farm and Emergency Couple, I've seen the three (for me) most notible Kdrama's…
Yeo Jin was easily the most tragic character in the show. My heart hurt for her so many times. Seung Hyeon, on the other hand, was close to being the villain of the show. Horrible horrible character.
Can I just say, Jung Woo was so immature throughout and Seung Hyeon easily won me over and I feel sorta disappointed…
Jung Woo was "immature" in the sense that his crush on Ae Ra had him acting like a hormonal teenager again, but that was kind of charming. Seung Hyeon, on the other hand, literally came within inches of ruining Ae Ra's life just because she didn't like him. So who's really more immature?
Seung Hyeon was criminally self-absorbed. He did whatever he wanted all the time and absolutely refused to consider Ae Ra's feelings at any point. I have no idea why he's such a popular character.
Solidarity, brother!

Whatever, you do you, man. But I will always be critical of incest and people who like it. And I'm not wrong to voice it either.

Moon Chae Won! YESSSSSS!
